Dear Casey,
Recently my wife and I were blessed with the birth of our first child. Our son Bret Lawrence was born on April 1st. We've been told by so many people that having a child would change our lives, but we didn't realize just how much that is true. With his blue eyes and cute smile & seemingly always sunny disposition, Bret has captured our hearts in a way they'd never been before. It seems hard to believe, but even lack of a full-night's sleep doesn't bother us because we're doing it for him. We frequently find ourselves looking at him with amazement that we helped bring him into this world. We can't wait to make a lifetime of special memories with our special little boy, and I can't wait to expose him to your show (just like my dad did when I was little). So Casey, would you please play "With Arms Wide Open" for Bret? Even though he's not old enough to understand it yet, we'll save the dedication to play for him when he is, and it will be a cherished family memory. Thank you Casey.
Sincerely,
Scott and Michelle

°(From 2003) Landslide - Dixie Chicks; Semisonic member Dan Wilson's goal was to write songs for the Dixie Chicks. After he sent them some demo's, they invited him over. He ended up writing 5 songs on the Grammy-winning album "Taking the Long Way", while "Not Ready to Make Nice" won Song of the Year. He said: "We spent so much time together, they call me the "4th Dixie Chick". I like working with them as much as I like working with my own band."
