Hot Adult Contemporary became a recognized format at Radio & Records in 1994, however Billboard did not recognize the format until 1995, so until then Hot AC stations were reported to the Adult Contemporary format.

Not half bad. Looks like everything up until #23, "Keeper of the Flame" (which I've never heard), all made the CHR as well.
AC is similar to Top 40 today too, except around the holiday season. There was a period in the late 90s when the two formats were very different.
