So far Mariah has worked with The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, LOS Da Mystro, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Timbaland, and James Wright.
She is also co-starring in the films Tennessee and Precious both due out this year.

Looking forward to this. With all of our input I'm convinced she'll find just the right balance of making that killer album.

We barely know anything about this album and it's already on its second thread.

From MD:
Mariah Carey is so good in Lee Daniels's "Precious" in a small pivotal role of a social worker. But her involvement in this extraordinary independent film won't stop there. She told me yesterday at a lunch in Cannes that she and Jermaine Dupri are recording a theme song called "100 Percent" to be added to the final print. Expect to see and hear Miss Mariah at the Oscars next March.
I am so excited. =)

I haven't kept up with Mariah much at all lately but I really liked E=MC2 and I'll be anticipating her album whenever it comes out.

I wish she would leave JD alone. I hate when they worked together now-a-days, they'll never touch the classic "Always Be My Baby (Dupri Mix)", it should just stop, I don't want another "EOM" album, that album is so overrated.

I don't want no JRoc, Royal Court or Justin, and no uptempo Timbaland track either. I want an EPIC ballad with Danja in the co-pilot chair and Jimmy Douglass as the engineer and Larry Gold on strings.

It's for real, and I agree, he better pull out all the stops for Mariah, some legendary ISH.

Supposedly what Nick said was a lie was that information about a song titled "New Chapter," not Mariah working with Timbaland.
She's working with two of the most acclaimed R&B/hip-hop producers in the business and she relegated Jermaine to one track that might not even make the album. Mariah and Island are clearly directly reacting to the response that the last album got and the general consensus about it being enough with Jermaine. It's nice to see her with a label and team that's still so willing to invest in her this way and not make the same mistakes she made at the end of last decade/beginning of this decade. I guess considering she had their best selling album of 2005 and 2008, it's only fair.

It does sound like IDJ has taken heed to the feedback about she & Jermaine's work together on the last cd. It also probably doesn't hurt he & LA have had a little beef going over the past year, too. It sure is only fair. She deserves it! I'm definitely uptempo heat from she & Timberland. So, Mariah actually confirmed working with Timberland herself. Hopefully we'll hear about some others soon, too.

dunno, the vibe of all this seems very very desperate -- like she's simply trying to beat the clock (end of the decade) to at least tie Rihanna and Beyonce for female with the most #1s lol. I know -- well...most people know how she thinks and what her priorities are -- ALL about #1 singles, not quality.

If desperation sounds like what's on her menu, I got a medically prescribed suggestion for you............. DON'T LISTEN! It'll probably make you feel much better!!

You should know that.

She's working with the two most critically acclaimed mainstream R&B producers out there right now. Is the fact that she's 40 years old and working with mainstream producers not allowed? She's been working with the top R&B producers for each and every album for the past two decades. Why should she stop now just because of her age? I didn't realize that when you turned 40 you had to go and work with non-relevant producers and let yourself bomb.

I guess the millions of ppl who bought her records over the last 20 years don't like 'quality' music.lol The only one who's 'desperate' are some of these other determined fanbases. Otherwise, why would you even care what she's doing if you not a fan and you feel she only cares about #1s and doesn't do quality music. It just doesn't make any sense.

I love how people harp on the "alleged" obsession she has with achieving this 21 #1 singles goal. Well, first off, does any think that whomever is behind her, if they could surpass her, do you think they wouldn't want to? I doubt she dreams about it every night. lol But, who wouldn't want it to happen, if it's in the cards. I've also heard plenty of people say she's based her career off chart success. That's ridiculous. I think it's been proven even she has room for error, and she's certainly had her share of bleak moments, so no one can foreshadow their chart success. Yes, not even Mariah Carey.
