I like it a lot. Hope it crosses over and opens pop up to heavier acts again. Also, can the title be changed to something along the lines of Evanescence - "What You Want"?

hmm doesn't really sound like they've grown since their last album. Hopes aren't really too high for their new album, unfortunately. *sigh* Yeah, this song sounds pretty much like I was expecting it to.

Sounds like typical Evanescence. Which is what people wanted, I guess. I don't mind it, but the album isn't going to be anything I am dying to listen to.

Ugh. This is so not who I thought the band was way back when Fallen came out. www.mtv.com/news/articles/1668798/evanescence-breaking-dawn-soundtrack.jhtmlVocally gunning for a slot on a Twilight soundtrack, especially after having been passed over previously for not being cool/indie enough? First of all, associating Evanescence and Twilight is too obvious and, because they're not indie rock, too juvenile a career move (in a pre-teen Hot Topic kind of way) for a band with their sound. Second of all, why would you embarrass yourselves by telling everyone you were already passed over before? Clearly the band was never as cool as I thought they were as was evident when I saw them live the week their album dropped and they padded their set with a cover of "Heart-Shaped Box," ("Zero" on subsequent tours) instead of, oh, I don't know, a Siouxsie and the Banshees tune. But come on, guys. You're better than this.

Meh. Not that big a deal to me. Good songs can come out of crappy movies.

At least they have the guts to admit that. I guess you were only in it for the trend. People change, music change, everything changes....maybe you should too.

I don't see the big deal in Evanescence wanting to cash in on the success of the Twilight series and genuinely liking it as well. You can separate the two if you want.
Question: How well do their songs usually do on this format?

I don't think it was pushed to rock radio. It was just mostly aimed for the pop/HAC/AC audience.

Not a fan of this.
But I wasn't a fan of "Call Me When You're Sober" either, but that turned out to be my favorite album of theirs.

Wasn't their some online archive that has the performance of every song ever on the Billboard Modern Rock/Alternative chart or something like that? I remember looking up bands on it. Anyone remember what that site is?

I could check Billboard, but they're not always reliable with archiving.

Billboard chart data by artist can be found at www.allmusic.com, but I don't know how complete it is. My immortal peaked at #45 on R&R alternative.

Not Billboard...I mean a dude literally put an archive together that you could search any band and all their modern rock entries would come up, not just with their peak, but their entire chart run and the dates and whatnot. Allmusic can't compete with that and Billboard can't unless I wanna pay a shitload of cash.

I wonder what sales they'll open with this time around. I'm gonna buy the record because they're just one of those childhood memories. Maybe all the other past/previous/current depressed teens will do the same.
