I hope we get to hear her version of The Way one day. It'd be interesting to hear that song without all the Mariah influence.

Jordin seems to be no longer listed on the RCA site. . if so hopefully she has another label deal lined up. she is too talented to not release music. www.rcarecords.com/artists

I do hope she can find another major label; some people are better suited for the indie route but I don't think she's one of those artists.

New Politics? "Harlem" did fairly well along with "Tonight You're Perfect". And the album did pretty well with hardly any promotion.

For once in my life, I can understand the lyrics to 'The Way' when Jordin sings it...

F***in' RCA.
I hope she gets a label that'll promote her. Especially with the slow death of physical albums, if she can still get hit singles, I think she could be lucrative. Either way, I'll be buying whatever she puts out regardless of the success.

Jordin should just focus on acting or do some broadway. She doesnt really have the personality for mainstream music.

This is a complete shame . Her first album era couldn't have went much better . Her second album didn't have the greatest sales but it still got her a hit single . One single underperformed and bam they stopped caring about her .

looks like Jordin is working with Salam Remi again. there are some Jordin fans who are speculating she is signed to his Louder Than Life label which is under Sony.

Ye, Leona moved to Island Records (hence why she was deleted), so I hope Jordin has found a good label to support her. I really love Jordin's snippet of "The Way", more so than Ariana's version. Hope we'll get Jordin's full version in the future.

She and Jason split. I expect some great music from her now.

Does she have a new label? Apparently, she is signed to Salaam Remi's label "Louder than Life" which is under the Sony umbrella (not confirmed).

It always baffled/saddened me that Jordin never found major success. I was listening to "Battlefield" yesterday, and it's still Pop perfection.
Rooting for ya, Jordin.

I think she and Phillip Phillips are pretty equal as far as Idol careers go. Of course, "Battlefield" was bigger than anything off his second album.
I always wondered why they didn't push her in a similar direction as Demi Lovato. Not a huge star, but regular success/hit singles.

I always wondered why they didn't push her in a similar direction as Demi Lovato. Not a huge star, but regular success/hit singles. She was still under Jive with the second era right?. That was towards the end of its existence so in retrospect they probably just ran out of money which is why they didn't bother trying to recover from SOS. Then she was transferred to RCA which already had its set of "priority" artists...other than pink I can't think of any pop act on Jive that got any real support after moving to RCA. It's unfortunate. I'm looking forward to the new music! I like the song she did with Salaam for his album and musically his sound is a great direction for her, imo. That said if she is signed to his label we may need to brace ourselves for some very "indie" level sales and singles performance. I would love to be wrong but I can't and won't get my hopes up other than for the quality of the music.

My only 'advice' would be to really find a sound that showcases her voice and vocal range without trying to be too edgy. She's one of the only wholesome girls left in the industry.

I think Jordin is more successful than Phillip ^2. Her first era was much bigger than PP's. No Air was pretty big, and Tatoo and One step at a time were both top 10 pop hits. Then Battlefield reached top 10 pop and hot 100. She was in great shape and then the whole SOS fiasco happened. Label flew outta window. Second mistake because her debut album deserved one more single -she had two potential hits left still! Anyway. Hope she can come back!
I'm sad about her split :(( They were engaged, right? They seemed quite in love.

Louder Than Life is Salaam Remi's imprint.

Louder Than Life is Salaam Remi's imprint. Jordin had worked with him in the past on The Sparkle Soundtrack.

It's so sad that her and Jason split because they seemed to be really in love.. but maybe now she can quit standing in the shadow of her success and putting her career on hold and actually break out and get back to doing well.
