°(LDD) Photograph - Nickelback
Dear Casey,
Recently, I went to a Nickelback concert in Canada. When I got there, I bought a Nickelback t-shirt as a keepsake and slipped it on over the shirt I was wearing. It was a fantastic show. And when it was over (on the way out), my girlfriend at the time stepped into the line for the ladies' room. We had been having trouble lately, and I thought the concert date might help the situation. Actually, we really only had one problem: jealousy. Well, I had quite a wait as you can imagine. And as I waited, a beautiful olive-skinned woman with deep brown eyes and long curly black hair walked up to me and asked if she could take a picture of me in my Nickelback shirt. Very cool. Naturally, I said yes & ask to get a picture with her on my camera. Her friend, snapped the shot. It felt so natural to have my arm around this fantastic woman. I asked if she liked the concert. I sensed a lot of chemistry between us. She was amazingly friendly. I loved her smile, and the smell of her perfume. Her name was Angela. You know what happened next. My jealous girlfriend came back to find me with my arm around this exotic beauty. She asked me what I thought I was doing & stormed out of the arena. Despite chasing after her & trying to explain, it was over. We broke up. I'm fine with that, but my mind always drifts back to that all-to-brief encounter with Angela. When I look at the picture of us together, I dream of what it would be like to be with her once again. Casey, could you play my favorite Nickelback song "Photograph" for Angela somewhere in Canada? From Paul in Buffalo. Thanks.
Paul

°(From 2006) You and Me - Lifehouse; song was used on "Grey's Anatomy", "Smallville", and "Boston Legal".
°(From 1972) American Pie - Don McLean; this week marks the 50th anniversary of "The Day the Music Died". Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and "The Big Bopper"'s plane crashed as they headed from Iowa to Minnesota. One critic wrote that Holly was "the single most influential creative force in early Rock & Roll." even though he was 22 when he died and released few recordings.
°(Spotlight from 1989) The Best - Tina Turner; song was used by boxer Chris Eubank & later recorded by skater Nancy Kerrigan.
°02. Viva la Vida - Coldplay: holding for 3rd week

I wanted to record myself playing guitar (at age 12), so I taped over all those songs. All my early singing is gone. In fact, so is my guitar playing. I lost those tapes a long time ago."
