The most celebrated and important female artist of the last half-century. The world has been "hung up" on her since she announced to Dick Clark in 1984 that she wanted to rule the world. And RULE it she has...
Definitely the best version. The remake with Sarah McLachlan is kind of unnecessary. My distant second favorite version is probably INOJ, but I thought the take on Ready for the World's "Love You Down" was a lot more interesting.
This is such an iconic beautiful song Stranger Things season 2 also brought back even more interest for me to the song Though shortly before that as well, I decided to take a trip down nostalgia lane with Cyndi's music
This was used in the season 2 finale of Stranger Things.
"'Vision Of Love', when I first heard that song, I knew it, my mind was made up, I had to be a singer." - Beyonce "When I discovered Mariah Carey and 'Vision of Love,' that was a breath of fresh air. And I adored her from that moment on and idolized her." - Christina Aguilera "I think ['Vision Of Love'] was a vision of the future world of American Idol." - Rich Juzwiak, Slant

Absolutely legendary! This song holds very dear to my heart. It's one of the songs I remember listening to in my early childhood. I would gather my stuffed animals and pretended that they were singing this song. Boy, I miss those days so much! I miss the 80s (born in into the late 80s) and the 90s!!

The best song Cyndi Lauper ever did and one of the best 80s songs. When I was younger, I heard this song as an 80s gold title on Lite FM 93.9, 100.3, and 101.9 the Mix. I even heard it during a mix set on WGCI one time. I'm also familiar with Inoj's cover version from 1998. While that version is decent, the original Cyndi version is still the best.

#116 on Billboard's 500 Greatest Pop Songs
You Know What It Is: A devastating new wave ballad, loaded with lyrical wonders such as “suitcase of memories” and “the drum beats out of time,” about always being there for someone you’ve drifted apart from.
Come Together: Lauper grabbed the song’s title from the 1979 sci-fi flick Time After Time because it starred an actress she adored, Mary Steenburgen; intended as a placeholder, the name stuck.
This Magic Moment: Following her wailed “I will be waiting” promise, Lauper intones the title in a whispery reverie, delivering the final line with a choked-up, painful pause: “Time after…….. time.”
