It's not like the song's slow climb on Itunes is a surprise. Aside from tweets, the song hasn't gotten a lot of promotion, and neither has Kris. Over the last year and a half he hasn't been in the public eye. and hasn't had a great deal of radio play. He doesn't have a big internet base, and being in the Internet radio community is pretty much the only way that people would know about this song. He really needs radio support. I hope that RCA can get stations to come on board, despite his lack of name recognition, and rabid fanbase.

lol i know all of this i was just simply asking if it's top 200 or not. I didn't have access to i-tunes at that time.
I'm curious how big his fan base is and this week is the best chance to find out imo. Anyway he'll get i-tunes banner tomorrow, that should help with the downloads.

I really like the final radio edit of the remix. The octaves on the vocals/enhanced production really enhance the track from the original leak.
What's worrying is that the remix is not available on Amazon or iTunes.

It is currently #251 on the overall iTunes chart and #75 on the iTunes pop chart. It has moved up nearly 300 places over the past 3 hours.
Some reports of people going to Wal-Mart and being told that the song isn't in stock yet. I would make sure they check in the store room, as they may have it, but haven't put it up on display yet.

I'm not crazy about the new remix, but I think that comes down to sound quality, so I hope it will sound better on the cd. I do think that the remix would do well on pop, but I would miss the first part of the chorus, but some people might think that that part is too preachy, so maybe it's good that they cut it.

Very doubtful they would ever officially send the remix out to radio. I think the version on iTunes sounds fine, and it's a lot more radio friendly than I thought it would be. Great song.

I'm heading to Wal-Mart tomorrow actually. How much is it? $1.88 for the two songs, not bad. There were only 4 copies at my Walmart, but I had to dig through the A's to find them.

But maybe in this instance they might try that.

The Vision of Love started off the day at #173 on iTunes & is currently at #103. Keep spreading the word guys! It's made some nice jumps today.

Nice to see the increase! I really hope radio plays this. I have no doubt it would be a hit, just need that initial sampling.

Never again will I be so out of touch with reality. I went into iTunes expecting this to be #1 this morning. Until now, I had no idea that this had no buzz surrounding it, outside of Pulse.

Tried looking for it at two different Wal-Marts earlier today and couldn't find any copies. :(

Theres a physical version of this at Walmart? Yes. There's a special 2 track CD single with the album version and an edit of that dance remix that surfaced previously. In the past, Beyonce has released CD maxi singles that were exclusively sold through Walmart.

There were also more recent examples like Lady Gaga's BTW single & someone else I just can't put my finger on.
Have you guys been digging through the A's at your local Walmart? My Walmart had 4 in stock but they were hidden behind Gary Allan (who?) CDs.

This has not even craked the top100 on itunes? :o. I think David Archuleta's "Something 'bout Love" cracked top 30 even though it didn't get much promo. Kris is (almost) universally well-liked in the idol fandom but he seems to have a very small hardcore fanbase. I find it bizarre ???.

Yeah it's very disappointing, but on the other hand I didn't expect much more. His fanbase is very small. I hope in time the song will become a hit.

Well what does anyone expect? It's been REALLY quiet in Kris-Dom as of late. David used to have a rabid teen girl fanbase & his debut album sold more than double Kris'. If Twitter followers are any indication, he also has 3 times the amount of followers willing to listen to his banter over Kris.
I wasn't expecting much either from this single as its been a very quiet release thus far. However, I don't see how people are surprised. Heck, Demi Lovato performed her latest single GYHAB at American Idol recently & is still struggling outside of the top 100 on iTunes. I only use her as an example because her song & Kris' are much more HAC than CHR and she performed on one of the biggest platforms out there.

I believe that Archie's single sold around 20,000 copies its first week, so having close to a million followers, and charting above 100 on Itunes didn't help it. Those things didn't stop it from flopping either.
TVOL won't sell more than 9 to 15,000 copies this week, but nobody should be surprised about that. Kris and his management continue to do a horrible job in promoting him. It was clear that his hardcore fan base is small, and that he did very little to gain the attention of new fans, or hold the attention of some of the existing ones, during his last era, but they haven't done anything over the last two years to get him more exposure, and change how people perceive him.
The good news is that Live Like We're Dying also had a very humble start, so things can turn around.
But, the bad news is that in order for things to turn around the song needs airplay, and Kris' previous lack of exposure, name recognition and buzz is going to make it hard to convince program directors to play his song.

This didn't actually go for adds this week, did it? If so...it didn't get any.

On FMQB it is listed as going adds in April TBD, which means it hasn't gone yet, but usually the songs in lists like TBD never go to adds, hopefully it won't be the case. But it has yet to crack into hot AC top 50, which means that things don't look so good.

oinapead, I don't think that is necessarily true because FMQB also had TVOL listed on the HAC TBD list for the longest time. RCA promo originally stated the CHR adds date was 3/26 so it looks like they pushed it back. Plus TVOL has only gone for HAC adds two weeks ago & is steadily gaining spins & new stations. Kris has yet to start radio promo.
