Interesting that it has a Rhythmic release date and not a Mainstream one listed on AllAccess

Well it's under CNM for Mainstream, so I'm sure the adds date is soon to follow.

Gaga's first live performance of Marry the Night.
I believe it's in India.
sounds good to me.. I love to hear the songs in their stripped down version.

Just watched the clip...did not like it at all. Seems like this era she keeps playing these stripped down slow versions of her songs. To me, it just made this song boring. I didn't like when she did it with "Edge of Glory" and I don't like it here. It robs it of the excitement and crescendo of the song. Yes, she is talented and plays the piano very well, but it kinda feels like she keeps repeating this same shtick. After "You and I" I would like for her to pick up the pace again.

Maybe she wants to save the reg version for something else. who knows what the set list was like either.

It is weird that I still see people screaming about how all of her performances depend on "tricks, costumes, 100 dancers, special effects" etc, yet it does seem like a lot of her performances this era have been just her sitting at a piano singing. I love it, but it feels like it has been awhile since I have seen her give a truly uptempo "tricks, costumes, 100 dancers, special effects" filled performance of something. I sort of miss it. Remember when she was promoting Poker Face and did like, 100 different upbeat versions of it?

Yes. I remember that, I miss that. She did it with LoveGame too if I remember correctly.

She's basically robbing herself of what was one of her biggest selling points. The performances aren't bad, but we got it a long time ago that she can rock a piano and sing (more or less). The performances at this point are just really non-event.
I remember when I used to be on the edge of my seat anxious to see this girl take the stage, just to see what she'd do. Now? Not so much.

Gaga has been very hit or miss for me this era, in general. Her performances lately haven't been up to par with what she has delivered in 09-10. I want that fire and over-the-top spectacle back, especially if she's going to send a song like this out as a single. Stripped down performances of this won't work. Go all out or don't even bother.

I did like some BTW performances and Judas ones, but the Judas ones that were great came after the main promo for the song. Like, it took her a few live performances to figure it out so the main ones weren't great, unfortunately. Then she had two more laid back songs in a row...but it is definitely time for her to step it up for MTN. It is a fast more classic Gaga song and deserves some epic fast live performances. I wonder if she has any promo spots or performances lined up already? I am assuming she will do it on the Thanksgiving special.

I like the radio edit! It sounds like they just placed the funky beats over her normal singing (rather than the funky beats having their own time).
I'm not obsessed with this song though, so someone else might be able to describe the differences better.
I still can't wait to see how this performs. I'm hoping for it to do as well as You and I, and I'll be floored if it does better.

The song basically sounds the same except they cut out a fair bit of the disco/funk breakdown at the end of the song and made it less long-winded. They also did a fair amount of editing by adding extra vocals in at the beginning of the breakdown. I enjoy that because the one minute length at the very end would not be radio friendly. Overall, I believe this is en route to smashing.
By the way, does she not have a performance at the AMAs?

Bertrand at DJRicoMixshow.com posted that these versions were serviced today:
-Radio Edit 4:01 -Radio Edit Instrumental 4:00 -David Jost Twin Radio Remix 3:31
I like the edit. Just right.
I wonder what the David Jost one sounds like? I have heard some of his mixes and they are anywhere from pretty good to total garbage. He is from the group Tokio Hotel.

2:18 - 2:58 is unbelievably good. It is probably my favourite 40 seconds on the entire album, to be honest and if the entire song was that good it would be legendary. I can't wait for the video to come out!

I like the stripped down version of "Marry the Night" but then again I like most of her acoustic performances. Her theater overtly over-the-top schtick was beginning to become very stale. I wouldn't mind dance performances of this though I mean this is a pretty uptempo song.

its funny sometimes i totally get this song and feel the freedom and liberation she was intending with it and sometimes i just dont. didnt like that performance with the sitar sounded really awkward. but i hope its a hit for her. i want her to keep selling albums over the holidays.

I love the radio edit. Really glad they didn't mess it up like with 'Yoü and I.'
