I love this album and her <3 definitely nothing serious. But her version of Stay is absolutely beautiful.

Here's the "Want U Back" video. I'm guessing from the inclusion of Astro and heavy product placement that this is the first US single. In the meantime it's scheduled for February 27 in the UK.

LOL at the rapper. Not a big fan of the video, but this is the ideal song to push her in the US. This or WYL, but this was my favourite from her album.

The US release for "Sticks + Stones" is slated for September 18. She recorded a new track called "Over and Out" that will most likely make the US version of the album.
She recently performed a few songs for AOL Sessions:

Cher Lloyd's 'Sticks + Stones' album gets U.S. release date and new songs The X Factor July 24, 2012 By: Carla Hay"Sticks + Stones," the debut album of former "X Factor" U.K. finalist Cher Lloyd, now has a U.S. release date: September 18, 2012. Epic Records made the announcement about the release date, as well as revealing that U.S. release of the album will have previously unreleased songs. "Sticks and Stones" was released in November 2011 in the U.K., where it was a No. 4 hit. As previously reported, Lloyd is scheduled to make her U.S. national TV debut on NBC's "America's Got Talent" on July 25, 2012. It is also the same day that pre-orders begin on CherLloyd.com and iTunes for the U.S. release of "Sticks + Stones." Lloyd has broken through in America with her first U.S. single, "Want U Back," which has become a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and a Top 5 hit on the iTunes (U.S.) Top 100 songs chart. Lloyd will perform "Want U Back" on "America's Got Talent." "America's Got Talent" is executive produced by Simon Cowell, who is also an executive producer of "The X Factor." Lloyd is signed to Syco Music, the record label co-owned by Cowell and Sony Music. Syco has partnered with Epic Records (another Sony Music label) to release Lloyd's music in the U.S. Lloyd commented about the U.S. release of "Sticks and Stones" in this statement: "It's like a jukebox! Lots of different sounds and no two songs sound the same. I've put a lot into the album and I can't wait for everyone to hear the songs in full. It's exciting to know that my fans in the U.S. are as passionate as my U.K. fans. This means so much to me and I want to make them love all of my songs as much my first single. With the USA, I'm not going to run before I can walk." Lloyd has become the second "X Factor" act to have a Top 40 hit on Billboard's Hot 100 in 2012. One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" peaked at No. 4 in March 2012. Lloyd came in fourth place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010. One Direction came in third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010. They are both signed to Syco Music/Sony Music, the record label that is co-owned by "The X Factor" executive producer Simon Cowell and Sony Music. Syco has partnered with Epic Records (another Sony Music label) to release Lloyd's music in the U.S. As previously reported, Lloyd recorded a new version of "Want U Back" with Snoop Dogg, and Epic Records has confirmed that version is will be on the U.S. version of "Sticks + Stones." However, the titles of the other previously released songs have not been announced yet. Epic Records is planning a big U.S. launch for Lloyd's debut album, "Sticks + Stones," including media showcases and a U.S. concert tour for Lloyd in 2012. (The tour dates are to be announced.) In the U.K., "Want U Back" peaked at No. 25. "Sticks + Stones has also yielded the hit singles "Swagger Jagger" (No. 1 in the U.K.) and "With Ur Love" (featuring Mike Posner), which reached No. 4 in the U.K. Lloyd completed a headlining U.K. tour in April 2012. She made her U.S. concert debut with three showcases at the 2012 South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival in Austin, Texas. As previously reported, Lloyd is doing her first tour of Australia and New Zealand, as the opening act for rock band Hot Chelle Rae. In July 2012, she performed a select number of shows in England, including the Wireless Fest in London on July 8; Perez Hilton's One Night in London on July 13; and GuilFest in Guildford, England, on July 14. Epic Records also announced in a press release: "In addition to the anticipated debut of 'Sticks + Stones,' Cher is thrilling her ever-growing multitudes American "Brats" (aka fans!) thanks her digital campaign: 'America Wants Cher Lloyd Back West Coast Edition,' a specially designed Brat bus, will be heading to Phoenix, Tucson, San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, and San Jose. #It'sAnEpicBratAttack! Cher was mobbed by rabid fans the first round of her 'America Wants Cher Lloyd Back' campaign, and she can hardly wait to meet even more of her beloved Brats!"

Why would they put out a big press release and all for the album, just to change the release date a week later. So messy Epic A couple weeks later date would only help though.

Sticks + Stones is due to be released in Australia on October 5, as a new version "featuring brand new unreleased tracks and surprise guests". I wonder if that could be the same as the U.S. edition?

"Sticks & Stones" is available for pre-order on US iTunes. The tracklisting is the same, but "Over the Moon" is omitted, and a new track, "Behind the Music," was added. "With Ur Love" (sans Mike Posner) is available on iTunes too, as well as an iTunes bonus track, "RIOT!"

Wish they'd used the original cover. I prefer Sticks & Stones to Sticks + Stones, though.

Happy release day! Loving the album. She was on Ellen and Leno yesterday, and she has some other TV appearances this week too.
Can't find a video of Leno but it was great!

AMG gives the album 3 stars (the review was done when the album was released in the UK, but I doubt the inclusion of the two new tracks would change anything):
EW gives the album a B:

Here's her performance from Dancing With the Stars tonight, AMAZING! Best performance of Want U Back so far IMO, I love the production. I'm kinda surprised at the amount of TV promo she has this week! Also, I have to say that she's been looking amazing for all of the US promo. Also here is her Leno performance from last night. They usually don't do the "I thought you'd still be mine" part do they? For some reason I wasn't expecting it hah. Powered by VideoBam - Free Video Hosting

HITS for next week's chart:
MUMFORD AND MUSE LEAD THE WAY
Mumfords Dominate as WB’s Muse Will be Top Debut
October 3, 2012
Mumford & Sons’ Glassnote album Babel will continue its historic run with a second week at #1 after selling 600k in its first week, a whopping 70% (420k) of them digitally.
That places it second to only Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, which sold 662k digital downloads back in May 2011, though 460k of those were Amazon MP3 downloads at 99 cents apiece.
The week’s top debut will be Warner Bros. U.K. rockers Muse’s The 2nd Law, which should do between 110-120k, based on first-day sales reports from those retailers not busy stocking up on iPhone 5s.
Grammy-nominated RCA R&B/hip hop hybrid Miguel’s sophomore album, Kaleidoscope Dream, the follow-up to his acclaimed debut, 2010’s All I Want Is You, should do between 55-60k.
Veteran RCA Canadian rock band Three Days Grace’s Transit of Venus, their fourth studio album overall, looks to be in the 50-55k target range, on the heels of their #1 Active Rock smash, “Chalk Outline.”
Another from the North Country, multi-Grammy winning Verve jazz pianist Diana Krall returns with Glad Rag Doll, her eleventh studio album, a T Bone Burnett-produced selection of standards “as imagined for the 21st century,” which should do in the 45-50k range.
Syco/Columbia America’s Got Talent finalist Jackie Evancho has her third studio album coming, Songs from the Silver Screen, a selection of movie-related songs, which debuts with 35-40k.
Syco/Epic X Factor UK Top 4 finisher Cher Lloyd’s Sticks & Stones, fueled by the platinum single, “Want U Back,” will do between 30-35k, a tribute to her loyal gang of followers, dubbed “Brats.”
Veteran platinum Eleven Seven punk-rockers Papa Roach’s The Connection, the eighth studio recording in their 15-year career, should get off to a start of 18-21k
Atlantic teen pop star Cody Simpson’s debut album, Paradise, will debut with 15-18k.
Legacy’s new Heart album, Fanatic, will have first-week sales of between 14-17k.

That's not bad is it? Top 10, she's a new artist to the US and has only had one hit so far. Hopefully Oath does well so the album has longevity!
