• Kelly doesn't touch 3 Doors Down's longevity record, but she nails a solid second place.
• Yes, I know Ryan's playing the "Recognize It" version of Sean Paul's song (just as he plays the "Don't Mess..." version of the BEP song). But I like using proper song titles.
• I've noticed that in the past several weeks, they've skipped the second verse of "Listen To Your Heart."
• AT40 breaks the pattern of synching up with R&R's number ones. I would've expected Kelly to be on top this week and Kanye next week. It remains to be seen if "Because Of You" will make it.

Yup, tied with "I Love You Always Forever" as the longest running #1 pop song in the Rock Era.

I like "Most Girls." I'm glad they chose that as an optional.

That's exactly what I was thinking when "Gold Digger" was #1, since that's number one on the October 28 chart, but as I looked further on down the chart, it became clear that the matching chart was the October 21 chart. Perhaps they're taking the number one songs from the chart from the week before and leaving the rest of the chart like the one from two weeks ago?

Anyway, it's good to see that "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson didn't break the record. Since Papa Roach doesn't have any other big hits racing up the countdown, it is indeed possible that "Scars" might break the 50-week record set by 3 Doors down. And I don't believe that Lifehouse has any other song released to Pop radio. Then again, that doesn't mean much. Neither did Will Smith, whose "Switch" I thought might beat the record, but it came nowhere near.

We'll just have to see what happens.

Yeah, so that didn't affect the performance of "Switch" much at all. I think that the song fell fast during its last few weeks because "Switch" was sort of a "summer hit", which might explain why it charted on the lower reaches of the R&R Hot AC chart, as well as on the VH-1 Weekly Rewind back in July. When summer was over, the song started to lose steam a little more quickly.

I have a feeling that "Hung Up", as well as "Luxurious" will debut next week. "Let Me Hold You" looks to be on its last legs and it'll probably fall out next week, along with "Holiday" or maybe even "These Words".
