The show sold out very fast, and they put another out. That date then also sold out. Just tour, please.

I wonder if she still plans on recording and releasing a Christmas album before she comes out with a regular album? Do you guys think this would be a good idea? I could see a Christmas album giving her some buzz and selling decently, and it might be a good way to get her name back out there before she releases her standard album that we've all been waiting for.

Maybe... Canadian country pop singer Shania Twain is coming to Charlottetown this summer, The Guardian has learned. No one is dishing out details yet but the official announcement is expected to be made in the very near future at a press conference.

The current residency goes through the end of July- is that the end of the contract?

I have a good feeling that wonder if these tour dates will coincide with a new album.

She's gonna be presenting at the Billboard Awards again this Sunday. :)
Not sure if she's presenting an award, but I'd like to see her introduce Miranda & Carrie's duet.

Oh man. There are no words to describe the level of excitement I have for new Shania music.
I'm so glad she had the opportunity to do the Vegas stint. Seems to helped her mentality and her career. Can't wait to see her first week sales!

If 2015 means a Shania tour and a new CD I wish it'd hurry up and get here! I flew to Vegas just to see her show and if she isn't coming near NC on a tour I'll go as close as possible. I'm sure she'd do Atlanta or Nashville at least! This will be great!

She's been saying a new album is in the works for years now! I hope she means it when she says it's now a priority of hers.

I wonder who will be her producer for this album. I would love it if she writes a few "grown up" Taylor Swift-ish songs slamming Mutt! This will be a hell of an album!

Honestly, I'm hoping for an album more in line with The Woman In Me. More country-sounding with clever up-tempos and some beautiful ballads with deep/meaningful lyrics, except I expect it to be more personal this time around as Shania has said it will be.

I'd fully expect them to mix the album for both country and pop/international audiences. I think she has had way too much international success for them not to, at least the singles anyway.
I don't think we will get a "Mutt" slamming album. She's got too much class, plus in the wake of that she found new love. I imagine a heartbreaking ballad is the most we may see of that. I think (and hope) she'll focus more on the new chapter in her life.

She's a mature, adult woman and I don't expect her to pull a Taylor Swift and write an entire album based off of a relationship that went south.

I just want one Mutt-shaming song. Just one. But I'd settle for another It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing. I still fall in love with that song every time I hear it.

I was listening to some Shania on my way home from work today and I realized that if she does come out with a new album in 2015, it will also be 20 years since the release of The Woman In Me, which is probably my favorite Shania album so far, not to mention her breakthrough album. I wouldn't mind them re-releasing a re-mastered version of that album next year as a "Special 20th Anniversary Edition" along with her new album. Maybe add a few bonus tracks onto it as well, like the extended radio/single version of "God Bless the Child" and some new mixes or live recordings of some of the other big hits from the album.

Yes! Look for a DVD version of Shania Twain's Las Vegas show, Shania: Still The One, before the end of the year. Director Raj Kapoor told the Caesars Palace audience on July 22 that the night's performance was being shot for release this year, the Las Vegas Review Journal reported. It's also likely to become a TV special. Twain's two-year residency ends Dec. 13.

Exciting! I'm so glad I got to see the show in person before it ends this year. Now she just needs to release some new music. It has been far too long.

Hasn't Shania gone on record that she writes a lot of personal songs that never get recorded? If you look at her recordings - most songs are very general - she really keeps it close to the vest. However, I do recall she said last year that the songs she's written for the album are more vulnerable and emotional or something like that. I can't believe the songs were completed summer 2013 and she's still looking for a producer. Could she have been secretly recording this whole time and will drop a bomb for 4Q?

Awesome, so glad we're at least getting a live DVD.
Shania has said that she writes personal, depressing songs as therapy, but they aren't intended for the public (or anyone else, really) to hear. I forget where I read that, but I think it might have been in her book.
