I'm surprises it is the album version, nothing cut out.
Nice change of pace and a sing a long song.

I'm surprises it is the album version, nothing cut out. The version that was sent out to radio is 10 seconds shorter than the album version. I'm guessing they just cut some of the intro or outro, but I don't know for sure since I haven't listened yet.

Not my choice for the next single. But I'll take it. Excellent song. He sings it flawlessly.

MusicRow DISClaimer by Robert K. Oermann
BLAKE SHELTON/I’ll Just Hold On Writer: Ben Hayslip/Troy Olsen/Bryan Simpson; Producer: Scott Hendricks; Publisher: WB/Melissa’s Money/Get a Load of This/Encore Entertainment/Mr. Noise/Hillbilly Poetry/Rio Nuevo, ASCAP/BMI; Warner Bros. (track)
—He’s head over heels infatuated in this swirly, mid-tempo, groove-saturated production. As usual, Blake totally nails the vocal.

I was happy when I heard this would be Blake's next single. It's one of the songs that I've enjoyed listening to the most on his new CD. It's different than the singles he's released in the past...just one more way he's stretching himself as his career progresses.

Decent song. Nothing too special lyrically, but it's fairly well executed.

I don't know what it is but I'm bored by his last three singles. I still think that Blake's probably one of the best male country artist right now, but the last three songs really bored me. Hopefully they release "I Don't Care" sometime in the future.

I didn't recognize the title so I went back to his cd. It is a nice song and he sings it well. I like the chorus but I don't like the little vocal thing going on at the end. What is that instrument that is playing at the start of the musical interlude toward the end?

Thanks. Interesting sound that you don't hear in a lot of country songs. I think Shania or Faith might have used it before.

Thanks. Interesting sound that you don't hear in a lot of country songs. I think Shania or Faith might have used it before. The SHeDAISY rendition of "Deck the Halls" has one, as does "Something's Gotta Give". A couple songs on Dwight Yoakam's Gone album use an electric one which sounds somewhat different.

Well, judging by the number of responses on this thread I'm gonna guess most people were just as bored with this single as I was...and yet it's in the top 10...

I would like to see this get Top 10 on Billboard and then quickly fall. He really needs to see some success with an uptempo to get some momentum for his album. This will end up being his eighth Top 10 hit.

Well I'm not bored with any song that Blake sings. He is better vocalist most of your Super Stars. Blake just moves up the chart slow & steady. I see no need to be on here talking about he moved up each week. I also love him because he is so darn funny. Check out this hilarious PeopleTV video of Blake in NYC. Blake is being his wacky self as usual. Watch it HERE. Can Blake pass for Billy Ray Cyrus? www.people.com/people/videos/0,,20295065,00.html

As much as I love this song and think it sounds great on the radio, I am ready for a new single. Heck, I'm ready for a new album. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of his albums the past....what?, 10 years or so?
I'm sure his next one will be just as good, if not, better. But I guess it would be a good idea if he had some momentum first. "100 Miles" would make an excellent single. Although it would be a good idea if he went with something uptempo.....such as "Green", even though I can't stand to listen to that song.

Anything but Green, that song is so cheesy. If they're going to go with an uptempo song they should go with Country Strong. It's one of my least faves off the album, but it's at least tolerable and would fit in nicely on country radio. I would love to see either 100 Miles or I Don't Care released though.

^I agree about "Green" being cheesy and "Country Strong" being at least tolerable.
I would also love to see "I Don't Care" as a single. I've hoped for that since I heard it on Pure BS. Great song lyrically, vocally, and instrumentally. A perfect ballad for country radio.

None of the songs I liked on this CD have been singles. I loved 100 Miles, Never Lovin' You, Good at Startin Fires, and the Miranda duet.
He posted on his twitter asking if people preferred Green or Country Strong as the next single so they may be deciding between those 2.
I don't care for Green and I can't even remember Country Strong so it must not have been one I liked.

Some was in Nashville and some in Dallas. The guys from Lady A & Ran were in Tishomingo, OK at Blake's house and they wrote quite a few songs together last year. It will be fun to see who records these songs.
