If Dr. Luke had produced Don't Be A Girl About It, do you think it would have been an early single? It has a similar feel to My Life Would Suck Without You without sounding like Since U Been Gone part 2. I'd hate to think labels judge the singles based on the producers, but with RCA my guess is they do. same here the final version of DBAGAI sounds very similar to MLWSWY but idk if it's single potential... the production is catchy but the lyrics are not exactly mainstream

I'm so excited for the new tour! I am going to st louis. Was wondering if anyone had any guesses regardless setlists? Like what songs will we see from Thankful? Will Low or TTWLI return? Or BD? Will we see all 5 BA singles? Will any of them be changed up? Will we see NA? Will she perform HIF or something else from MD? What about AIEW? Will we see IDNHU or the title track or others? And what songs from Stronger? Will she perform DYWS? Thought it would be interesting to hear everyones guesses and "wish" set list!

"Since U Been Gone"* 3. "Standing In Front of You" 4. "Alone" 5. "Miss Independent" 6. "You Love Me"* 7. "Dark Side"* 8. "Behind These Hazel Eyes"* 9. "Because of You"* 10. "You Can't Win" 11. "I Forgive You" 12. "Breakaway" 13. "Never Again" 14. Some Cover 15. "Already Gone" 16. "Hello" 17. "My Life Would Suck Without You"* 18. "Breaking Your Own Heart" 19. "Let Me Down" ENCORE 20. "Why Don't You Try" 21. "Mr. Know It All"* It will definitely consist of the ones with asterisks. I'm not sure what else she'd perform.

My dad works for Allstate - who sponsors the Sugar Bowl down in New Orleans - and he told me tonight that Kelly's playing a free show down there January 2nd as part of some big fan fest thing. There are no announced acts yet for the Sugar Bowl (or any of the bowl games for that matter), but if it's true that's cool for people who are going/live near there. AHH NO WAY!!

I posted one a while back and can't find it. My dream set list: INTRO: Remix mash-up of WDKY, Stronger (Britney), and Stronger (Kanye) 01. Hello 02. You Can't Win 03. Miss Independent/Walk Away mash-up (from Ellen show) --First audience talk 04. Mr. Know It All 05. You Love Me 06. The War Is Over --Acoustic stuff 07. I Know You Won't (cover) 08. Breaking Your Own Heart 09. I Can't Make You Love Me (cover)* 10. Just Missed The Train/Maybe/Ready medley 11. Breakaway --Back to full band 12. Behind These Hazel Eyes 13. Never Again (remix) 14. Dark Side 15. Let Me Down 16. Honestly 17. Standing In Front Of You* 18. Sober 19. Already Gone --Encore DJ session: I Forgive You/Gone/One Minute/Alone 20. Someone Like You (cover) 21. Since U Been Gone 22. My Life Would Suck Without You 23. What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) Probably a couple more songs than she'll actually do, but whatever. She can cut the asterisked songs.

I'm thinking:
1.) What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)--- Of course, no denying that it will be included. Thought I'd open with it since it's so exciting. 2.) Mr. Know It All--- Since she said it's such an easy song, it'll be a breezy follow-up to an explosive opening. 3.) You Love Me 4.) Walk Away/Miss Independent Medley 5.) Since U Been Gone 6.) Never Again 7.) Behind These Hazel Eyes 8.) Let Me Down---Good followup, like Kelly mentioned. 9.) The War Is Over--- I find these two songs flow well with one another. It's probably because they're such huge songs. ***After TWIO, things get quieter for a while... acoustic?*** 10.) Breakaway 11.) Because of You 12.) I Know You Won't--- I need to be there if she sings this live. 13.) Sober 14.) Already Gone 15.) Just Missed The Train/Low/Gone Medley ***And we're back to loud/big*** 16.) Dark Side--- since it's kind of a creepy, soft beginning, I thought it would flow nicely with the last acoustic set. 17.) You Can't Win 18.) Alone 19.) I Do Not Hook Up 20.) Adele Cover--- A nice, emotional closer before the encore. Preferably "Someone Like You" or "Set Fire to the Rain". ***Encore*** 21.) Why Don't You Try 22.) My Life Would Suck Without You
Probably not going to be the case, and some of the songs don't really mesh together in a row, but I'd love it!

I actually think that "Don't Be A Girl About It" was never considered, regardless of the producers. There aren't that many big-name additions to this album, and yet a good amount of these small producers will have a hand in a single release. "Don't Be A Girl About It" is too much like "My Life Would Suck Without You", and, if possible, much more immature. I enjoy it, but if they considered releasing it I would question their judgment. My guess is most of the singles are in the first half of the album. Many immature songs have done well on radio. DBAGAI is a fun song and that's what sells today. I lurk or post on several of Kelly's boards and I don't notice too many complaints about the lyrics. Some feminists may get angry but otherwise I don't see the lyrics being a problem.

Oh yeah, I wasn't saying that it wasn't released since it was immature. Sorry if I implied that somehow. What I was trying to say even though I can never get my point across well at all is that I think since it was so sarcastic and silly and immature, it wasn't taken seriously by the label and probably the public. It's just a cute bonus track--- I don't think it could be any more than that. But it is cute and fun, and if they wanted it to be a summer single I wouldn't be too upset. There are much better songs that deserve single treatment more than this one, in my opinion.

I'm kinda hoping that for her tour she opens with either What Doesn't Kill You or with Since U Been Gone cause those really pump the crowd up!! (If I said that right... )

I'm not going to do a set list... just a set wish. I don't care what order, these are the songs I want included or not included. From Stronger: What Doesn't Kill You should be the opener, it's empowering, an anthem, and her vocals are still in top shape at the top of the show. Mr. Know It all Dark Side Honestly Let Me Down The War Is Over You Love Me Hello You Can't Win Don't Be A Girl About It From All I Ever Wanted: My Life Would Suck Without You Already Gone From My December: Sober Never Again From Breakaway/Thankful: Miss Independent/walk away medley Since You Been Gone Behind These Hazel Eyes Because Of You Covers: I Know You Won't Anything by Adele Some other cool mashup like That I Would Be Good/Use Somebody Songs I wish could be included but probably won't: Gone Long Shot Addicted (unless she does it in a medley) Chivas Songs I could do without: Standing In Front Of You Einstein Breakaway (I know this is one of her like... signature songs, but I find it soooo borrrringggg) I Want You.... adorable song, but it's kinda boring Anyway, I'm an RA in the dorms at my school, and I made a new bulletin board that has a mini Kelly shrine on it. My residents know of my obsession, I figured you guys might get a kick out of it too.

That plus People's Choice Awards (January 11) would be an awesome launching pad for the single. #wishfulthinking

Given the way things are going I didn't have much doubt, but I'm glad to see that promo is still a priority for Kelly after the New Year in spite of Adam releasing a really important single for his career. They still have faith, all will be swell.
Two songs for SNL...I'd say there's a high chance of her repeating what she did years ago and sing the current single WDKY (like she did with SUBG) and instead of opting for another challenging vocal and singing a potential single (DS/BTHE), she'll sing MKIA (like she did singing Breakaway). I'd like to be wrong, but even singing MKIA then plus the post-holiday boost will probably be enough to get MKIA to platinum.

SNL!? Awesome. That was one promo spot I wish she did for the album's release, I'm glad they scheduled it for this round of promo. Another +1 to Kelly's management and RCA's promo team.
It's probably too much to ask for her to appear in a skit or two like she's done previously, but given all the other surprises we've gotten this era, you never know.

Kelly's funny; hopefully she can be in at least one skit. (I don't know how common it is for the musical guest to appear in skits, though. Rurry, if you're lurking, this is your time to use your SNL knowledge.)

There's always the possibility of her performing one of her older hits versus doing her current single. But I think she would only be there to do her current one.

I'm uber-excited for VH1 Divas (being taped later today and airing on Monday, December 19): unclegrambo Mark Graham I never fail to be blown away by the power of Kelly Clarkson's voice. Watching her rehearse for tmw's #VH1DIVAS show right now. #best #fb andrewzimmern Andrew Zimmern @unclegrambo So true. Got to hear her all day singing to us during taping of @toyota commercial and I was blown away. unclegrambo Mark Graham @andrewzimmern She brings it, big time. She was probably at 80% effort today and she still sounded better than 95% of people out there.@jdpalmatier1016jamie Palmatier kelly🌷💞_clarkson just ran outside the Hammerstein to me. She is too legit. Singing stronger and then a soulful thing with mj & them.
