I like that idea. It also tied into the sound bite. Gavin asked if they were familiar with Sisqo's song called "Incomplete," and one of them (Nick?) sang a few bars.

BTW, in case you haven't noticed, Seacrest is now two weeks behind the R&R chart. As a result, this chart matches up to the June 24 chart instead of the July 1 chart.

With Gavin DeGraw being the guest host, they didn't allow him to ad-lib about himself like Seacrest. In fact, when he played "I Don't Want To Be", the only word out of the script was "Cool"; plus, Gavin did no back announce after his song just the basic jingle.

I didn't catch what happen after "Chariot", so I can't comment about that. It was refreshing to listen to this one.

In many cases yes the BB 100 SOMETIMES affects the AT40. Like last year Terror Squad went Top 10 on AT40 because it was number one on BB 100. Same thing happened to "How we do." Although that song didn't go to number 1 on BB 100. But the AT40 is usually the same as the R&R chart but it's just a few weeks slower and recurrents stay on the countdown.

Kids in back seats causes accidents, accidents in back seats cause kids.

I still say they should go back to using the ACTUAL R & R chart, but that would be a question for the powers-that-be at Premiere. And contrary to what a certain person believes(and some of you know exactly who I'm talking about), AT40 isn't going to be cancelled because of no recurrent rule. Although in the year and a half since Seacrest took over for the legend, the #1 on AT40 and the R & R chart has been the same every week I believe. Although not on Billboard obviously, since they still figure sales and downloads into their Cold 100. I don't think we will see Carrie Underwood or Bo Bice on here anytime soon. But it does seem that the recurrents aren't staying on here for as long as they were last year at this time. I mean my God, you had a year-old song still in the Top 30 I believe and another song still in the Top 10 three months after it hit #1!!! But what do you do???

It could have been anybody reading the script.

The staff writers gave Gavin no freedom whatsoever. I could not believe they made him say "all around Hottie, Gwen Stefani", sure Seacrest would say something dumb like that in a five second song intoduction that but not Gavin. It just didn't sound natural almost like he was reading an eye chart.

Then, they had Rob Thomas as the focus artist. Poor Gavin didn't even have a chance to talk about his own songs, which was pretty sad. They decided to play an extra song instead, ooh well it's better than the other option.
