I was just trying to defend her from some bad comments and people are fighting with me. I don't understand.

For the first time, one "American Idol" replaces another at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart as Adam Lambert's "Trespassing" debuts atop the list with 77,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. His arrival bumps last week's leader, Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away," down to No. 3 (54,000; down 55%).

That was a short and sweet interview with dateline. Her singing flo ride and her riding the bull.

Wait....is 50k bad for a third week? Well, it isn't going to increase in sales without a song to attract new buyers. Hopefully the CMT Awards help a bit, but at this point it will struggle to reach 1 million in sales without a single catching on and spurring sales. I mean, why is Adele already back past her? What is selling Adele's CD at this point? Crazy.

What is selling Adele's CD at this point? Crazy. I completely disagree with this post. Is Adele's '21' once in a blue moon sales monster the new gold standard by which all artists' records are judged ? 'Blown Away' will be gold very shortly, based mostly on Carrie's name and opening single. The stellar performance of the single 'Blown' forebodes huge success (Im guessing single sales of 2+ million without crossover AirPlay and 3-4 million with crossover AirPlay). This likely will translate into album sales legs, because just based on Carrie's performance of that song alone on Sunday, her album has stayed consistently ahead of '21' this week, a statistic which seems important to you. I am forecasting 1.5-2 million album sales without crossover of the 'Blown' (the single) and 2-2.5 million with crossover.

The more I listen, the more I believe that Who Are You is a Christian song. Can anyone clarify? It was written by Mutt Lange and he's not a Christian, but Carrie believes he pitched it to her because it is still a faith-based song and whether you are Christian or not, the message of faith and the universal feeling behind the song can make it whatever someone wants it to be.

Mutt Lange is a follower of Sane Mat where they believe in a define purpose which maybe why Who Are You sounds so religious. I think this song expressed his beliefs of a great power
If you look at the sales for the first 3 weeks of PO and BA, given the fact that BA has not released 4th quarter, show that BA is only behind in sales of less than 95k
WK 1 PO: 317,695 BA: 267k WK 2 PO: 128,443 446,254 BA: 120k 387k WK 3 PO: 86,218 532,472 BA: 54k 441k
The album is back up to #7 after all the new releases. The summer time is always slow for album sales, but Carrie is holding up really well.
Here is her BBMA performance from the audience perspective
11yr old girl covering BA. She is using this song to bring awareness to child abuse. I would of never thought of using this song for that

Carrie tweeted and she's happy about the finale for American Idol, she's taking Mike and her mommy to the finale tonight. off-note: American Idol has a new record in voting last night. 132.3 million votes was cast last night. twitter.com/#!/carrieunderwood twitter.com/#!/americanidol

That 11 year old girl covering BA is really pretty good. I also didn't think of that song being used for a child abuse campaign. It works though. If this video goes viral, it'll help the cause, the little girl's career, and at a less important level, sales for the song. Great all the way around.

"Blown Away" sounded even better from the audience perspective. Wow, she really did nail it.

Fuck. I missed the pre-sale for the two cities I want to go to.
Are regular sale tickets good? Like is it possible to get front section floor seats through the regular sale? Or are those taken up from pre-sales. So pissed. I got an email for the first two rounds of pre-sales but not for mine!

I mean, why is Adele already back past her? What is selling Adele's CD at this point? Crazy. Please name me one artist in the past one year who has not been passed by Adele after their release dates yet. Heck, some are even blocked from no.1 by her. Your continuous concern of how this era will/might fail is... nice, but using a rare phenom sales to justify that is just plain silly, tbh.

^^ IMO, I don't think either would song good singing most of the other gal's catalogue. While both gals' vocals are powerful and great storytellers, Adele's vocal range is far too limited to work well with Carrie's rangier songs. I also do not think Adele could keep up with Carrie's uptempo songs. Similarly, I feel that Carrie's tone would not sound good on Adele's more bluesy, soulful songs. Pretty good assessment. I think I agree. I'm a big Rob Thomas fan so I guess that I gravitate towards singers that have the tone that I like versus a huge range so I do currently favor Adele out of the current group of women stars but that is really a very personal thing. Most people I think like those high notes.

f**k. I missed the pre-sale for the two cities I want to go to. Are regular sale tickets good? Like is it possible to get front section floor seats through the regular sale? Or are those taken up from pre-sales. So pissed. I got an email for the first two rounds of pre-sales but not for mine! I didn't get an email either, and I'm a little angry myself. There were no good seats open when I found out that pre-sales were open yesterday. I'm assuming they probably saved some good seats on the floor close to the stage for the non-fanclub members that will buy tickets during the public sale that opens today.
