I’ve heard “Cash Sh!t” edited in a couple different ways and they weren’t that great. I thought Ty’s edited hook from “Hot Girl Summer” was weird. lol.

What about Don't by Ed Sheeran? Without the censors the song sounds so much more raw and believable that Ed does not want to be messed with. It also gets me kind of hyped up.
Now? "Don't [breath noise] with my love!" It just sounds so awkward.

"I got a bottle of bottle of I've been saving for you" Here's a new one that made me mad: iHeartRadio's kids' edit of MAX's "Checklist" changes "B, bad as hell girl" to "B, everything you deserve". THAT DOESN'T START WITH B. Just mute the word "hell"! They didn't have any problem muting "X's" out of "All our home movies got three X's".

I just heard the AT40 version of Saweetie's "My Type" over the weekend, and my lawd, there's more instrumental than her actually rapping because so much is censored out lol. It's basically her just saying a random word every five seconds and then silence. The hook being the worst offense:
"8................that's the................imma.............all night"
I'm not even exaggerating, that's literally how it's censored and how most of the song sounds lmao.

iHeart's "kids" edit of South of the Border, for one matter, shouldn't exist. However, it at once point censors the word "kiss", completely removes Cardi B, and makes some parts more suggestive. For example, "Push me up on me and sweat, darling", which they tried to solve by putting another part of the song in, became "Won't stop until you sweat, darling".

I heard the censored version of Goodbyes by Post Malone on the radio during a Year-End countdown, and it didn't sound good.

I heard a censored version of “You should be sad” today. They didn’t even make an effort to censor her saying f*cking, when the while purpose of a censored version is literally to censor it.

Hot Girl Summer/Bummer aren’t really bad but they’re both incredibly lazy to the point where they’re funny

Christina Aguilera - Candyman.
I literally don’t know who decided that song needed to be censored — to me it was really sexist that guys can get away with innuendos but she had to have embarrassing trumpet sounds replace the rhymes. It feels like a radio-led thing, honestly.
I mean no wonder it didn’t go very far on radio. I was appalled when I heard it. Way to take a great song and destroy its chart chances.

I know I should stop talking about iHeart and their ridiculous kids stations but I'm sure some parents set their kids in front of them thinking it's better than listening to the actual radio. iHeart even has a separate app just for their kids stations.
Right after playing Work From Home almost completely uncensored (only cutting the "I pipe up, she take that" part), they censored the word "wife" out of Teeth.
"Sometimes when I look at you I see my (echo of "see my")"
What the hell?!

I had no idea about that! Man, way to ruin the song and Christina's chances of getting another hit off the criminally underrated "Back To Basics" era. To be honest, though, 'makes my cherry pop' isn't exactly the most subtle of innuendos... 😬

The clean edit of “Say So” is garbage, would it have been that hard to replace the “ass and titties” lyric with something like “get with it”...something?!?
The word “ass” is warped our, leaving the quiet 2 seconds between verse and chorus feeling super awkward

The clean edit of Lola by Iggy Azalea and Alice Chater just completely removes Iggy saying sh*t. There’s nothing in replacement, it’s just not there.

Oh my god!!! lol. There's like a few edited versions, two of them I heard on the radio. The first one was the standard radio edit with the revised hook and some lines, which I like. The second one is the superclean version with the completely revised verses. That threw me off guard when I first heard it.

Here's a tip for Radio Disney: if you have to censor not only the title of the song, but the name of one of the artists (they refer to Machine Gun Kelly as "MGK" on-air and on their website), consider not playing it instead.
Also, this isn't "MGK ft. Camila Cabello" anymore. This is Camila Cabello ft. MGK.

Just heard Cuz I Love You on the iHeartRadio Family Top 40 Countdown.
"Got you something from the Lizzo store" (yes, they spliced "Lizzo" from the next line).
...Actually, I take it back, this is an amazing edit. I want to go to the Lizzo store

Just rediscovered this gem the other day lol.
For both of Eden XO's (semi)-popular songs, they change "bitch" to "snitch" and it makes me cringe so hard.
Too Cool to Dance: "Bitches better recognize" --> "Snitches better recognize"
The Weekend: "So I can chill everyday like one bad bitch" ---> "So I can chill everyday like one bad snitch"
What exactly is a "bad snitch" lol? Like someone who's terrible at snitching on others?

The clean version of Doja Cat and Rico Nasty's "Tia Tamera" censors the word "thick" because it sounds like "dick".
Would be a pretty interesting lyric: "Dick in the thighs, dick in the waist, dick in the right motherf**king places".
Despite the effort into censoring 'thick', Rico's repeated background vocal of "Bitch!" wasn't censored, making the clean version pretty useless.

I can tolerate F_ck censorship but the thing that infuriates me the most is when it's replaced.
The most disgusting version of this replacement is the Hot Girl Bummer edit where it only bothers to dub the Forget over the first part of the chorus. The rest are just bleeped. It doesn't help that the forget is mixed considerably worse

Doja went on an IG Live rant because multiple places (American Top 40, MTV, iHeartRadio Family Top 40 Countdown) are censoring 'bug him' out of Say So.
The official clean version on Spotify censors "Before" out of "Before I leave you dry"*, but I wouldn't share that information with Doja out of fear of her head exploding.
I've also heard edits on YouTube that censor "bouncin'" and "why you beatin' round the bush", but that's just evidence some people need to get their minds out of the gutter.
*Whoever was in charge of censoring it likely went based on the incorrect lyrics that were going around at that time, which said the lyric was "But fuck that if you try".
