The Civil Wars added to The Grammy performance lineup. We could be getting a Grammy performance of "Safe & Sound". I'm thinking we are getting a medley.

I hope that it's just a performance of "Safe & Sound" unless The Civil Wars sing one of their songs. I don't want a medley, because those seem to always leave out my favorite parts.

Really don't think The Civil Wars would be invited to perform alone, so I think they have to be performing with Taylor. I've heard people mention a S&S/Mean medley, since Mean is the nominated song, but I think that sounds awful. Not just the musical transition, but thematically. S&S is a dark, sad song. I think S&S with anything else would be pretty awful. I think it would just sound really disconnected like the 2010 Today Was a Fairytale/You Belong With Me/Rhiannon medley did. (even with perfect pitch, I think that would've been a bad performance) But I'm confused if it's just S&S, because her whole band just flew to LA a couple days ago and Liz tweeted about band rehearsals yesterday. It could just be band rehearsals for the Australian tour I guess, but Paul re-tweeted this a couple days ago: paulsidoti You too! RT @listentodavis: Hey @paulsidoti, good seeing ya at airport bro! It was like a @prsguitars family reunion. Have fun at Grammys! Eta: Taylor's band is for sure performing at the Grammy's, so it has to be a medley. DDO_NashATL DDO Feb. 12, check out the Grammy Awards on CBS (8ET/7CT); our Music client Elizabeth Huett is performing with Grammy nominee Taylor Swift!

It is obviously a performance of "Safe & Sound". The Civil Wars just got added to the Grammy Lineup and the video premieres the next day. There is no reason not to perform it.Performing the day before the video comes out is perfect promotion for the song and will get the song back on the chart once again.

Taylor's doing a re-vamped version of "Mean". The Civil Wars are introducing her (and performing one of their own songs before they do). From the Grammy producer: m.freep.com/entertainment/article?a=2012120209072&f=1234As much as I love (and wanted) S&S, I'm glad it doesn't sound like it'll be a medley. And I'm glad she's mixing things up and doing a new arrangement we haven't heard before. Eta: You can here her rehearsing in the background towards the end of this Civil Wars interview. LINK

From someone who was at rehearsals:
I was hoping they would at least drop the set... Curious to see what's so different about it. Since everything sounds the same as the way it's performed on tour/at the ACM's so far.

Im very pleasently surprised she picked up two awards already, I hope she can win Country Album, as that was the one I wanted her to win the most.

She put on a great performance. Her vocals were vastly improved from the previous Grammy performance and the song choice was perfect for what that performance represented. She deserved that standing ovation and she deserved her Grammy wins.

Are you people serious? Of course she sounded 'great' because she lip synced it! It was blatantly obvious. I don't mind her but let's get real.

Loved her Grammy performance! Those live vocals were great <3 Congrats on picking up two more grammy's although I'm surprised and sad she didn't win country album for the flawless Speak Now...but I love Lady A too, so it's all good :)

Apparently she has another song on the Hunger Games soundtrack called "Eyes Wide Open"? Yep! Someone who interviewed her for The Lorax last week tweeted that she mentioned a second song. And the track list is on iTunes now, and it's listed on there. This one's a solo song. The Civil Wars have their own song too called "Kingdom Come".

LoL. Here's a hint people. When the lips and voice aren't in sync, it's pretty clear that some shenanigans are happening. She would pull away from the mic but the volume of her voice stayed the same. Not to mention that HUGE mic covering her mouth the entire time. I do like Taylor and think she's really talented but this performance was certainly lipped.

When does the Hunger Games soundtrack come out anyway? I think I might buy it.

Either your eyes are off or you watched a shoddy feed because she did not lip sync and she was perfectly in sync. End of. Drop it. Looking forward to the other song from The Hunger Games!

I meant to put this in the earlier post, but it slipped my mind: I'm so proud of our girl tonight. She did great, and won two awards! (Should have been three...but whatever. I can deal.) I'm excited for her other Hunger Games song, and the track listing looks great! Miranda Lambert, The Decemberists, The Civil Wars, Neko Case, and Arcade Fire!
