There will also be a new interactive poll on at40.com where you can vote on a series of questions Eminem.
Will his re-marriage with Kim last? When Hailey turns 18 will they divorce? Will his Grandma cause a break up? Will he cheat on her while on tour? Will it last forever?
check it out this week... ;)

does anybody know what chart AT40 uses for this? Perhaps we should post a F.A.Q. every week. The chart is determined by Mediabase 24/7 based on playlists of the monitored stations that air the show.

The big question though is "Can "Scars" hold on for two more weeks?"

Meanwhile back on the range of the Midwest, we have the SleazeCrest story of the week. Leave it Mike Evans, Hollywood repoter, hitting the national airwaves with this nugget on March 8th.
Who really wants him? Yes, it's a female. During the Oscars last Sunday, someone was really flirting with him. She has gone on record to say that she would love to spend more than just one night with the E! Channel star and really wants a date. Will he date her or turn her down? If he turns her down, the rumors will fly again. Can't wait to find out if SleazeCrest & Jessica Alba become a couple.

I should add Mediabase 24/7 only monitored stations within the Top 100 markets. Fargo, did somebody say Fargo...where's Big Eddie when you need him.

*BREAKING NEWS* Ryan has a new chair. Now, on with the countdown. Good God!!! Don't tell that he mentioned this during the show. Yes, it was before the opening theme. First time I've listened to the show from beginning to end since early 2004, probably not gonna happen again for awhile. Meanwhile, for comparison, here's what AT40 listeners in Atlanta got to hear this evening, thanks to the censors at Star 94: AMERICAN TOP 40 - MARCH 11, 2006 LW TW WKS Artist - TitleLast Week's Number One: Beyonce' featuring Slim Thug - Check On It-- 40 (01) Bo Bice - The Real Thing 38 39 (48) Papa Roach - Scars 35 38 (33) Weezer - Beverly Hills "Special request for Sandy Springs": 3 Doors Down - Let Me Go Keith Urban - You'll Think Of Me "Special request for Roswell": OutKast - Hey Ya!27 35 (09) Relient K - Who I Am Hates Who I've Been 34 34 (03) The Pussycat Dolls featuring Will.I.Am - Beep 40 33 (02) Pink - Stupid Girls Optional Extra: Evanescence - My Immortal32 31 (05) Ashlee Simpson - L.O.V.E. 31 30 (39) Lifehouse - You And Me 28 29 (17) Rihanna - If It's Lovin' That You Want 30 28 (28) Gorillaz featuring De La Soul - Feel Good Inc. We got to hear Ryan tease upcoming stories about Jamie Foxx and Eminem, and then never heard the stories themselves because the segments were edited out. We also heard the intro music to T-Pain (started playing over the end of AT40 Sleaze) and Juelz Santana (played over the DVD release update) before awkwardly cutting to the Rob Thomas and Goo Goo Dolls songs (respectively). Seriously, what's the point of airing a national countdown show if you're just gonna edit out songs you don't approve of? They may as well just call it "Star 94 Top 40" if they're gonna do that.

I wonder why Star 94 doesn't just air the Hot AC version. Do they normally take out songs like that?

Do they normally take out songs like that? From what I understand, yes. Someone had mentioned it a while back either here or on another discussion board, and I finally decided to listen for myself and see exactly how they did it. As for why they don't just use the Hot AC version, I guess they don't want to play a countdown completely devoid of rhythmic crossover songs (like Beyonce and Ne-Yo) since those tunes are part of their regular playlist. It just baffles me why they feel the need to edit out a handful of R&B/rap songs... just shove AT40 in an early morning slot, and they wouldn't have to worry about any casual listeners happening upon the show and getting offended by hearing a song that's not normal Star 94 material.

Did the show time out properly on Star 94? Did it run late, early or was it exactly four hours?

Did the show time out properly on Star 94? Did it run late, early or was it exactly four hours? The first three hours timed out pretty close to an hour each. The final hour (and thus the show itself) ended about 10-15 minutes before midnight, because of the loss of the Nelly song and the final hour optional extra. And there didn't seem to be an overload of local commercials, so nothing to pad it out.

I should add Mediabase 24/7 only monitored stations within the Top 100 markets. Only the top 100? Just curious to know where you found this info, billme? I'll respond to this one. Unless you work for Mediabase 24/7 or AT40, you really don't know which markets are reporting stations or monitored for the Top 40 weekly report. Someone very ambitious could research this; it's unlikley that you will get a straight answer. My statement was made by the fact that at one time Mediabase 24/7 did not want to monitor stations outside the Top 100 markets because it was cost prohibitive. This sourced by various trade publications. I do know that Fargo is not monitored by Mediabase as is Fort Wayne, IN market 105.
