Lady GaGa’s explanations of her videos have almost become as wacky as the clips themselves. Indeed, the 25 year old is renown for serving up prolific break-down’s of her video offerings; something which makes her recent comments about her ‘Telephone’ clip somewhat surprising.

For, in a recent interview with Time Out, the Pop force slams the Jonas Akerlund helmed video. This, despite praising it upon its release in February last year.

“I can’t even watch the Telephone video, I hate it so much. Beyonce and I are great together.

But there are so many ideas in that video and all I see in that video is my brain throbbing with ideas and I wish I had edited myself a little bit more.

It’s funny, though, because I know a lot of kids on the forums didn’t like the Alejandro video, but that was my favourite of all my videos. It’s not busy. But maybe that’s my own monster.”

Speaking of ‘Telephone’ the song in a recent interview with Pop Justice, she says:

What’s your worst song?

I hate ‘Telephone’. Is that terrible to say? It’s the song I have the most difficult time listening to.

Because it was offered to Britney first?

Well that’s not exactly what happened, but I don’t want to delve into that. I could delve into it if you turn that (motions to recorder) off… But ultimately the mix and the process of getting the production finished was very stressful for me. So when I say it’s my worst song it has nothing to do with the song, just my emotional connection to it.

I remember Beyonce stating in interviews that she disliked Bootylicious around 2003-2004, when that was still sort of her signature song by then.

Britney doesn't dislike 'Sometimes'. She even said in a recent interview that she loves all of her past work. If you're basing this on her line from the Onyx Hotel Tour ("Wait, we forgot to do 'Sometimes'! Oh, well...I never liked that song!"), it was just a joke.

Yes. There's a funny story about this one from when she was on tour about 8 years ago. Fans from her fan club got together to approach her backstage at many of the tour dates and demand that she perform "Prisoner". After fans had approached her on several different dates asking it she finally told one fan that she hated the song when she recorded it and still hates it and is never performing it.

While Avril didn't outright say it, she was kind of sabotaging WTH in interviews on how the single doesn't reflect her material on the album. The reality is she wanted to release her album in 2009 without the Max Martin tracks which is why it was delayed until now.

I took that more as a disclaimer for those who didn't like WTH to buy the album cause "there's something for everyone".

It's snot the same as her saying she doesn't like it.

Oh, she hates it alright, and here's the reason -

"Because of bad experiences during its production and because she feels it "doesn't have a message," Carey stated in a MTV interview that she dislikes the song and tries to sing it as rarely as possible. Carey had lobbied to co-produce the song, but was denied permission by Columbia Records. She often fought with Walden in the studio concerning the song's production, and as a result Walden became her least favorite among the producers who worked on her debut album."

I think a similar thing happened with "Say Somethin'". It's one of the few songs in her catalog that she doesn't have production credits on. LA Reid had a hard-on for that song and tried to have it released 3 different times, and Mariah kept pushing for something else to be released. Also when she was promoting the album, she would call all the songs "favorites" but wouldn't say that about "Say Somethin'". She would talk about it from an angle other than her liking it, or she would say that some people like it but wouldn't say that she herself liked it.

Entirely made-over though. MG only appeared on RIT, and LAV on CT. On the other hand, she says her favourite songs of hers are Ray of Light and Live to Tell.

I don't think it's a big issue, or much of a surprise; especially with artists who have long careers. People change, their opinions change, they play certain songs to death etc.

John Lennon always hated a few of the songs he wrote for the Beatles. Songs like "Run For Your Life" on The Rubber Soul album, or "It's Only Love" on the original Help album.

He said in his last Playboy interview in 1980 that he never cared for either of those songs because they were simply done to "finish the album," and he never put much thought or effort into them.

DJ and Trance producer ATB said in one of his interview that he no longer stands by his hit "Don't Stop" and considers his worst production to date since it was very similar to his other hit "9PM (Till I come).

Now I do know I have some productions I really hate… the second release of ATB, which was “Don’t Stop”. The way I see it today is that it was just like my first release but with a new melody, and I don’t like the melody anymore. Heh, I'm not surprised with this since it's true. It is almost pretty much just an inferior, carbon copy of 9pm. I never liked it either.

Yeah, and she needed more time to focus on promoting "Only Girl".
