^Why? It's not like it was riding high on the chart, like "My Happy Ending" two years ago. A few weeks ago, it was at #35 on the matching R&R chart (July 28). Songs generally don't hit the AT40 chart until they're in the Top 30 of the corresponding R&R chart.

Anyway, I just found out this weekend that U93 in South Bend dumped the lame duck that is called "Rick Dees Weekly Top 40" and picked up on "AT40" instead. And now, it starts at 9:00 instead of 8:00, so I can probably start listening to it again, although I'd probably be better off taping it, since the VH1 Weekly Rewind and Fox AllAccess are also in that 9am-1pm tume frame. I didn't even bother taping the Rick Dees show when they still had it, because I was so fed up with the chart, which is no longer based on anything real. It's obviously figured out by some random selection type method. AT40 may not have any kind of recurrent rule, but at least the chart makes sense, for the most part. So now two stations in my area run the show, which is cool, since if WKSC runs the same show as last week, which it did this morning, I can catch it on U93 (I generally don't listen to it on WKSC anyway, since I'm usually getting ready for church during the first hour and at church during the second).
Anyway, this ends a near fourteen-year absence of AT40 from U93; back in October, 1992, they dropped the show in order to run "Dave Sholin's Fast Track", which IMO was pointless, since it flopped less than six months later anyway.
