Well, Nickelback doesn't get their #1 that they should have gotten, but at least now Hinder gets #1 to knock out Miss JoJo. And another thing, can't Mr. Metro go a week without playing Kelly Clarkson? Nothing against Kelly, but geezsh!

I would love Ryan to admit he's gay and date me, while he's playing Kelly Clarkson.

With fewer recurrents than usual, four debuts, and the two breakouts, this chart seems almost fresh.

I would love Ryan to admit he's gay and date me, while he's playing Kelly Clarkson. Hahahahaha! Funniest quote this week *wipes tears*. Good extras yet again this week Kelly & Nickelback as well as Avril! With fewer recurrents than usual, four debuts, and the two breakouts, this chart seems almost fresh. Word. Although I do have a problem with Ridin staying on and Hips dropping off. Do the affilates have THAT much a difference? HDL was like 300 spins above Ridin heh..oh well Ridin should be gone but Move Along got the honorable mention. Rightfully so, that song is taking forever to drop off with never losing more than 400 spins from when it went recurrent.

Chart commentary: Four debuts this week, the most in quite awhile. Of the four songs that drop out, two of them are recurrents that have been on the chart for well over half a year. "Hips Don't Lie" by Shakira featuring Wyclef Jean, and "Savin' Me" by Nickelback had both been on for thirty-some weeks. This week, they drop out, along with "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado and "Pullin' Me Back" by Tyrese, the only song in the Top 30 of the corresponding R&R chart not on the AT40 chart.
Songs still on AT40 that have since moved to recurrent on the November 3 R&R chart: #22: Me & U/Cassie (why the hell is it moving back up??) #24: Ain't No Other Man/Christina Aguilera #25: Over My Head (Cable Car)/The Fray #28: (When You Gonna) Give It Up To Me/Sean Paul f/Keyshia Cole (wow, what a big drop!) #31: Crazy/Gnarls Barkley #33: Move Along/All-American Rejects #39: Ridin'/Chamillionaire
Songs still on the R&R chart that have not yet made it onto AT40: #31: When You Were Young/The Killers (one of this week's Breakout Tracks) #38: Wait A Minute/The Pussycat Dolls f/Timbaland #39: Song With Monumental Title/Panic! At The Disco #40: I Know You See It/Yung Joc f/Brandy "Ms. B" Hambrick (although this song is now out of the running, since November 3 is its last week on the chart)
Songs still on the R&R chart that have since dropped off the AT40 chart: #30: Pullin' Me Back/Chingy f/Tyrese #36: Chain Hang Low/Jibbs #37: Maneater/Nelly Furtado
Biggest mover: #18: Fergalicious/Fergie (+11)
Biggest dropper: #34: Sexy Love/Ne-Yo (-11)
Oldest song on the survey: #33: Move Along/All-American Rejects (31 weeks)
The other Breakout Track, "Wind It Up" by Gwen Stefani, is not even on the corresponding R&R chart, but it's not far off, as it is the top New & Active track. On the November 10 chart, it makes a strong debut and I expect it will do the same on AT40 next week.
As stated above, Nickelback was cheated out of the number one position, but, as Bruce Hornsby says, that's just the way it is. Personally, I like the JoJo song better, but I still think Nickelback should have gotten number one. Anyway, the number one songs are back on track, as Hinder is #1 on both AT40 and the R&R chart.

How the hell is The Killers' track considered a new tune such as Stefani's? Way behind the times.

How the hell is The Killers' track considered a new tune such as Stefani's? Way behind the times. I KNOWS!!! The Killers came out like in July. They don't base the "Breakout" tracks on when the songs came out; they pick out a song growing on the Mediabase chart that is not yet on AT40. For instance, last week "Waiting On The World To Change" was a Breakout track last week, but it's hardly new - it came out around the time that The Killers song did, if not before. I do like the way they chose "Wind It Up" by Gwen Stefani even though it was not yet on the corresponding R&R chart (though it might have debuted in the Top 40 of the Mediabase chart). As stated in my commentary, I wouldn't be surprised to see that song debut in the Top 30 next week, like it did on the November 10 R&R chart.

I KNOWS!!! The Killers came out like in July. I believe it was released to Hot AC stations first. Same with "Breathe (2 A.M.)," "Black Horse & The Cherry Tree" and "I Don't Want To Be."

Correct, this is the first song to hit #1 on both 'Billboards R&R and Mediabase' and not hit #1 on AT40 in recent memory. Nickelback reigned 1 week on R&R and 2 weeks on Mediabase. I think Jojo only hit #1 on ARC Weekly Top 40 Countdown, not R&R or Mediabase (well for more than 24 hours in mid week). Yet again gonna be interesting to see what happens next week, but since Hinder reigned for 3 weeks on Mediabase I'm expecting a second week at #1 for them on AT40.
