Back in 2002, I got caught with a handgun in my home state of New Jersey. But before going before the judge, I ran away to California to avoid prosecution. Once out there, I was arrested on another weapons charge & sentenced to 16 months in a California State Prison. It took quite a long time, but at one point, they discovered my outstanding warrant back in New Jersey & I was sent back and placed in cellblock B2 in South Jersey. In an odd twist of fate, my Uncle Mike was also in the same cellblock & we became cell mates. A month after I arrived, my uncle had a chest x-ray and was told he has lung cancer. He died 6 weeks later in January 2003. When they took him to the infirmary, I didn't know it would be forever. I guess I was I'll see him again in Heaven. I now have one year left out of six here at the Southwood State Prison. Every Sunday, I take my radio to the yard & I listen to your show on WJBR. I don't ever miss it. Maybe you could play "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys. From Danny to Uncle Mike: to say goodbye once more. Thank you Casey. I'll be listening.
