''Sober'' is such a masterpiece- but it makes me cry so it's hard to listen to, there's so much pain in it- it's beautiful but at the same time, the saddest song in the world. I just know one day it will be recognized for the great achievement it is as a song.

I couldn't agree more. I think that's what the critic meant when he said MD wasn't easy to listen to but worth it for the beauty found within it. many of the songs bring up feelings that aren't the most upbeat.

That just goes to show that music is subjective. I find that song dreary and repetative.

Except the tone of her voice - that is the only reason that I would listen to that song. She has such a lovely tone to her voice.

This short but sweet clip of Walk Away at the Niagara Falls concert, was posted at the Express.
Best ending to that song ever!

Amazing ,sober, she went all out. For the people who said kelly has lost her voice than these video will prove her vocal brilliance.

She did a great UTTM on the Niagra Falls to that must of been a great night.

Lastly how much do her tickets cost

I was at both the Verona (Turning Stone) concert and the Niagara Falls concert and she was amazing vocally at both. I was in the front row, literally directly in front of her at the Verona concert and when she sang "Sober" it as awesome. I thought it was one of the best "Sober" performances she had ever given.

I paid $42 for mine at DAR in Washington- and I was near the back of the venue.. but the back of the venue in these smaller venues isn't bad at all- DAR was only like two times the size of my high school auditorium.

On Ryan Tedder's myspace, he posted that he is currently working with/for Kelly. This was posted today by autobiografy at the KCE, I thought I would bring it over here for discussion....

"Ryan Tedder is a lead singer of OneRepublic and also writer/producer.

He co-wrote/produced: Bleeding Love, Do it well, Love like this, He said She said, Break Anotha

CURRENT WRITING AND PRODUCTION PROJECTS: Esmee Denters, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Cornell, NLT, Paula Deanda, Leona Lewis' U.S. release & Jennifer Hudson.

That sounds awesome. Ryan is a pretty good writer. I'm really interested to see what they come up with.

lavenderstripes posted high quality video's of Reba and Kelly's Crossroads. They're really great. You can find the downloads here...

I love when Kelly duets with people. She's great at it!!
There's a HQ version of "The Greatest Man I Never Knew" amongst Lav's videos. Here's a low quality youtube of it. It's beautiful.

Well hopefully that means her album won't be country-pop and will only have a few songs (or none :D) with country elements because I really don't think that is how she should get her album sales and radio play back.

Why should she be concerned with album sales and radio play?

I wouldn't mind a country/pop album- bring it on for all I'm concerned.

Kelly can make anything her own.

Uh cause without out it she won't have a Label.

I hope her collabaration with Tedder is more successful than Tedder's work with Blake Lewis.

I love his collab with Blake. It's a great song.
What I hope though, is that she's only working with Tedder on a couple of songs. I'm hoping we'll see some country/rock/blues songs that Kelly has been excited about on this new record. Whatever she does, it will probably be a mixture of genre's like all the rest of her albums. *fingers crossed*

Sure she could..or go Independant. BUT at some point you gotta sell Records or you won't have a career.

I feel like Kelly aspires to be like a Patty Griffin or one of those other acts that people often see at festivals like south by southwest or Austin City Limits - acts that have loyal fanbases and sell a decent enough amount of albums to make it a living, but they arent blockbusters and arent pressured to sing stuff they dont like/sing stuff that they feel fits who they are in order to stay commercial. I understand thats easier said than done and that AI isnt a great way to get to that place, but I feel based on previous interviews that such an act represents the ideal for Kelly.

That's the feeling I get from her interviews as well. I wouldn't be surprised that once she's fulfilled her contract with RCA, that she will end up going that route.

I think this is the last performance of "Since U Been Gone" where I can remember her doing the high note perfectly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ITm9E0hg94&NR=1

What happened? :(

I liked that performance, Reba is so funny with her dancing. I was actually a little surprised at how good Kelly sounded considering it was only a couple of days after her daytona performance.

I'd love for her to do a "Stripped" type album as far as genre hopping goes, except switching out Urban for Country/blues of course. I think that would be cool.... some Pop-rock, R&B/soul, classic rock vibed songs, bluesy type things... it'd be great.
