Kacey re-entering is amazing! It's really sad how country radio has abandoned her despite all of her recent success. I hope Southbound starts going up the charts more.

I wouldn't say they have abandoned Kacey Musgraves evident by her re entering. The charts are just so crowded right now that it is easy to get lost in the shuffle. Also not helping is Kacey Musgraves having a less than stellar relationship with radio and that goes both ways.

Sorry guys, I am taking a week off. The charts are so confusing right now and I am so unsure of how anything will go from the Top 10 on down. I'll be back next week, but this week was just way too confusing to keep track of.

Predictions will come next Sunday. Just looking at tonight's chart is all the justification I need for why I didn't do predictions. A grand total of 16 songs lost their bullet this week which is just so absurd.
Anyways, looking at the chart I do think both "Beautiful Crazy" and finally "Caught Up In The Country" will go recurrent. Hopefully they take along "On My Way to You" along with it as well and if I am lucky "Day Drunk" as well.
For debuts next week both Keith Urban "We Were" and Lady Antebellum "What If I Never Got Over You" are both probably getting iHeartMedia debuts which will probably slow the charts up a bit. Probably for the last debut or re-entry if there is one would probably be like Riley Green.
I don't foresee Lauren Alaina re-entering in fact her song may be done. Also I would say chart prospects are looking real grim for "Rainbow" as Kacey Musgraves has hit a brick wall with gains and seems to be fading away.
But besides that not a ton. The good news is with both Chase Rice and Jon Pardi in certain freefall that should help some of the other songs below the Top 10 gain some more traction back after last week's slowdown (Tim McGraw, Runaway June and Tenille Townes especially).

As much as I'd love to see Cody hit the Top 10, I just don't see it happening. Too much competition right behind him and it has been on fumes for a few weeks. #12, not bad. I'm sure Red Dirt radio is chomping at the bit for a new single from Cody. Wonder how much the album has sold, it's really another great album from him.

Odd to see the power up ads from Lee Brice, but yeah starting to see some movement at least in the top 10

Odd to see the power up ads from Lee Brice, but yeah starting to see some movement at least in the top 10 I wouldn't read too much into it. I remember when "Road Less Traveled" by Lauren Alaina was at #8 and got power up ads.

New and Active Section (in no particular order) Riley Green "In Love By Now" Michael Ray "Her World or Mine" Caylee Hammack "Family Tree" Caroline Jones "Chasing Me" Maddie & Tae "Die From a Broken Heart" Tyler Rich "Love Her Wild"
Going Recurrent or Drop outs Rodney Atkins "Caught Up In The Country" |Peak #21| {Weeks: 57} LANco "Rival" |Peak #59| {Weeks: 2} (still being promoted by the label) King Calaway "World For Two" |Peak #59| {Weeks: 5} (still being promoted by the label)
Commentary/Highlights After 4 singles came up short of hitting #1 from 2014 to 2018 ("Dust", "Turn It On", "Honey I'm Good", and "Saltwater Gospel") Eli Young Band get to enjoy a week at #1 with current single "Love Ain't". This will be their fourth #1 single, with their last being "Drunk Last Night" back in very late 2013. In the runner up spot will be Kane Brown "Good As You" as he should sneak in a week at #1 with Morgan Wallen soon after with Kelsea Ballerini this week scoring her 6th Top 5 single. Given the distance from "Whiskey Glasses" and "Miss Me More". I do expect Morgan Wallen to spend a couple weeks at #1.
Last week finally for "Beautiful Crazy". There is a chance that Luke Combs goes recurrent with that song, but it is really uncertain either way so I left it on the chart. Great weeks for Lee Brice and the new Top 10 arrival Blake Shelton "God's Country". However for the now 46 week old "Love Someone" by Brett Eldredge and the rather poor testing "Look What God Gave Her" take a slower route heading in the Top 10 as both songs are at risk of missing #1.
Cody Johnson continues to struggle audience wise and as such "On My Way to You" is at risk of going recurrent this week. Slow but steady weeks for both Maren Morris and Eric Church as they near the Top 10 as the new Luke Combs experiences hangover week. Below the Top 15, Florida Georgia Line and George Strait are barely hanging on as "Talk You Out of It" is nearing 30 weeks and is running out of gas while George Strait has horrible callout scores with his latest single. Jason Aldean and the Brantley Gilbert/Lindsay Ell duet look tl battle for the last spot in the Top 20 and I am giving the slight edge to "Rearview Town".
Luke Bryan has a huge slowdown week and looks to temporarily fall out of the Top 20 with "Knockin Boots". Despite 2 iHeartMedia debuts this week Justin Moore once again surges on as "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" continues to gain more and more momentum and is looking to be a lock for Top 5 at least. Speaking of iHeartMedia debuts look for both Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum to debut in the Top 25 with "We Were" and "What If I Never Get Over You".
Unfortunately all female trio Runaway June is really struggling and badly. I do think they will for sure lose their bullet and it's a matter of if they leave Billboard Country Airplay chart tomorrow. I do think "Buy My Own Drinks" has some life still in it as I imagine Wheelhouse wants to get that debut album out. But with pretty horrible sales (besides "Back to Life" and "Closer to You" is the lowest song on iTunes in the current Billboard Top 30), I do think Top 20 is best case scenario and that is getting less and less likely the more weeks they spend just barely getting by. Tenille Townes is another artist struggling as "Somebody's Daughter" looks to lose its bullet for the second week in a row. As such she is at risk of going recurrent next week. I do think "Somebody's Daughter" is young enough to survive, but the future is bleak for her.
Despite the 2 huge debuts Carrie Underwood continues to nudge closer to the Top 30 with "Southbound" as Chris Lane does as well. Unfortunately for Morgan Evans, "Day Drunk" is another song in a lot of trouble and unlike Tenille Townes and Runaway June, I don't see a ton of upside for "Day Drunk" as it is not a lead single and the sales are even more miserable than "Buy My Own Drinks" and the song is equally as old. Lauren Alaina looks to at least have a shot of returning with "Ladies In The 90s" but since the past 3 weeks she has failed to re-enter so I am unfortunately not optimistic.
In the 40s and 50s it is bunch of just shifting around as no one really moves and instead fall back due to the 2 huge debuts this week except Kacey Musgraves who looks to have her last chart appearance with "Rainbow" bowing out just below the Top 30 peak wise. Out of all the songs I do think the singles from Dustin Lynch, Scotty McCreery, Travis Denning, Jordan Davis, and Filmore are the ones that I can see going very far and being future #1 to Top 5s. Where as the singles from Ashley McBryde, Dylan Scott, Jimmie Allen, and Adam Hambrick are ones that I can see missing out on the Top 20/30.
Songs I see leaving soon Luke Combs "Beautiful Crazy" Jon Pardi "Night Shift" Cody Johnson "On My Way to You" Florida Georgia Line "Talk You Out of It" Kacey Musgraves "Rainbow"
Songs I see debuting or returning soon Michael Ray "Her World or Mine" Jon Pardi TBA LANco "Rival" King Calaway "World For Two" Riley Green "In Love By Now" Caylee Hammack "Family Tree" Maddie & Tae "Die From a Broken Heart"
Closing Thoughts Good news with Jon Pardi, Luke Combs, and Kacey Musgraves leaving guaranteed next week that should somewhat help loosen up the chart although I suspect Jon Pardi will replace himself. But anything to help the ridiculous level of competition on the chart.
Good to be back and doing this again! Another set of predictions expected next week. See everyone then!

Kane did CCUSA this weekend, Morgan is next, and Kelsea the week after. I do see Morgan getting multiple weeks, and I wouldn't be surprised if Kelsea, Brad, and Thomas all missed #1 - at least on BB: Wouldn't be totally surprised to see BB go
Kane Morgan Lee Blake Luke C
It seems as if we're seeing more multi-week #1's with the big hits, and if that trend continues, we have three of the biggest of the year all top 15 right now.

So Morgan Evans and Ashley McBryde left and Lauren Alaina still didn't re enter because Billboard refuses to let her back on.
Looking ahead to next week, I do think still all 3 of Jon Pardi, Luke Combs ("Beautiful Crazy") and Kacey Musgraves are going recurrent. Maybe Kacey Musgraves rallies but that seems unlikely.
I do hope that at least 1 or 2 of the 3 songs basically fighting for their lives on the chart right now in Morgan Evans, Lauren Alaina, and Ashley McBryde can return. Preferably the latter 2.
Also one last thing of note. Tenille Townes, Brad Paisley, and King Calaway all need to rebullet or they too will go recurrent.
The charts are in such a slog that I do want a housecleaning, but I am pissed that the majority of songs that would fall victim would be by the female artists (this does apply more to Mediabase by the way) which just annoys me to no end especially since there isn't a lot of them on the chart as even including the duets with Lindsay Ell, P!nk, and Lady Antebellum, there are only 10 songs in the Top 60 with a credited female vocalist and.

57-59. Hunter Hayes "Yesterday's Song" I assume you mean "Heartbreak"? Because "Yesterday's Song" coming back would be the most random comeback of all-time.

CCUSA schedule: Wallen Kelsea Rhett (album week) Brett Lee
Will be interesting to see how this lines up with charts/push weeks, as this isn't lined up to the charts right now.

CCUSA schedule: Wallen Kelsea Rhett (album week) Brett Lee Will be interesting to see how this lines up with charts/push weeks, as this isn't lined up to the charts right now. I think Morgan Wallen is the only surefire #1 of these 5. Kelsea has been a bit weak these past few weeks, so a push week coinciding with CCUSA makes sense. What doesn’t make sense as a push week is Thomas Rhett, who is most likely doing CCUSA as promo for the album. I don’t know if he can make it all the way to the top, since Lee Brice has passed him (never thought I would say that) and Blake is about to also. Brett Eldredge has had a slow but steady run to the top 5 but I’m not sure he has enough gas in the tank to reach #1 (sales aren’t that great either). Finally, Lee Brice looks like he could possibly make it to the top in 6 weeks (that is if Blake doesn’t pass him on the way there).

Ryan Hurd "To a T" 44. Zac Brown Band "Someone I Used to Know" 45. Dustin Lynch "Ridin Roads" 46. LoCash "One Big Country Song" 47-48. Travis Denning "After A Few" 47-48. Scotty McCreery "In Between" 49-52. Mitchell Tenpenny "Alcohol You Later" 49-52. Filmore "Slower" 49-52. Jordan Davis "Slow Dance In A Parking Lot" 49-52. New and Active Section (in no particular order) Caroline Jones "Chasing Me" Jon Pardi "Heartache Medication" Randy Houser "No Stone Unturned" Maddie & Tae "Die From a Broken Heart" Seaforth "Love That" Brett Young "Catch"
Going Recurrent or Drop outs Luke Combs "Beautiful Crazy" Peak #1 (7 weeks at #1) Jon Pardi "Night Shift" Peak #5 Kacey Musgraves "Rainbow" Peak #33 King Calaway "World For Two" Peak #59
Commentary/Highlights Scoring his fourth #1 in a row is Kane Brown with "Good As You" hitting the top in a little less than 25 weeks. If I was a betting man I would say "Homesick" will be the third single from the album. In the runner up spot is Morgan Wallen with mega hit "Whiskey Glasses" as he gets ready for his second #1 single. Also given the huge gap between him and Kelsea Ballerini (I have it at approximately 9 million on Billboard and 11 million on Mediabase). With that in mind I do think Morgan Wallen can at least pull off a couple of weeks at #1 on Billboard before Kelsea Ballerini or whoever below her gets to #1. Brett Eldredge surged this week and looks to enter the Top 5.
Former #1s from Eli Young Band and Chase Rice look to be on their way out as Lee Brice, Thomas Rhett, and Blake Shelton get strong Top 10 conversions as the last slot in the Top 10 looks to be a battle between Cody Johnson "On My Way to You", Eric Church "Some of It", "Luke Combs "Beer Never Broke My Heart", and Maren Morris "Girl". With me giving the slight edge to Maren Morris but it should be a close finish. Chris Young and Dan + Shay enter the Top 15 as songs from Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and Justin Moore surge in gains and for Justin Moore enters the Top 20. Same can't be said for George Strait and Florida Georgia Line as both "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" and "Talk You Out of It" continue to flop around in the Top high teens, for Florida Georgia Line it is more that they aren't keeping up with the others around them.
Despite setting a new peak, Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell's "What Happens In A Small Town" really struggled to gain anything and is benefitting from the gap between them and the songs below. Speaking of which those songs below will really benefit this week from having both "Night Shift" and "Beautiful Crazy" go recurrent and have both Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum have their iHeartMedia hangover weeks. As such Runaway June moves up to finally match their Mediabase peak so far of #22 on Billboard as they pick up the pace a bit. Rascal Flatts breaks into the Top 25 for the first time in a couple years, and Tim McGraw also has a solid week as well to boot. Cole Swindell benefits a lot from this but he and especially Tenille Townes (who isn't in the clear to survive this week as she has to re-bullet) basically gained nothing.
More songs benefit as Morgan Evans should re-enter easily with "Day Drunk", time will tell though if this week was a fluke. Chris Lane picks up his fourth Top 30 single as "I Don't Know About You" continues to be a dark horse to be #1. Carrie Underwood enters the Top 30 on Billboard with "Southbound" in her 5th week compared to "Love Wins" that took 9 weeks to hit the Top 30. Also slow moving Russell Dickerson enters the Top 30 with "Every Little Thing".
Below the Top 30 for the second week is Carly Pearce with "Closer to You" as Carly Pearce has a good chance of going recurrent as she continues to die out in the 20s with "Closer to You". Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum both have their iHeartMedia hangover weeks but both should probably re-enter the Top 30 relatively easily next week. For a lot of the songs in the 30s they all moved up the same spot (except Chris Janson who gets passed by HARDY) as none of them have exceptionally great weeks. But Jimmie Allen should pick up his second Top 40 in his 18th week.
Below in the 40s a bunch of songs just try and hang around as no one does too exceptionally well and same can be said for the 50s except for some solid weeks for Michael Ray, Caylee Hammack, and Abby Anderson who are also looking to be the 3 new debuts.
Songs I see leaving soon Eli Young Band "Love Ain't" Chase Rice "Eyes On You" Florida Georgia Line "Talk You Out of It" George Strait "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" Carly Pearce "Closer to You"
Songs I see debuting or returning soon High Valley "Single Man" King Calaway "World For Two" Jon Pardi "Heartache Medication" Maddie & Tae "Die From a Broken Heart" Caroline Jones "Chasing Me"
Closing Thoughts Honestly, the charts are leaving me more confused than ever and the charts seem so congested and with CMA fest around the corner and June/July being notorious for singles being sent to radio. I do think a housecleaning is overdue, the question remains, who will be taken out when the dam breaks.
See everyone next week. Sorry for being late. Also happy Memorial Day!!!

Hello everyone. Another week behind us as the charts have another mini housecleaning and more new peaks should be made as well.

Runaway June "Buy My Own Drinks" 21. Cole Swindell "Love You Too Late" 22-23. Tim McGraw "Thought About You" 22-23. Rascal Flatts "Back to Life" 24-26. Morgan Evans "Day Drunk" 24-26. Chris Lane "I Don’t Know About You" 24-26. Keith Urban "We Were" 27. Tenille Townes "Somebody's Daughter" 28-30. Russell Dickerson "Every Little Thing" 28-30. Lady Antebellum "What If I Never Get Over You" 28-30. Carrie Underwood "Southbound" 31. Carly Pearce "Closer to You" (45% chance of going recurrent) (last week?) 32. HARDY "REDNECKER" 33. Dierks Bentley "Living" 34-35. Matt Stell "Prayed For You" 34-35. Chris Janson "Good Vibes" 36-37. Brothers Osborne "I Don't Remember Me (Before You)" 36-37. Midland "Mr. Lonely" 38. Jimmie Allen "Make Me Want To" 39. Dylan Scott "Nothing to Do Town" 40. Brad Paisley "My Miracle" 41. Ryan Hurd "To a T" 42. Zac Brown Band "Someone I Used to Know" 43. Dustin Lynch "Ridin Roads" 44-46. Brett Young "Catch" (New!) 44-46. Jon Pardi "Heartache Medication" 44-46. Mitchell Tenpenny "Alcohol You Later" 47. Lil Nas X & Billy Ray Cyrus "Old Town Road" 48-52. Travis Denning "After A Few" 48-52. Jordan Davis "Slow Dance In A Parking Lot" 48-52. LoCash "One Big Country Song" 48-52. New and Active Section (in no particular order) Jake Owen "Homemade" Caroline Jones "Chasing Me" Thomas Rhett "Remember You Young" Walker Hayes "Don't Let Her" Thomas Rhett & Kelsea Ballerini "Center Point Road" Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper "Shallow"
Going Recurrent or Drop outs Eli Young Band "Love Ain't" [Peak #1] (Weeks: 50) Chase Rice "Eyes On You" [Peak #1 (2 weeks)] (Weeks: 41) (65% chance of going recurrent) Adam Hambrick "Rockin All Night Long" [Peak #53] (Weeks: 18)
Commentary/Highlights Spending his first week completely solo at #1 is Morgan Wallen with the huge single "Whiskey Glasses". Expect this to spend at least another week at #1 as the gap between him and Kelsea Ballerini "Miss Me More" is so huge, Morgan Wallen should get another week at the top. Speaking of Kelsea Ballerini despite her remaining at #3 she is still gaining and trying to get her fifth #1 song. Unfortunately for Kelsea Ballerini, Lee Brice continues to close the gap between the two and looks to possibly pass her next week. Brett Eldredge is also back to crawling along as "Love Someone" is definitely the weakest link in the Top 10 and looks to be slowing down a lot as Lee Brice passes her and both of Thomas Rhett & Blake Shelton look to get ahead next week.
Speaking of Thomas Rhett, after spending 3 weeks at #9 "Look What God Gave Her" looks to get back in the fold setting a new peak of either #6 or #7. Last week Maren Morris barely edged out Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Cody Johnson to claim the Top 10. The good news for her is that with both Chase Rice and Eli Young Band going recurrent this week, "Girl" should maintain it's footing in the Top 10. Eric Church and Luke Combs look to enter the Top 10. For Luke Combs, he looks to be set up to be #1 after Blake Shelton/Thomas Rhett clear out. As for both Eric Church and Maren Morris, I imagine if they want the Billboard #1 they are gonna have to wait out Luke Combs or settle for a Mediabase only #1. Cody Johnson looks to be just outside the Top 10. The good news for him is that he had picked up the pace again after spending a month or two just dying out in the 12-15 range.
Chris Young and Dan + Shay gained well this week. Despite the fact that they both are probably gonna have to wait a few weeks before they hit the Top 10, I imagine both "Raised On Country" and "All To Myself" are gonna keep gaining well. Same to a lesser extent goes to Jason Aldean, however "Rearview Town" had a bit of a slower week than expected.
The last Top 15 spot looks to be between Justin Moore and Florida Georgia Line. For Justin Moore "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" continues to look like an absolute lock, on the flipside Florida Georgia Line continue to be one of the weakest songs in the Top 20 and I don't see them hitting Top 10 with "Talk You Out of It". George Strait looks just about spent as Luke Bryan continues to recover after its strange dud a week a few weeks back. New to the Top 20 is Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell with "What Happens In A Small Town" and for Lindsay Ell this now ties last year's "Criminal" for her highest charting song. The other new Top 20 entry looks to be new trio Runaway June with "Buy My Own Drinks". I don't see Runaway June with the Top 10 with this, but it is awesome to see a female act hit the Top 20 with no OTV for the song. Not to mention Runaway June has never got OTV treatment. Only female artist to score a Top 20 with no OTV treatment ever is Kelsea Ballerini. Very impressed for them. Oh they also had a solid week of gains as well to boot.
After last week of Cole Swindell indirectly benefiting from the housecleaning Cole Swindell takes some initiative and should move just below the Top 20 with "Love You Too Late". Lesser but still strong weeks for Rascal Flatts and Tim McGraw as they too look to be eyeing the Top 20.
After entering the Top 30 last week both Chris Lane and Morgan Evans both have good weeks and look to be in it for the long haul. Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum should re-enter the Top 30 and both are moving at a pretty similar pace. After 4 very strong weeks out of the gate Carrie Underwood finally slows back for a week with "Southbound", but the song is still very young and looks to be a lock for Top 10 at least.
Carly Pearce is hanging on by a thread with "Closer to You". Carly Pearce does have a chance to go recurrent, but she might be able to sneak in a bullet this week. On the other side new artist HARDY is really heating up the chart with "REDNECKER" as he nears the Top 30. Good gains for Chris Janson and Matt Stell as well this week. New Top 40 entries look to be Dylan Scott and Brad Paisley. Both "Nothing to Do Town" and "My Miracle" continue to gain little by little. I do think both should make the Top 30.
In the 40s and 50s Jon Pardi and Brett Young are off to expected fast starts with Brett Young looking for a Top 50 debut. Lil Nas X seems to be getting more beyond Bobby Bones airplay and looks to set a new peak. Also collaboration from P!nk & Chris Stapleton looks to gain some more audience despite the position setback as more stations add it. Hunter Hayes looks ro be near life support with "Heartbreak". To close out the commentary on a good note, new female artist Caylee Hammack looks to have a great week thanks to KKBQ airplay which is always a good thing and Michael Ray should debut with "Her World or Mine". Songs I see leaving soon Florida Georgia Line "Talk You Out of It" George Strait "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" Carly Pearce "Closer to You"
Songs I see debuting or returning soon Jake Owen "Homemade" Caroline Jones "Chasing Me" High Valley "Single Man" Tucker Beathard "Better Than Me" Maddie & Tae "Die From a Broken Heart"
Closing Thoughts With both of Chase Rice and Eli Young Band going recurrent, more than likely this week. I don't see anyone going recurrent unless Carly Pearce gives up. Maybe Florida Georgia Line will as well. But I do think "Talk You Out of It" will last a few weeks. I do hope that songs that are being promoted but have been off the Billboard charts for a few weeks in Lauren Alaina and Ashley McBryde also give up on Mediabase as those songs don't have much upside in terms of peak and borh are just taking up chart spots on Mediabase.
But until next week. See everyone for predictions where we will see where everyone lies on the chart and who will be gone if anyone.

raylatch98 just a minor heads-up, but you made a typo with the song titles for Dan + Shay and Midland in your predictions.

Billboard Country Airplay Top 60 1. Morgan Wallen "Whiskey Glasses" 2. Kelsea Ballerini "Miss Me More" 3-4. Kane Brown "Good As You" 3-4. Lee Brice "Rumor" 5. Brett Eldredge "Love Someone" 6. Blake Shelton "God's Country" 7. Thomas Rhett "Look What God Gave Her" 8-10. Eric Church "Some of It" 8-10. Maren Morris "Girl" 8-10. Luke Combs "Beer Never Broke My Heart" 11. Cody Johnson "On My Way to You" (last week?) 12. Chris Young "Raised On Country" 13. Dan + Shay "All To Myself" 14. Jason Aldean "Girl Like You 15-16. Luke Bryan "Knockin Boots" 15-16. Justin Moore "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" 17. Florida Georgia Line "Talk You Out of It" 18. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell "What Happens In A Small Town" 19. George Strait "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" 20. Runaway June "Buy My Own Drinks" 21. Cole Swindell "Love You Too Late" 22. Trisha Yearwood "Every Girl In This Town" (New!) 23-24. Morgan Evans "Day Drunk" 23-24. Rascal Flatts "Back to Life" 25. Chris Lane "I Don’t Know About You" 26-27. Keith Urban "We Were" 26-27. Tim McGraw "Thought About You" 28-31. Lady Antebellum "What If I Never Get Over You" 28-31. Carrie Underwood "Southbound" 28-31. Russell Dickerson "Every Little Thing" 28-31. Tenille Townes "Somebody's Daughter" 32. Carly Pearce "Closer to You" 33. Matt Stell "Prayed For You" 34. Sheryl Crow featuring Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris "Prove You Wrong" (New!) 35. Dierks Bentley "Living" 36. HARDY "REDNECKER" 37-38. Chris Janson "Good Vibes" 37-38. Brothers Osborne "I Don't Remember Me (Before You)" 39. Midland "Mr. Lonely" 40. Jimmie Allen "Make Me Want To" 41-42. Dylan Scott "Nothing to Do Town" 41-42. Zac Brown Band "Someone I Used to Know" 43-46. Brett Young "Catch" 43-46. Ryan Hurd "To a T" 43-46. Brad Paisley "My Miracle" 43-46. Dustin Lynch "Ridin Roads" 47. Jordan Davis "Slow Dance In A Parking Lot" 48-49. Mitchell Tenpenny "Alcohol You Later" 48-49. Travis Denning "After A Few" 50-54. Riley Green "In Love By Now" 50-54. Caylee Hammack "Family Tree" 50-54. Jon Pardi "Heartache Medication" (Re-Entry!) 50-54. Scotty McCreery "In Between" 50-54. LoCash "One Big Country Song" 55. Jake Owen "Homemade"(New!) 56. Filmore "Slower" 57-59. King Calaway "World For Two" 57-59. LANco "Rival" 57-59. P!nk featuring Chris Stapleton "Love Me Anyway" 60. Caroline Jones "Chasing Me" (New!) New and Active Section (in no particular order) Jameson Rodgers "Some Girls" Maddie & Tae "Die From a Broken Heart" Hunter Hayes "Heartbreak" Abby Anderson "Good Lord" Tucker Beathard "Better Than Me" High Valley "Single Man" Going Recurrent or Drop outs Eli Young Band "Love Ain't" Lil Nas X & Billy Ray Cyrus "Old Town Road" Michael Ray "Her World or Mine" (still being promoted by the label) Thomas Rhett "Remember You Young"
Commentary/Highlights Looking to spend his second week at #1 is Morgan Wallen with "Whiskey Glasses" arguably one of the biggest hits of the year for country music. In the silver spot should be Kelsea Ballerini "Miss Me More" coming up just short of the Billboard #1. One thing to note that next week could have a somewhat close finish for #1. Lee Brice "Rumor" has a good lead on Brett Eldredge "Love Someone" which will be max spinning next week, that and Morgan Wallen "Whiskey Glasses" has a good lead on both of them.
Blake Shelton gets back ahead of Thomas Rhett as "God's Country" soars and "Look What God Gave Her" goes back to a slow crawl. Maren Morris, Eric Church continue to get Top 10 conversions along with Luke Combs as all 3 singles remain tight with each other. Just outside the Top 10 is Cody Johnson "On My Way to You" as he continues to stay barely afloat, the good news for Cody Johnson is that the songs below him don't seem likely to pass him for a couple of weeks. So a Billboard Top 10 peak is still doable.
Speaking of those songs, Chris Young and Dan + Shay get closer to the Top 10 and both are locks for a Top 3 finish at least. Jason Aldean does have a slower week but is also doing well. Final Top 15 spot looks to be between either Luke Bryan "Knockin Boots" or Justin Moore "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home". George Strait has raised the white flag as "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" has begun freefall, however since George Strait is under 20 weeks he will get 2 more chart appearances. Florida Georgia Line also looks about ready to give up as well as "Talk You Out of It" stayed flat all week. Despite a slow start to the week Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell really surged ahead the last couple of days. Also look for Runaway June to get their very first Top 20 single on country radio with "Buy My Own Drinks", the first time a female trio has been in the Top 20 in well over a decade.
Trisha Yearwood is looking for a Top 25 debut with new single "Every Girl In This Town" judging by the gains made the past couple of days, I do think if this song is to set a new peak, it would take a while to do unfortunately. But still very great debut for her. Morgan Evans surged a bit while Rascal Flatts looks to have faltered back with "Back to Life". Same goes for Tim McGraw with "Thought About You". Lady Antebellum should probably re-enter the Top 30, but it looks to be a close finish between them, Tenille Townes, Russell Dickerson, and Carrie Underwood. One of these 4 will come up short of the Top 30 but it does appear too close to call.
The other iHeartMedia debut, this time from Sheryl Crow with some vocal helps from Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris should get a Top 40 debut. Matt Stell is also doing a great job this week as he should get ahead of Dierks Bentley which personally shocked me. But it does seem like "Living" is taking its sweet time up the chart. Jimmie Allen looks to get a good boost to help solidify his Top 40 placement more.
In the 40s and 50s, Brett Young is off to a good start, just not as noticeable because of the 2 huge debuts of the week. Jordan Davis also had a good week. Caylee Hammack got another boost from KKBQ and she should contend for the Top 50 this week with "Family Tree" and while not with KKBQ Riley Green also did great this week with "In Love By Now". But with both of these huge debuts, a solid debut from Jake Owen and a returning Jon Pardi, this has really set a lot of artists back position wise (Filmore, P!nk, Scotty McCreery, LoCash). Last but not least I think there is a strong chance that Caroline Jones debuts this week with "Chasin Me" but I also would not rule out Michael Ray "Her World or Mine", Thomas Rhett "Remember You Young", or Hunter Hayes "Heartbreak". Songs I see leaving soon Florida Georgia Line "Talk You Out of It" George Strait "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" Rascal Flatts "Back to Life" Kelsea Ballerini "Miss Me More"
Songs I see debuting or returning soon High Valley "Single Man" Tucker Beathard "Better Than Me" Garth Brooks & Blake Shelton "Dive Bar" Maddie & Tae "Die From a Broken Heart" Abby Anderson "Good Lord" Jameson Rodgers "Some Girls"
Closing Thoughts 2 huge debuts, a lead Jon Pardi single, and new Brett Young single was all but guaranteed to slow the chart back down to a crawling pace. With a Garth Brooks debut coming soon and Miranda Lambert due any week for new music, only the strong songs will survive.
But I hope everyone reading this has a great week and stay tuned for next week's predictions from me. Bye!!

The new Garth/Blake song won't debut till June 18th, so it shouldn't impact next weeks chart. I would also imagine we'd get the official debut of the new Miranda single soon, and that will certainly get a promo debut as well.
Next week definitely looks to be interesting between Morgan, Lee, and Brett. I know it's not scheduled, but I feel like if I were Lee I might want to push sooner than later. Especially since after Brett peaks, you'd think WMN might push God's Country a bit more.

Next week is Thomas’ push week then Lee’s push week is week after next so I have a feeling Morgan may block Brett and Lee both next week again giving his lead over both and provided he doesn’t fall hard. Then Thomas’ push week will be interesting. Lee could block Thomas possibly and have a 2 week #1. The next 3 weeks to me are going to be interesting.

Yeah I know the schedule, but wonder if it's possible we see an audible. The schedule doesn't particularly make sense with how songs are currently lined up on the charts.

Im usually not good with record labels and the artists on them. Unless I’m incorrect about this aren’t all 3 on different labels? Isn’t Thomas on Big Machine or Valory, Lee on Curb and Brett on another like Mercury? If that’s the case then it sounds like it’s gonna be a war over who gets it. If 2 of them are on the same label then usually doesn’t the record label let one of their artists have it one week then push the other one to the top the next? Maybe I’m wrong with that theory but all in all when it comes down to it it’s sounding like it’s gonna be a real confusing 2-3 weeks.

Blake and Brett are both on warner. Putting on my if I were a label head hat: if I’m Warner I’m maxing Brett this week, and then making an audience (but not spin) lush fornblake. Basically get him a few weeks of billboard only #1’s, before pushing for mediabase. This is what Sony did with Luke & beautiful crazy. I’m I’m Lee’s label, knowing this, and knowing that I’m already ahead of Brett and Thomas, I think I push this week & make sure I get the #1. That said, I’m not a label head, and I don’t know if they even have that flexibility to change weeks anyways.

Brett is lucky he will get the #1. It's his turn next week per CC-USA.
The horse-race is the following week. It's Thomas Rhett's turn to be #1, but no way Lee's label will "play nice" knowing that Blake Shelton is closing in very quickly.
I predict Thomas Rhett will be blocked and peak at #2 on BOTH charts. Blake's song is a monster smash, and it's bound to be multi-week #1 on BB. I think Maren Morris, Cody Johnson and Eric Church (along with Thomas Rhett) will all get blocked by Blake or Luke Combs.
Prediction: 6/16 - Brett #1 (Morgan Wallen #1 on BB) 6/23 - Lee #1 both charts 6/30 - Blake #1 both charts
I think Blake gets 3 weeks on BB, and Combs gets 4 weeks on BB. The sales/streaming are astronomically high for Shelton and Combs. We might get a string of #2 peaks on Mediabase, which is rare to see but I really think it could happen.

Can I just say that this year has been a mess at the top of the chart. Assuming Morgan Wallen is at #1 tomorrow. We would have our 7th multi week #1 on Billboard this year ("Speechless", "Here Tonight", "Beautiful Crazy", "Eyes On You", "Whiskey Glasses", "This Is It", and "Girl Like You") and we aren't even halfway done with the year.
Given how messy the next few weeks look to be I hope we get at least a few more this year.

Songs I see debuting or returning soon High Valley "Single Man" Tucker Beathard "Better Than Me" Garth Brooks & Blake Shelton "Dive Bar" Maddie & Tae "Die From a Broken Heart" Abby Anderson "Good Lord" Jameson Rodgers "Some Girls" Ingrid Andress "More Hearts Than Mine"
Closing Thoughts Garth Brooks & Blake Shelton look to debut next week probably a huge debut to boot as well. But with both George Strait and Kelsea Ballerini both going recurrent this time next week that should help soften the blow as the charts seem to be moving at a bit more of a steady clip See everyone next week.

I was really hoping Brett Young would reach the top 40 tonight but he’s at #42. The only song so far to enter the top 40 is Ryan Hurd at #39. Dylan Scott re-entered. It seems like Cody and Sheryl were the only songs to drop out of the top 40. I have a feeling Trisha stayed in the top 40 at #40 because so far no songs besides Dylan and Ryan that we’re outside the top 40 have set new peaks inside the top 40. I’m completely fine if Trisha stayed I’d love to see her get her 20th top 10 with Every Girl In This Town.

Interesting upcoming ccusa co-host schedule: Coming weekend: Lee Garth Garth Eric Maren
Interesting in that Blake isn’t on there. Either he just didn’t feel like doing it, or he’ll go on after Maren & they’re thinking GC can hold #1 through that period
