"I Wanna Go" experiences its biggest loss, it looks. Nonetheless, a no. 6 airplay peak is a good showing (it actually inched back up 7-6 in airplay for the 9/17 chart, but MLJ should jump it next week).

I wouldn't say "Lighters" is slowly climbing- it had a decent gain in this update. Compared to MLJ, yeah, it's slow. :)
If "Party ROck Anthem" and "Super Bass" continue at their rates of decline, and if "Lighters" continues making gains as it is, "Lighters" has a shot a reaching No. 2 on this list by Wednesday. MLJ- if it continues at its rate of gains- could climb to No. 5 by Wednesday.

^That's what I was thinking. The 9/1 update for Clarkson's single was 2.479m (+ 1.864m). it didn't have the out-of-the-box airplay that has greeted some other new releases.

"You And I" currently has a bullet of +1,104 on Mediabase's pop 7-day rolling chart. BTW- I don't hear anything really "country" about the track- it does have rock leanings, though. And, as it's not uptempo like her other releases, it may not go as high in airplay.

I'd be worried about Cheers (Drink To That) rather than You And I. Cheers is doing fine for such a late single and it already outperformed California King Bed and Man Down, but I hoped it would be a bigger hit. Hopefully it will pick up in the next few days.

Don't know how you don't hear the country elements? It's produced by Mutt Lange and has very country-style harmonies. Sounds like it could have come right off the "Come On Over" album.

Don't know how you don't hear the country elements? It's produced by Mutt Lange and has very country-style harmonies. Sounds like it could have come right off the "Come On Over" album. Yeah, "Yoü and I" has a lot of country elements. However, country radio will never play a song by Lady Gaga or a song that uses a "ü" in the title.  |

Oh, I definitely hear Mutt Lange in the track, as he's produced some rock. And it's rock where the track draws most of its influences (even sampling Queen). There are no traditional country instruments in the track- no "twang," if you will. Plus, Shania isn't the first I think of in terms of COUNTRY, if ya know what I mean. :) Like her a lot, though.

I just know that the first time I heard "You and I" I also tho it was very "Shania" and by the time I didn't know Mutt was involved at all.

Yeah, the track has Lange doing backing vocals, as he did on Shania's biggest albums, so I can see the comparison in regards to parts of the track that feature him.
