Anastacia has confirmed that she would be releasing a number of singles in 2011 and a full album in 2012. It has been reported that she has worked with producer/remixer Tony Moran on some songs for the album. In addition to his club-oriented material, he has collaborated with Jon Secada, Gloria Estefan, and Luther Vandross on some of their albums in the past.
I just discovered that Anastacia released a new song with Belgian singer Natalia Druyts last year called "Burning Star". It's hot.
They did and are possibly still doing sort of European tour together.

Can't wait! Hopefully her first single will be more lively than I Can Feel You. I still think if Heavy Rotation had been the first single she wouldn't have had any problems last era.

This is some of the best news I've heard in AGES! She's my FAVE artisit that has one of fhe best voices ever. I've always enjoyed her albums and have been waiting for a new one.
I still wish that she would get the recognition here in the states that she deserves. Instead, I'll prob have to do like I did with Heavy Rotation and buy it on AmazonUK :(
I have that Burning Star song and love it.
I wonder how long we are going to have to wait for a single

Her last album flopped didn't it? And the one before that. And the one before that. And the one before that. :( She's extremely underrated here and deserves more success.

'Cause her first 3 album plus her GH were all HUGE in Europe. She seems to be more interested in making music this time around, compared to 2008 (when "HEAVY ROTATION" got released), so hopefully she'll bring out better material. Her first 3 records are amazing, she's definately one of my fave artists ever ;)

Taken from anastaciasource.org:
"Heartbeat" is called the song of Anastacia and Tony Moran that will be out in August/September and it is a dance song. Anastacia also revealed through her official twitter account that a video will be done She is keeping her dance roots & bringing back her Sprock sound."..

Maybe this new material will give her another opportunity, since dance is so popular right now. But it will have to do well overseas first.
I had always thought 'One Day in Your Life' was a huge hit. My local station was one of the few that spun it constantly back then I guess, lol.

Hey guys! Quick update - Album to get a worldwide release Summer 2012 - The sound is said to be a fusion of Sprock, House and Dance - She will definitely tour with the album - A single with Tony Moran (seperate to the album) will come out later this year, it's rumoured to be called Heartbeat. The video and photoshoot will be done in September - A song for a big company to promote their product will come out February 2012. It's possibly a collab with DJ Tiesto for Skoda, it will be on the album OFFICIAL TWITTER: twitter.com/anastaciafanily

Looking forward to this! Hope it's more "Left Outside Alone" (one of the best pop songs ever IMO) than "I Can Flop You".

It will be :) She's ditching that sound, it was just a test sound her label wanted her to try, she's going back to her roots!

I didn't think it was a huge hit but I thought it did better than it did. I just looked at All Music and it peaked at Number 30 on Billboard Top 40 Mainstream. It peaked at Number 29 on R&R CHR-Pop. I listened to it last week and liked it more than when it came out.

For anyone who is interested:
Looks like she's gonna be aiming for a more traditional sound.

Some news! Here new album is called It's A Man's World and it will be released on November 9 in Europe. It is a concept album similar to an album of the same name that Cher did in the mid 90s where she covered songs that were originally recorded by male Rock artists. The first single is called "Best Of You", and that is a cover of a song by the Foo Fighters. Source
That track with Tony Moran "Heartbeat" ended up not coming out with Anastacia doing vocals on it. It was re-recorded by Diva Convention and it was released on one of Tony's new compilations. Another song that Anastacia did with Tony called "If I Was Your Boyfriend" was released earlier in the Summer. Main version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4P3Du-YvK4Her song with Tiesto came out too. It's called "What Can We Do (A Deeper Love)". It interpolates the chorus from Clivilles & Cole's 90's hit "A Deeper Love". Tiesto edit: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IGgkDfb4lcAnastacia version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7px4138K1HQ&feature=related

I honestly think "What Can We Do (A Deeper Love)" was a majorly huge missed opportunity. It should have at least been promoted as a major single in Europe, and conservatively, I think it could have made some sort of splash stateside as well. The Tiesto version to pop and the clubs, the Anastacia version to the AC formats.
Of course, I know she stated several years ago she had no desire to promote anything stateside, but I WANT HER BACK :'(

Because the US has shunned her music at every turn.
I'm Outta Love barely scrapped the Hot 100, One Day In Your Life only bubbled under, despite heavy VH1 play, and Left Outside Alone only made an impact at Hot AC.

Too bad this kind of rock sound isn't in anywhere at the moment, so I can't see her having any hits from it; if that was her intentions. She didn't deviate from the originals at all. All of the songs are pretty good. I don't feel she murdered any of them.
I love 'One' and 'Back in Black', and 'Dream On', and 'You Give Love A Bad Name.'

It sucks that the US never embraced her (other than her Club hits), but at least she did become absolutely massive everywhere else, if that's any comfort. She's not struggling, and can release music at her own pace. She'll continue putting out music so we'll always have something to look forward to...

The voice is back! After the lackluster "Heavy Rotation" I was thinking the terrific power of her voice had gone, but on this album it's all back! Great song selection too; "Wonderwall", "One" and "Best of You" are all fantastic!

OMFG this album is fantastic!!!! She's always been better when doing rock-ish stuff instead of the soul/dance/pop that was on her earlier stuff and Heavy Rotation.
