We didn't know about the adds date for the other thread, and I don't recall seeing the adds date there before.  I listened to an album sampler and this was the ONLY song that I liked. I'd be glad to see it become a hit because to me the rest of the album is garbage. After this, they REALLY need to break Demi on radio. I prefer her over Selena by far. |

Yes! She definitely deserves it. Finally HR does something right!
I was just on All Access 9 hours ago (literally at 3 in the morning) & an adds date hadn't been set yet. It must have been added a few hours ago.
This has the potential to blow up.

Hollywood gave Selena an adds date?!?! This is HUGE for her! I'm glad. Although I think Demi's "Here We Go Again" was better and much more deserving, it's a step for everyone not named Miley, Jonas or Jesse.

This is actually very catchy and radio-friendly though, will be interesting to see if radio jumps on it. I can see it going top 15/10 easily if radio gives it a chance, don't see it being as big as SYA though.

But I can't help but LOL @ the fact that Selena is getting an adds date and they never even gave Demi one though she had a #1 album. Then again HR is known for playing favorites...

^AHAHA Demi was really screwed. But to be honest, they didn't need her back then, now that Jonas Brothers are broken up (or at least doing other activites/people ;) ), they are in desperate need of a hot new act, especially if Mileys next record is more mature sounding and more personal, which usually flops (see "Never Again"/"My December", "Russian Roulette")

Its just not a strong enough tune for CHR. Her voice has no uniqueness to it and its still sounding too juvenile. This reminds me of when Miley had her surprise crossover with 'See You Again' and made her a full fledged radio star. That track was able to find audiences on both sides of the spectrum. This is just still too much on the Disney side and will probably fail at CHR.

Well Selena's album sold pretty stellar over the holiday's. Much more than what HR expected. She's closing in on Demi's album sales for HWGA & Demi opened with almost double the #'s & definitely double the hype. Not to mention "Naturally" is PERFECT for radio. It's download sales must have helped in the decision as well. Here's hoping radio does catch on. Honestly Demi probably wasn't going to do anything. Shes just another pop/rocker and I think Selena and Miley are safer. I agree. I like Demi & obviously she has a better voice than Selena, but I didn't see her doing well either. Though they should have tried regardless. |
