Both of these women have the best voices in the industry, IMO. Who do you believe has the better voice?

Adele DOES remind me alot of Christina, much like Duffy reminded me alot like Britney when she first started out. Adele has much better control of her voice than Christina does, so she wins.

LOL.
Pretty tough comparison tbh. When Christina's on, she's better and I prefer her voice anyway so I'll go with her. But Adele is a lot more consistent and pleasant sounding. Neither can hold a candle to Kelly though. LEGEND. :'(

I don't think they are directly comparable. Christina has a lot of power, but she uses that power way too much when she sings. Adele I think has more control over her voice. She doesn't over sing and her voice is great live.
If we were comparing their album voice I'd say it's a tie, but from a live vocal point of view I give it to Adele for having a more "soothing" voice.

Adele.
Screaming and ad-lib nonsense isn't singing.

This was extremely hard for me. While I enjoy both their music equally, Adele is the more conistsant live, so I go for her.

Right now, Adele trumps Christina. She has more control, a superior tone, and far more consistency.

Tone: Adele by a large margin. Adele and Kelly Clarkson have the best tones among mainstream gals. Both gals' vocals purely and consistently emanate from chest in chest voice and from head in head voice. In a moderate high/higher register, Christina's "chest voice" emanate from her throat instead of chest. Her head voice tone is nice though. Regardless, Christina's tone is her biggest vocal flaw, IMO.
Power: Christina by a small-moderate margin. I feel Christina and Jennifer Hudson have the most powerful vocals in the business.
Range: Christina by a moderate margin. Christina's lower register is MUCH stronger than Adele's and is probably the strongest among her contemporaries. Adele has an EXTREMELY limited range as she barely enters the 5th octave and rarely can delve below the middle 3rd octave. That being said, Christina's upper register range in chest voice has been receding with age. Christina has a much higher head voice than Adele.
Soul/Emotion: Adele by a small margin. Adele and Kelly Clarkson have probably the most soulful and emotional voices among mainstream voices. Both have this simply stunning quality to all of their vocals.
Consistency/Clarity: Adele by a moderate margin. Adele is a gritty voice (in a good way) and is one the most consistent live vocalists. Christina is only moderately consistent; however, her performances in the past 12 months have been declining in consistency........
Versatility: Christina by a HUGE margin. Probably (along with range) is Adele's biggest vocal flaw. Adele is a masterclass at what she does: slower uptempos and ballads, giving a gritty soulful, emotional experience as a storyteller in the vocals. That being said, outside of a R&B, Pop/AC sound, she has shown very little ability to sing songs out of her comfort zone. After Kelly Clarkson, Christina is probably the second most versatile female mainstream vocalist, since she has sang (well) just about every genre.
Winner: Christina by a very small margin. There are so many facets about Adele's voice that are superior to Christina's; however, Adele's limited versatility gives a very samey sound to many of her songs, IMO. With time, I predict that Adele will overtake Christina as the third best mainstream vocalist, IMO, after Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce....

Christina wins. She pisses me off by the way she sings and breathes but there's no denying her range is amazing.

Adele- that long-winded drawn out comparison doesn't really do much except say that Adele knows who she is as an artist and Christina has been genre-hopping for the last decade. A voice doesn't have to do every possible thing. I don't understand why versatility is so highly rated - it's not even a technical/formal quality.

I don't think either of them have the best voice in the industry, but I think Adele's is fantastic. I vote for her.

Adele's vocals sound like she's trying to imitate someone.
Christina sounds like Christina. So, she gets my vote.

Adele. I will almost never choose Christina over a competent vocalist at all.
