The main thing to keep in mind each week as we look at the accomplishments of todays artists and wonder if that is some sort of record.

This chart has been around a while and most combinations of events of happened at least once before.

I'm pretty sure T-Pain and Akon did it multiple times. Collaborations work wonders, you know.

Although it's probably rarer with two main artists.

hmm...I know the last time an artist held both the No. 1 and No. 2 positions in the same week was Mariah with WBT and SIO...but idk who was the last to have two anywhere within the Top 5 :-/

I think you're wrong. I'm pretty sure Akon had a #1 and #2 single on the Hot 100 at some point with "I Wanna Love You" and "Smack That."
