Well it may be the end of its Top 100 run.. Kelly Clarkson, Stronger (4,000, -6%, 934,000) (#97 BB200) Kelly Clarkson, Dark Side (24,000, -13%, 543,000) Kelly Clarkson, Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) (17,000, +5%, 3.783 million) Jason Aldean/Kelly Clarkson, Don't You Wanna Stay (5,000, +8%, 2.168 million) even though it fell in terms of chart position relieved to see it didnt fall much at all in sales! (more importanty). No doubt this is at least passing AIEW prob. in a matter of weeks. It's only 60kish to 1 million. Long as they do some kind of discount/markdown weeks here and there and w/ the holidays, IF theres a 4th single, and promo for the GH, its gonna get her VERY close to 1 million if not past it. While I dont think itll happen as quickly as I orig. thought I think it will happen. *OH and I think the total for WDKY is off. Hasnt it been at 3.78 for weeks now? lol. I don't think theyve updated #s lol. Its clearly well over 3.8 million now. :)

Kelly Clarkson gets high on Harbour lights on Sydney Bridge Amy Harris, Joel Christie The Daily Telegraph September 28, 2012 12:00AM Kelly Clarkson does the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb. Picture: Bridgeclimb Source: Supplied KELLY Clarkson saw the dark side of Sydney on Wednesday night. Rugging up, the Texan powerhouse treated her band to the after-hours Bridge Climb for their only day off in the Harbour city. And she described the experience as "freakin' awesome" in that trademark southern twang. It was a much different view of the Mr Know It All songstress, who last night dolled up for her Stronger concert at the Entertainment Centre. As always, Clarkson's stage was without special effects, back-up dancers or any tricks that other singers with half her vocal strength tend to rely on. The 30-year-old pop rock diva opened the show with a belting version of her 2009 hit My Life Would Suck Without You and worked her way through a back catalogue from her ve albums. A cover of Adele's insurpassable Someone Like You was a particular highlight of the concert. www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/sydney-confidential/kelly-clarkson-gets-high-on-harbour-lights-on-sydney-bridge/story-e6frewz0-1226482917768

from KCFan121 from the Express, who was at the concert in Sydney...
I'll just make a quick post about the show, Kelly was incredible, she performed the piano version of never again. She performed Einstein, I got video of it, and I got video of you love me, bthe, BOY, chatter and partial of let me down. I'll post pictures tomorrow when I get home and some videos. She was on fire the whole night! She was so sweet in meet and greet as well, she even said the F word a couple of times. Haha.
That's all from me now. Once again she killed it! And she looked gorgeous.

"Breathe Me" video courtesy AlisonB at the Express... Alison B also had this to say.. My Breath Again video www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yoePkt_4YY Kelly also said that they were waiting on confirmation but it looks like the first single off her new album is a song written by her and Jason Halbert. She was on fire tonight, lots of chatter too. She even dropped the F bomb.

So it wouldn't be Get Up then, I guess. I would love for it to be a Kelly cowrite--haven't had that for a lead single in a while.

I just hope it leans more towards Cry and NOT Standing in Front Of You. And dear God, I hope he didn't produce it. Surely not, so I still have hope it could be a killer track!

I am so incredibly happy at that news, I want another beautifully written song from Kelly and she always delivers with her bandmates. Songs like "Cry", "Ready" and "Haunted", which were written with Jason, are phenomenal songs - the only issue with them is their production - so that's the only thing that worries me. RCA has been so on point though that I'm sure it will be great.

He's a competent producer, and I loved what he did with SIFOY, but as for the lead single off a new project? I don't think he has what it takes to produce that. I'd love a Kelly co-write, but not with a band member. They've never churned out anything hit-worthy together, save that stuff for album track #12 please. Considering how extremely competitive the charts are currently, Kelly's going to need something really strong to not only stand out, but to recover from Dark Side. It better be good. And if the producer is indeed Greg Kurstin, my worries will be put to rest. He wrote neither WDKY nor Dark Side, which are flawless, he can do a great job elevating a song he had no involvement in writing.

He is, but he did not write the song. He put the dance beat over it and changed a few of the lyrics with Kelly, hence the credit. The overall song came from other people.

I knew it. *OH and I think the total for WDKY is off. Hasnt it been at 3.78 for weeks now? lol. I don't think theyve updated #s lol. Its clearly well over 3.8 million now. :) Idol chatter doesn't count all version of the song, but the discrepancy isn't that big and it's even smaller for songs that sold less. It's around 3.809 million, maybe 3-5 million higher. "Breathe Me" video courtesy AlisonB at the Express... This song means a lot to me, I'm so glad she covered it <3

Oh man. I am torn about the single possibly being a Kelly/Jason co-write. I love love love the idea of a Kelly penned song being a single. She deserves it. At the same time, those songs are often not the ones that are the most radio friendly and there is usually a reason why they don't get released as singles. The good news is that I can't imagine RCA taking a gamble with a lead single. They must feel it can be a hit. Part of me also hopes it is a stunning ballad because that is what I tend to think of them writing together even though there is absolutely no mention of the type of song this will be yet. I don't see RCA doing what they did for Stronger by saving the smash for 2nd single because this will likely only have 2 singles on it to begin with. When you are only looking for two songs you should be able to put your A&R people under a lot of pressure to find 2 hits.
Finally, just because I like to play with my emotions, did Jason and Kelly co-write All I Know???? Not that it would ever happen but sweet baby Jesus would that be the best news ever???? Probably not meant for radio but I still hold out hope so I may as well mention it. lol You know Kelly saw all those requests for it on tour!!!

To dovetail off your question, I wondered something similar: Was 'Don't Ever Give Up On Me' written by Kelly/Jason ? I know that ballads are rarely Pop radio hits these days ('Because of You', 'Bleeding Love', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', 'Halo', etc. are the exception to this), but 'Give Up' is just so special to me, that I won't mind if it were released to radio. I know that I am being a bit selfish and delusional because it would probably not mesh well in Pop radio's dance-filled landscape today, but I can dream a bit, no ?

Am I the only one who really isn't concerned about the first single possibly being a Jason co-write (or even production for that matter, though I doubt he produced it)? Because to be honest we really don't have much evidence of what he can do, in terms of finished and recorded songs. He only has a production credit for SIFOY (well, and co producing My December, but we know the song won't sound like that), and he co-wrote Haunted, Cry, and Ready. If this GH lead is uptempo then we have no basis for comparison at all. If it's a ballad we really only have Cry to compare it to, and if it's a mid-tempo that could mean any of a gazillion things that sound nothing like Haunted or Ready. And apparently I am not alone in having no idea who wrote on the various leaked songs besides Kelly herself, so that's not something we can use as a gauge either. It will ultimately come down to the production/sound more so than lyrics, and one produced song alone is not any indication of what he would come up with IMO. Lyrically, Haunted/Cry/Ready are all sufficient-to-good so I see no reason why anyone would worry about that. It's not set in stone yet anyway, but even if it was it's clear Kelly and RCA have had this Stronger-to-GH strategy planned for a while so if they were really planning for this single and album to do things I don't think they would even indulge Kelly's hopes about getting the lead single if they didn't think it had a strong chance of doing well this winter. I'm sure the song is very pop friendly. (Me, in lala land with no worries or cares or a computer monitor of her own so I can keep up with every little detail and agonize as much as I normally would )

Keep submitting those songs Sia, she and Kelly would make a nice team for sure. Something to look forward to for album 6.
All I Know was written by Kelly and former band member Danny Weisfeld. Credits for Don't Ever Give Up On Me are unknown, though Kelly surely wrote the bulk of it.

Jason Halbert produced Kelly's vocals on You Love Me, Standing in Front of You, Hello, Let Me Down, You Can't Win, from the Stronger album. That's good enough for me. :)
