| | Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 Hot AC 2/20/10 « Thread Started on Feb 20, 2010, 7:51pm » | |
Rpb Thomas holds down the number one spot for the second week in a row with "Someday". Big moves again this week by Lady Gaga and Orianthi, with several other songs making fairly big jumps as well. An interesting Sure Shot this week as Melissa Etheridge returns to Hot AC radio after a lengthy absence with "Fearless Love". And Rick only plays two Bonus Tracks this week, but again tracks that have not been played for awhile. Hopefully he keeps up this trend again next week.

And it's the second straight week a song falls out of the Top 30 to off the chart, as Ingrid Michaelson had that happen to her last week (from 19 no less).

Yeah, and at the same time you have songs that have been stuck at the bottom of the chart for awhile! But a decent chart again this week with several songs making big moves both ways. And nice to see Outkast! and Nelly Furtado being played as Bonus Tracks after Beyonce and the Killers amongst others were played last week. I think people were getting tired of the constant Daughtry and Jason Mraz tracks!

Now all he needs to do is play an up-and-coming track. That might be too much to ask for though, at least on Hot AC.

True, but I guess the Sure Shot comes close to fulfilling that.

Look at that, Rob Thomas is at the top and bottom of the chart, haha. Glad Someday managed a 2nd week @ #1!
I'd say why did it take We Weren't Born to Follow so long to leave the chart. LOL.
Thanks for posting!!
