I'm sure no1curr, but this is my favorite pop album of the 2000s. Body Language is such a stylish and sexy album, and, most importantly, it doesn't feel forced at all. Kylie possesses effortless sex appeal that most pop stars actually lack, imho. That sex appeal shines through in her music and especially in this album. Her airy voice along with those great beats is just heavenly to me. While it didn't match the success of its predecessor, Fever, (which is also a great pop album) it did spawn a few hits, such as "Slow", "Red Blooded Woman" and "Chocolate."As usual, it went nowhere in the US.

This is probably my second favorite Kylie album. I never understood all of the sh*t she got for it. "Slow" and "Chocolate" are arguably her best singles IMO.

This is easily her best album. A real pleasant surprise after the dreadful Light Years and monotone Fever.

I was really disappointed with this one. I only liked Slow.

This is actually my favorite of her Parlophone albums.
'Secret (Take You Home)' is another goodie, it's a shame it was only released as a promo single. In Taiwan.

I love Kylie but this wasn't one of her best albums IMO. There are some great songs on this album like "Red Blooded Woman" and "Secret (Take You Home)", but overall I think she's had better.

Solid album - I was surprised that it under-performed.

"City Games" is one of the single best tracks of her career (Chocolate B-side for the uninformed).
The album is an artistic masterpiece though. It's so lush and soulful. It's in competition with her self-titled 1994 album and Hits+ for my favorite album from her.

This album has aged very well. Some of her sexiest, most spontaneous numbers on here - including the slinky "Obsession" and "Secret (Take You Home)" and the lithe, celebratory "Sweet Music". "Still Standing" and "Slow" have Prince influences.
Agree about the B-sides, too. "City Games" and "Cruise Control" are top notch. And "Slo Motion" (Aussie bonus track) is a nice slice of Fever-ish seduction. I hated "Almost a Lover" though.

Yeah, "Almost a Lover" is a miss. I'm not sure if I have "Slo Motion" but I do have all the other B-sides from buying the singles on import.
(I have a HUGE Kylie collection)

Yeah, I don't know how Someday or I Feel For You made the album but that was left off lol. It's a nice sonic companion to Loving Days.

I wish there were a place to download a HQ version of "Slo Motion." I would pay $$$$$$ for it, but I can't find it anywhere.

Fever is ranked higher for me because of nostalgia factor. It was my first Kylie album when I was 11 years old, and I listened to it so much, I knew all the words to every song.

Light Years had its moments, but I find it cringe-worthy due to the kitsch factor.

It's too hard for me to rank her albums. The best I can do:
God Tier: Fever Impossible Princess
Legend Tier: Body Language Aphrodite Kylie Minogue
Icon Tier: X Rhythm Of Love
The Rest: Light Years Let's Get To It Kylie Enjoy Yourself

My favorite part is when she slides down her secret agent fireman pole and comes out dressed for the evening at the bottom.
Speaking of videos though, as this is the BL thread, the "Chocolate" video was something magical.

IDK what was I rambling about 2 years ago. But I think I may rank Fever above this for her '00s albums. I really love them both, though.

ranking Kylie's albums would be nearly impossible, there's stuff to love about every one of them, so I'm not even gonna attempt that. I remember being horrified the first time I heard a snippet of "Slow" online - Fever was the album that made me a Kylie fan, so I was hoping/expecting more of the same style on the follow-up album...now, "Slow" EASILY ranks among my Top 20 favorite Kylie tunes. such a deliciously sexy track. <3 favorite tracks on BL = "Slow", "Red Blooded Woman", "Chocolate" (obvious picks, I know), "Secret (Take You Home)", "Sweet Music", "Slo Motion" "you'll never get to heaven if you're scared of getting hiiiiiigh..."
