That's cool - I doubt TSWR will be in the tour set list, so it'll be nice to hear a real live performance of it (as opposed to the recorded one on the EP).

Probably my least favorite song on the album (not bad, though--I just don't like the overproduced album version with Kara; I only listen to the EP one now), but what a touching tribute for her to do. I love to hear all of her songs live at some point, so this will do.

I guess IBHFChristmas isn't going to radio is it? I read its #93 peak on Hot 100 is the highest it has reached on Billboard top 100, Beating Josh Grobens version from 2006. It probably would soar up AC charts

So glad we're getting a televised performance of TSWR! Definitely in my top 3 of the album. I wasn't crazy about the acoustic version on the deluxe, so I hope this one is a little better.

Congrats to Kelly, Sara, and Miranda for breaking in the always male-heavy top ten! + The Band Perry, which has my favourite song on that list. Well, that and DYWS obviously. I cannot wait to hear a TSWR performance. I always love when she does different songs that we haven't heard live yet (not including the Smoakstack recording)

"What Doesn't Kill You" made EW's Top 10 Best Singles list at number 10! Where did you find that info Adam. I've googled it and I can't find in. :( I subscribe to EW & got it in the mail today. Here's the info: 1. Nicki Minaj - Super Bass 2. Foster the People - Pumped Up Kicks 3. The Throne - No Church in the Wild 4. Lana Del Rey - Video Games 5. Beyonce - Countdown 6. Wild Flag - Romance 7. Britney Spears - I Wanna Go 8. Colbie Callait - Brighter Than the Sun 9. Foo Fighters - Walk 10. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You " Note to all boys: Please keep breaking up with Kelly Clarkson. Seven years after "Since U Been Gone," we still need more single-ladies anthems like this one: a sequin-studded disco revamp that begins with a note of self-assurance ("You know, the bed feels warmer sleeping here alone") before raging into a full-blown I Will Survive defiance. Sure, what doesn't kill you much make you stronger. But more important, it helps you write a mean pop song."

Great news! For anyone interested in knowing, this marks Clarkson's 19th Hot 100 chart appearance since 2002.

How can WDKY be on their list for this year? It hasn't even been released yet! Obviously it's nice seeing it on there, but it doesn't make much sense to me.

WDKY is my #1 single of the year, regardless of whether it's been officially released yet.

Yeah, which is sort of a bummer because after it smashes the Pop scene to pieces next year, it'd have a better shot of being at the top. I think EW just loves Kelly and wanted to include her, and like WDKY more than MKIA. It's nice promo for the song, at least. Oh well. I guess Dark Side can just top it for 2012.

I mean, there's an up-front cost in reaching out to the stations, but I doubt there's much of the follow-on promotion that goes with a regular single, and once it gets into radio's Christmas rotation, it can stay there for years.

Really? I thought it was a Christmas single. That sucks. I would have loved to hear her version of IBHFC on the radio.

My dad works for Allstate - who sponsors the Sugar Bowl down in New Orleans - and he told me tonight that Kelly's playing a free show down there January 2nd as part of some big fan fest thing. There are no announced acts yet for the Sugar Bowl (or any of the bowl games for that matter), but if it's true that's cool for people who are going/live near there.

If Dr. Luke had produced Don't Be A Girl About It, do you think it would have been an early single? It has a similar feel to My Life Would Suck Without You without sounding like Since U Been Gone part 2. I'd hate to think labels judge the singles based on the producers, but with RCA my guess is they do.

I'd hate to think labels judge the singles based on the producers, but with RCA my guess is they do. I actually think that "Don't Be A Girl About It" was never considered, regardless of the producers. There aren't that many big-name additions to this album, and yet a good amount of these small producers will have a hand in a single release. "Don't Be A Girl About It" is too much like "My Life Would Suck Without You", and, if possible, much more immature. I enjoy it, but if they considered releasing it I would question their judgment. My guess is most of the singles are in the first half of the album.
