Some of these artists are not exactly one-hit wonders. 36. Inner Circle followed their 1987 hit "Bad Boys" (whcih didn't become a hit in the U.S. until 1993) with "Sweat (A-La-La-La-La-Long)", which reached number 16 on the Hot 100. It was a bigger hit in the U.K., reaching #3. 20. Marky followed his "Good Vibrations" with "Wildside", which reached #10 on the Hot 100. 16. Kris Kross is as far from a one-hit wonder as Alpha Centauri is from the Sun. After going #1 on the Hot 100 and R&B charts in 1992 with "Jump", they followed it up with "Warm It Up" (13, 3). They came back in 1993 with "Alright", featuring Super Cat (19, 8). In 1996 came the hit "Tonite's The Night" (12, 6). All 4 hits went gold. "Jump" went double-platinum. They do not belong on this list. Period. QED. Too bad some people have incredibly short memories on that network. 7. If I'm not mistaken, Vanilla Ice went to #4 with a rap remake of "Play That Funky Music". 1. "Baby Got Back' might have been Mix-a-Lot's only pop hit, but if I'm not mistaken, the album Mack Daddy, and the 2 albums that came before it, all went platinum.

Craig Mack's Get Down hit the Top 40 and went gold. He does not qualify for this.
Whoomp! There it is actually deserves to be in the Top 5 on this. If we are going by chart runs it deserves to be #1.

I think it's safe to say this was not intended to be a scientific list, but rather a list of artists who are primarily remembered for only one song. Also, Baby Got Back is one of the worst songs of all time in my opinion.

^Yes- it was the dame deal with the 80s special. There were acts who had other, smaller hits who appeared on the list.

These lists only consider success on the Hot 100, for some inane reason they don't take in to account some songs not being pop and their acts having more success at their actual core radio formats.

Wow I forgot about Belly. Shouldn't Merril Bainbridge be in that list?

Wow I forgot about Belly. Shouldn't Merril Bainbridge be in that list? I hated these three songs, but I'm surprised they're not there (unless these groups had many more hits than I'm aware of): White Town "Your Woman," OMC "How Bizarre," The Cardigans "Lovefool."

"My Favourite Game" was marginally popular because of the video, but the Cardigans would be considered a one hit wonder here too (though not in Europe).
I'm also surprised Dee-Lite and Eiffel 65 were left off the list too.

I would definitely say that Dee-Lite's "Groove Is In The Heart" was more iconic than 80% of those songs in that list. They should DEFINITELY be in there. I mean honestly, who even remembered Belly? I forgot all about Feed The Tree until I saw this list, and the song wasn't even a big pop hit, I remember it being played on alternative stations. In that regard, you could say Radiohead are one hit wonders because Creep is the only song most people seem to remember by them and none of their other singles made much of an impact on the chart.

27- Achy Breaky Heart [Billy Ray Cyrus] Ok, I'm having a Seriosly big problem with this, Billy has more then one hit on his hands "Could've Been Me" peaked @ #2 in 1992 "She's Not Cryin' Anymore" Peaked @ #6 1993 "In the Heart of a Woman" Peaked @ #3 1993 "Somebody New" Peaked @ #9 1993 "Busy Man" Peaked @ #3 1998 "Ready, Set, Don't Go" Peaked @ #4 In 2007 So how in the Heck is this guy a one hit wonder, Vh1 is full of B.S.

Those are all peaks on the Country chart, though, right? Not saying they shouldn't count, but the world at large probably only knows Achy Breaky Heart.

What about Sophie B Hawkins? That was a GREAT song. I think she was a legit two-hit wonder. Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover and As I Lay Me Down were both pretty huge. Didn't they do a 2-hit wonder list awhile ago too? I wonder if she was on it.

Yeah Sophia definitely had two memorable hits... I still here AILMD on AC stations and DIWIWYL was the song that put her on the map to begin with.
Now how about Donna Lewis? She had one big hit "I Love You Always Forever" - and she followed it up with the great "I Could Be The One" but I don't think that charted very high?

He only reached top 40 twice, with Achy Breaky Heart and then with Ready Set Don't Go a ton of YEARS later, and I don't that was really big to shake his "one-hit-wonder" status.

Weren't the Eurythmics called one-hit wonders by VH1 at one point even though "Here Comes the Rain" went #1 on the Hot 100 after "Sweet Dreams" the same year lol?

Well that's just ridiculous then... the Eurythmics are hardly a one hit wonder group. Why would VH1 put them on that list?? Idiots...

I'm also surprised Dee-Lite and Eiffel 65 were left off the list too. Actually, Blue (Da Ba Dee) was a hit in 2000 in the US. 1999 in Europe.

Timing doesn't make a difference. LEN's "Steal My Sunshine" was big in 2000 too.

But it reached Top 40 in September 1999, pretty much the same time when Blue (Da Ba Dee) was released in the US. Steal My Sunshine peaked at No. 9 in December and Blue at No. 6 in January 2000.
So I think that was the reason why Len are there and Eiffel 65 are not.

It's weird for me seeing Canadian acts like Snow or Crash Test Dummies in the 'one-hit-wonder' category because in Canada, they've had multiple hit singles. But I understand this list is based on the popularity in the US.
