Blah why should B.O.B. get that right? Lady Antebellum got shafted, it wouldn't upset me in the least to see every other deserving song get shafted in favor of crap.

Lady A got a negative bullet on H100 for the first time in awhile so I'm guessing they're out of the running.
I don't care either way about Rihanna or Bob. I wonder how well Xtina will do out of the gate. And I hope Hey Soul Sister can break the T5 since it's freaking #2 on iTunes and has been steadily building airplay.

It really is ludicrous how Train's "Hey Soul Sister" has consistently been in the top 5 digital sales for the past six or seven weeks yet radio is still dragging their feet about boosting their airplay... the sales should have LONG ago dictated to radio that the public really likes this song - yet they would rather add more urban/pop crap than something that the public is actually buying. Makes no sense to me... if and when their airplay does peak, the single will have long passed it's peak in sales.
Getting no higher than #6 with the incredible popularity they've had with sales is an absolute joke.

Yeah tell that to the Jason Mraz song (huge popularity: what was it's name???) who peaked at 6 or 7. As much as I like Rude Boy, to have that song more than 5 weeks at #1 will sickening... I hope Christina Aguilera manages her 5th #1 next.

Hopefully "Rude Boy" can hold that top spot down for a few more weeks!! and while i would like Rih at number one for more than five weeks, i would give an exception for Gaga or Xtina :).
what happened to the mediabase airplay numbers?

As long as sales are steady, Rude Boy will remain at the top for a while, especially since airplay is so huge.

I understand your point; however, in this particular situation, aside from Break You Heart, I don't think "Hey, Soul Sister" is more popular than any of the other 5 songs that are currently higher than it on the chart. Beyond the minimal week jumps that are spurred by digital sales, the songs in the Top 10 are usually all "popular" its just a matter of points and numbers that define the order.

This is the third time you've posted a thread for a new Hot 100 before having a thing to say about it. I could start a thread for a Hot 100 whose chart week lies in the third week of November 2011 and ask for predictions of who number one will be. That would be just as useful. If I see a thread with an opening post like this next week, there will be repercussions.

As of now, Rude Boy's popularity bars on Itunes (both versions combined) are greater than Nothin On You's popularity bars. Unless that changes, Rude Boy will definitely be #1 again next week. I'm happy about Rihanna still being #1 (I hope she holds it for a while).

Unless that Christina song blows up with strong digital sales and airplay in April/May.

Hey Soul Sister T10. Maybe that H100 T5 may come after all.
Umbrella 7 SOS 3 Rude Boy 2+ Disturbia 2 Take a Bow 1
Weird that it looks like Rude Boy has a good chance of being her 2nd longest lasting #1 as the lead artist.

What if airplay updates stop, does that mean we can no longer provide our input on future chart weeks bc our sources of this chart are absent?

He is saying if you open the thread with a nonsense post on Thursday moring just simply for the "glory" of starting the thread, he will say something. If you open the thread Thursay or Friday morning with something relevant to contribute (which has happened many times) then that is OK. At some point during the week, this thread will open anyway. In the distant past, this used to open over the weekend.
