Dear Casey,
I recently received some wonderful news. My wife of 13 years Pam is expecting our first child in June. We're currently making numerous preparations for this big event. Early on in her pregnancy, we decided on 2 things. One, we would not know the gender of the baby until birth. And two, we would need to select the name that would work regardless of whether we had a boy or a girl. The purpose of my dedication letter is to ask my wife Pam & you to allow us to name our child "Casey". You've been a big part of our lives, and this would be a small way to express our thanks to you. Although we have never met you, we feel like we have known you all our lives through your radio programs. I always beat my friends & family in music trivia games thanks to all the knowledge gained from your programs over the years. Also, your name "Casey" fits our criteria for names that work for either a boy or a girl. Please let us know your answer. We'll be sitting by the radio each weekend to determine if this will be the name or if we need to go back to the drawing board. Thanks for all the years of keeping us entertained and informed. Could you please play "With Arms Wide Open" by Creed and dedicate it to my wonderful wife Pam & our new arrival?
Sincerely,
Sam
(Note: Mike made no attempt to answer Sam's request.)
°03. Viva La Vida - Coldplay: holding for 6th week
°(Spotlight from 1975) Sister Golden Hair - America; group had 8 top-40 POP hits during the 70's.
°(From 2001) Thank You - Dido; Eminem's "Stan" sampled the song and charted as well.
°(From 1998) My Favorite Mistake - Sheryl Crow; Stevie Nicks talks about the time last year when Sheryl considered, but eventually declined joining Fleetwood Mac: "Sheryl and I are really good friends. I told her how difficult Fleetwood Mac is, and that it's like being in the Army: that once you sign on, you have no life. I told her to really think about it."
°(Spotlight from 1975) Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
°02. Love Story - Taylor Swift: holding for 6th week; song is Romeo & Juliet-style in that "it's a love you gotta hide because it probably wouldn't go over well."
°(Spotlight from 1973) Peaceful Easy Feeling - Eagles; group had 13 top-40 POP hits during the 70's including 9 top-10's & 3 #1's.
°(From 2008) Realize - Colbie Caillat
