The announcement Robin Leach was talking about was this: SHANIA: Still The One [ENCORE]Shania is set to do twenty-one encore dates between September and October 2015. According to Robin Leach's article, the decision to do the encore run was discussed and made final shortly after Shania walked off stage on Saturday. I'm thinking since there is still no word on a Celine Dion return, the Colosseum sought Shania to fill the only empty dates of 2015. No word on whether or not she will tour or release an album before the encore Vegas run or not. She did say, "we will see you out on the road, soon" during the final night. Hopefully there will be new elements added to the show. This will at least give people like ant to see the show in Vegas if they have not done so already. Link to full articleI'm excited about the encore dates, though I'm not sure if I can make it to Vegas next Fall. I also hope this doesn't delay the release of her album or new music any further. :( Fans in the ST Fan communities brought up that it will be an entirely new show and she will add some different hits to the show. September is nine months away, which if Shania is not the iTunes surprise release artist by the end of 2014, she has those nine months to finish and release the album.

I believe the ITunes surprise was D'Angelo and it dropped last night. That's what it said on the news today, that he pulled this year's Beyoncé.

What is this "Icon" CD? Never heard anything about it...funny though that the date says December 20, 2020. Pretty far away lol (I'm sure it's some kind of error). And I can't wait for the Still The One DVD. Perhaps I'll get the Blu Ray.

It says 2020 as a release date for the Icon CD . Wouldn't this just have tracks that appear on Greatest Hits?

The Icon CD was part of the "Greatest Hits" re-release series issued by UMG. Several artists have these CD's out. (Reba, Billy Currington, George Strait, Trisha Yearwood). Here is a complete list of ICON CD's: www.universalmusicenterprises.com/icons/
What I've noticed with the series is that a first Icon CD contains eleven songs and then sometime down the line (usually a few years later) a second Icon CD Icon 2 will be issued with 11 more tracks split into two discs. Sometimes the Icon CDs don't always have the biggest hits, sometimes they include album cuts. Usually it is used as a cash maker for the label or another way for fans to get a new greatest hits compilation CD. I had originally pre-ordered it because my two copies of the original 2004 Greatest Hits are mostly beyond use due to being so overplayed. The collection has since been removed from Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Barnes and Noble but is still available on FYE and CD Universe. There was no confirmed track list. I am hoping if it does get released, they include "Today Is Your Day." I know a lot of people's opinions on the song vary but I really enjoy it. There was a re-released/repackaged "Greatest Hits" album in 2006 in the UK called "17 Biggest Hits." I just read about it in an old article, which explains why I had never heard of it before. It included "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" and "Ka-Ching" from the Up! era. It didn't include any of of the new releases from 2004's Greatest Hits.

What I'd really love to see them do is release a remastered version of The Woman in Me this year as a 20th Anniversary Edition (next month marks 20 years that the album came out), with a few bonus tracks such as live versions of some of the hits and perhaps the extended single version of "God Bless the Child". I doubt that'll happen, but it'd be pretty neat.

"It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" is a fine replacement for one of the then-new tracks on Greatest Hits- one of my favorites.

The only thing about her Vegas show I wish would have been different is that she should have sang her longest running #1 at 5 weeks "Love Gets me Everytime" instead of the song that never cracked the top 40 "I Ain't No Quitter." LGMET was such a jam back in the late 90s! I would have liked to see her do a bit of "Forever and For Always" in the campfire segment too, even if just the first verse and chorus.

I'm so excited for her next studio album! I really wish her and Mutt could put their differences aside and create another perfect country/pop album that will keep her 10-million streak alive. Realistically given her long break, if she could get a multi-platinum album that would be the equivalent of what she did in her prime. Wouldn't the world just s**t themselves if she came out w/ another Man... I Feel Like a Woman after being gone for over 10 years!

I've always said that it would be nice if her and Mutt could at least keep their professional career in tact for the sake of making great music. However, after reading her autobiography a couple of years ago, I just don't see that happening considering how badly he hurt/betrayed her.
