I'm not entirely disagreeing, but I'd like to know why people are assuming this will flop simply because it's not that different a single for her to release, especially when she's just had one of her biggest hits. it's no #1, but come on... the chances of it completely failing are incredibly slim. Putting it up against records that we haven't even heard yet/have no adds date is a bit ridiculous as well.

Great song with a killer hook. It will do very well. Deff top 5. But lot of competition coming up. We will see. I don't see how distorting the word 'blow' over and over constitutes a 'killer hook.' I enjoy this but it's not a single.

Loving the single choices thus far. Hopefully this will do well enough so that Sleazy gets a Spring release (still hoping for a Nicki Minaj remix of it).

They really should get it out there. I feel like WRWWR was released like, last year or somethin. Well, technically, it was lol.

I just think her party girl image is getting old, and it has proven in the past that if you release too many songs that are similar to each other, people will start to get tired. The lackluster sales of Cannibal thus far kind of prove that point. And since there are a slew of new releases coming out within the next few months, no one is going to be interested in a Ke$ha track that's the exact same thing as most of her other singles. I don't think anyone is calling for a full out flop, just to underperform compared to her past singles.

I can see both sides. I literally only listen to her when getting ready for a night out so the party girl thing doesn't bother me, but she definitely needs to do something a bit different with her next single.
That's why I like "The Harold Song". It's got the whole tears of a clown, after the party's over I'm so lonely blah blah thing going on that keeps her image up, but is something a bit different and could ease her into a new sound.

This probably will be her lowest charting single. There's nothing new here. Why can't she release a ballad?

How can you people think this is going to flop when it went TOP 80 DURING THE HOLIDAY FREEZE BEFORE IT WAS EVEN ANNOUNCED AS A SINGLE!!!!!! It wasn't even a rumored single. Radio obviously loves this, so it's NOT going to flop.

Radio obviously loves this, so it's NOT going to flop. At the moment, radio wants new Ke$ha, as "We R Who We R" is starting to get old, and there's not much other new music. In a month or two with new GaGa, Avril, Britney, etc, and who knows, we might get some Beyoncé or something too, this will just get lost in the shuffle. Right now, radio are trying to hunt out new music to play, but in a few months, they'd rather play big "comeback" singles, rather than a Ke$ha song that sounds like her 5 previous singles. It won't be a "You Lost Me" type flop, most likely not even a "Not Myself Tonight" flop, but it still will be a flop compared to her past work's charting. I expect it to rush up the chart now that it's announced, and maybe make around #20/#25, before some stations decide to dump it out of high rotation in favor for all the other new music. Then, I suspect it will climb to around say #12 at a moderately slow speed, then start falling, slowly at first, but then be gone relatively soon. Make sense?

I like this song a lot but not sure it'll do well as a single.

it'll do fine. People are acting like this is her last single and then she'll be dropped from her label.

This is so infectious! I don't see why people are acting like it's a bad choice. It's a GREAT choice. It's in the same vein as her other singles (all of which have been big-moderate hits), but a bit different. Personally I love this

This is the best choice as the 2nd single. In a perfect world, The Harold Song will be the 3rd, Cannibal the 4th and Grow A Pear the 5th. They need to release as many singles as possible to push the EP to platinum status.

Did anyone think that maybe because of the iTunes 'Countdown to Cannibal', the potential sales of the EP decreased? People would of picked at the remaining tracks like scabs instead of buying the whole thing. I mean, 3/9 promo singles + 'WRWWR' already out which = 4/9 tracks available before the EP was out?! That is almost half already. A majority of people may already have 'Blow' considering this. Not a good single choice if the label want a smash.

But if they bought the songs, wouldn't they be able to buy the rest of the E.P for a cheaper price? (the cost of the songs would've been taken away?) Or is that only for albums?

Do you recieve RMG sheets with future singles, adds dates, and TV promo dates? Are you part of the board of stations like KKHH & KHKS that added "Blow" and do you know if RCA didn't contact them weeks before, told them this would be the next single, and asked them to spin and test it? Just because a song doesn't appear in public adds dates lists doesn't mean it doesn't already have a planned adds date and doesn't mean stations weren't already contacted regarding it. I find it hard to believe that 2 top 10 stations chose to play this specific song, and not another song from Cannibal, just because they wanted to. ;)

I like this and I think it will do well but honestly it's the most uninteresting song on the EP. I think The Harold Song, Sleazy, Cannibal, Crazy Beautiful Life or Grow a Pear would have been much better single choices

I was hoping the record company woulda been adventurous & release "Sleazy'. But, it looks like they're looking for a quick hit, instead of seeing what else will work for her, instead of electro pop. I hope 'Sleazy' will be her next single
