All three performances were great. Yeah, they weren't perfect, but what would expect from a 40 something singer in the industry non-stop? Bottom point, she's still a great singer. The power and clarity she lost in her voice she makes it up with better expression and phrasing.

I know they peaked higher than 16, but I was more curious how they performed around this point in their runs. I just vaguely remembered "Touch My Body" having a difficult time once it hit the top twenty, and then after a while it continued to receive insanely high gains.
I just found it rather remarkable that this song had received steadier updates around that same point in time.
The second performance of "#Beautiful" was a lot better.
I still think people are being overly hard on her, given how well she did "We Belong Together" and "Always Be My Baby."
There wasn't a second performance. It was only one performance, apparently it was dubbed for the West coast. Watch the clip on Perez Hilton s site.
Oh, I feel silly. I don't know why I thought she was going to re-perform the song.
One thing I did appreciate even more after the "#Beautiful" performance is just how many textures of her voice Mariah uses in the song. The whistling, softer yet still full vocals, and the more straight-forward parts ("I like when you run red lights" part) were even more evident to me. Hearing it on record makes the transitions seem deceptively effortless, but it's probably not the easiest for Mariah to sing live. I'm just glad her studio voice is still very reliable.
We're at 8 non-Az players. So not enough to sustain his game as expected. However, if we have one more then I can host two separate vengeful 5-P games~ That would be good. Krhazy possibly?

I think the song has already outperformed most of our expectations, and I think it's now being referred to as Mariah's comeback single post-Memoirs.
Regarding "#Beautiful" and how it's doing at CHR- is this actually having a better run at this point than "Touch My Body" or "Obsessed?" Though "Touch My Body" got off to a terrific start, didn't the song nearly stall around the top twenty or so? Taking that into consideration, I think this song's steady performance thus far is even more impressive.

I'm all for people donating to cancer research, but that song is NOT good.
It's not great, but it's far, far better than "Scream & Shout" or "#thatPOWER," which are two of the stupidest songs I've ever heard in my life. It's like 12-year-olds wrote the lyrics for those.

Seriously, they're releasing another album already? I'd heard enough indie/hipster crap from these guys last year when "Tongue Tied" was overplayed like hell, not to mention "Colours" and "Itchin' on a Photograph" pretty much sucked as well. I hope this struggles.

Another problem with the Alternative format is that the stations don't want to let go of older songs that are in the Top 10. I've noticed that on Active, once a song peaks near the top, it then bleeds spins like crazy. On Alternative, however, once a song peaks near the top, it'll drop a few spots, and it'll stay there for the next 10 weeks, making the Top 10 rather stagnant. No wonder it takes so long for songs to go recurrent on this format, and for newer songs to make any moves.
Mariah would tower over him, so I think she was sitting for his benefit.
I agree. I thought Miguel sounded bad too.
I had never seen that and yes it had some bad vocals and some good but what made that performance better was.....
She seemed far less nervous and comfortable! She didn't seem to be self involved with the way she looked, like she does now (now she is consistantly looking at herself in the monitors and what not and looks uncomfortable)
That performance of Heartbreaker wasnt amazing but it wasnt uncomfortable and laughable to watch, the way the original LIVE broadcast version of #beautiful was yesterday.
This song needs to be number one, its amazing. So i hope she doesn't do anymore performances of it. Thankfully the press seems to have caught on to her "wardrobe malfunction" more so than the quality of the performance.

I'm gonna agree with pretty much everyone here and say that this is not Top 10 material. There's nothing special about this whatsoever, although it's better than "Yeah Yeah Yeah".

While this isn't the worst #1, I really think there are better songs on the chart that deserve the position. I'm hoping it doesn't stay at the top for too long.
Oh if he doens't have a D1 vote I'm ok with giving him Gangnam Style for D1 and whatever the second song was for D2. Especially since he only missed it by a bit the first day.
