They're 3 for 3 with top-notch singles from this album so far. I took an mp3 copy of the album from a friend last summer, but have yet to check it out. I'm pretty bummed that there's no way I can realistically evaluate it before I make my list of favorite albums of 2011. What's lame is that my Active-leaning Alt station ignored "Pumped Up Kicks" and "Helena Beat," but finally got on board with this, earning it the last slot on their year-end countdown yesterday. Better late than never, I suppose. Glad you could join us at the party, finally.

Despite initially finding this to be mind-numbingly annoying, it's grown on me a lot.

Sort of off-topic? No, not really. But I finally made the long-awaited "Pumped Up Kicks" vs. "Cleveland Rocks" mash-up. :)

Is your name Ian Foster? That's ironic.

Is your name Ian Foster? That's ironic. Nope! It's Ian Hunter mixed with Foster the People. (I was worried it'd go over people's heads.)

Great song. One of my favourites from Torches. I'm hoping for the best this time around, perhaps not within a Pumped Up Kicks capacity although that would be nice. This is so colourful, upbeat and generally happy; I can see it catching on.

Despite initially finding this to be mind-numbingly annoying, it's grown on me a lot. I thought it was annoying on the first listen, but it grew on me pretty quickly. Of course, now this lost its bullet while "Helena Beat" has one again. Weird. I really think they released this too soon, and now the two songs are blocking each other from reaching their full chart potential.

I really think they released this too soon, and now the two songs are blocking each other from reaching their full chart potential. There's a lot of weird movement because of the end of the year. Other songs that were taking off really well (Gotye, fun., etc) also took huge hits.

Up to #9 on the Alternative Songs chart this week, tying Helena Beat's peak. On Mediabase it's up to #7 today.
