This probably doesn't count as an obscure song but I don't know where else I could talk about it. Earlier today my AC station played It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, nothing unusual about that, except it had an outro from Casey Kasem. It wasn't a rebroadcast of an old AT40 show (the song they went into right after that was just regular Christmas programming) so I guess their copy of that song was sourced from an old AT40 Christmas special countdown. Weird. Anyone know a countdown where that song was #3? Kinda want to get to the bottom of this.

The syndicated show “Liveline with Mason” plays a lot of songs that I never hear anymore on top 40 radio. This is some of what I’ve heard in the past few months: LMFAO - Shots Eminem - Mockingbird Jonas Brothers - When You Look Me In The Eyes Nina Sky - Move Ya Body Alexandra Stan - Mr. Saxobeat ATC - Around The World (La La La) One Direction - You & I The Chainsmokers - #SELFIE Ed Sheeran - The A Team David Guetta - Memories (feat. Kid Cudi) Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone Skrillex - Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites Adding to this with more I’ve heard recently on Mason’s show. Not super obscure but they’re songs that I was legitimately shocked to hear on the radio. Secondhand Serenade - Fall For You JoJo - Too Little, Too Late Lady Gaga - Alejandro Akon - Lonely Train - Drops Of Jupiter Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles (would expect it on AC but certainly not top 40) Usher & Alicia Keys - My Boo (this one was actually on Q102 Philly)
