I can't at this "Britney is aging so poorly" comments. She looked like THIS literally 4 days ago. Can y'all not? I'd like to see some of you on your days off.

In that picture she is caked in make-up and her face looks like it's been contoured like a drag queen. She looks good but is that what she looks like regularly? I would say in recent years, most of the time she's looked older when she is photographed. It's not a petty shot, I like Britney but...can you really argue that it's not a thing?
The plastic surgery theory sounds likely and would also explain how she randomly looks amazing but then can easily fall back into looking much older.

The album drops off the BB 200 this week, but hangs on the Current Albums chart, dropping 97-160 in its 12th week.
I don't know if anyone responded earlier, but is the Vegas show mostly lip-synched or not?

LOL Is that a yes? Doesn't matter one way or the other in terms of the fans, but it's ridiculous for that one dude to say it would be live if it's not.

Given the amount of concert tours Britney Spears has already done, combined with her excellent box office scores in Vegas, I think whether or not she lip syncs is completely irrelevant at this stage in the game.

The show is blatantly lipsynched. Which is a shame, because some of the songs performed are over 15 years old, and we all know her voice has changed. "The Femme Fatale Tour" had pre-recorded vocals ontop of the tracks, you could hear adlibs in places that weren't on the album mixes, and it just added a live illusion to what we all knew wasn't live singing.
She's making BANK with this. And I'm happy to see her doing such a good job with the performances and box-office sales - but after videos of her forgetting to sing ("Alien"), and some of the songs that are PURELY album mixes -- they do need to do some reworking of the show.
Newer songs, get some pre-recorded vocals that SOUND live, change up the outfits. I'm paying to see her end of August front row, I'm excited to see her, but the setlist is kinda meh.

I think it's in her contract that she can't perform anywhere else in the US except for Vegas so the only show she could really do is the Billboard Awards in May. It doesnt mean stuff like TV show performances, it means she cant do a like a full concert show.

According to USA Today, the Vegas residency has grossed $10.9 million from her 16 shows and that all the shows so far have sold out.

Doesn't matter one way or the other in terms of the fans, but it's ridiculous for that one dude to say it would be live if it's not. It actually does matter to some extent to some fans. Personally, I'd have liked to hear some live/prerecorded live vocals. I don't think Larry's answer was ridiculous though. I can't think of any artist's management blatantly answering a question about lip synching with "He/she will not be singing live;" are there any recent examples of this? I really love Unbroken. I think its existence lends a little more support to the fan vision of what Femme Fatale was originally supposed to sound like. The bonus tracks, Unbroken, Orbit tracks like Alien...could have been something special. I still like FF as-is though.

Just meant that the true fans will go see the show, regardless of whether she sings live or not.
This is what he had said:
The idea is to try to get her pretty close to 100%. There might be some numbers where she's full out dancing with a (vocal) track underneath her, but there won't be any lip-syncing across the board on anything.
Not having heard all of the audio or seen the show... how true does that statement hold?

It doesn't. She lip-syncs the whole show, to CD vocals, every time. That person lied so as to not generate bad press before embarking on this huge Vegas residency. This can't possibly leave anymore room for this passive aggressive questioning.

This can't possibly leave anymore room for this passive aggressive questioning. Regardless of what some have to say, I'm 73% sure the spoken word bits between songs are live. If you listen to the audio from various shows, the inflections during "Now I need y'all to help me count to 3," "Give it up for my amazing dancers," and "Thank you so much, have a great night" are clearly not always on the same note. I do agree with the "avoiding bad press" bit though...it wouldn't have been prudent to admit that beforehand. Again, I haven't seen any recent examples of artists/managers doing so before a show, although I guess I could take it upon myself to peruse the threads of other acts who utilize lip synching to see if statements were made prior to performances about the likelihood of them miming.

No disrespect to holiday guy but he's so passive in his statements regarding britney. Yeah for me i knew it would go one of two ways... More live singing would equal less dancing than ff tour More dancing would equal no singing. I can talk my talk all i want as i paid for nye front row. Seriously, the bish coulda sing lucky to sellout shows despite no singing, everytime and, peefumes. I can say that alien should be added to that list as well since it was added recently. I swear on everything i could have sworn i heard her sing at least 10 words of wb and peefumes and a couple of piece of me. Well let's pray that the reason she been in the gym so much during her break is because she wants to be in good shape for a new video. The fact that its gotten so bad that i actually hope she gives us a 3rd single to make blackouts output... So many things have smacked the army in the face... Uncertified non #1 album Potential two single era serving certifiable flop realness a la cant be tamed, discipline, lotus bionic and glitter. Didnt kesha even have a 3rd single? As did madonnas last one? Alien better happen...for her catalogs sake and for her videographys sake. My only hope is that they give us a 3rd single even if its just a promotional tool for the new shows I can deal with all the signs of floppage but i wont tolerate 3 things: An era with no iconic songs and/or video...wb is an iconic song. Deal An era with horrible or worst no concert grosses... Shes slaying. Wipes forehead. An era with less than 3 singles...a meltdown might ensue if alien or passenger doesnt happen.

I just would not have said anything about it, or not have made a point to flat-out say what he did.
The show's doing well, financially, so it probably wouldn't have been impacted, anyhow. People know what they're getting beforehand, which goes back to my earlier comment about the fans not minding, on the whole, one way or the other.

If we don't get a 3rd single, I'm fine with RCA releasing promo remix packages like we have been getting lately. However, Britney did confirm #Alien becoming a single during her documentary, "I Am Britney Jean."

I really doubt they'll be pushing a third single from this project. Album sales are abysmal and as iconic as everyone claims Work Bitch is, it isn't even certified as a single. I think they'll just focus on making sure Vegas gets better and better than pouring more money into a project which was pretty much DOA.
I wish they would have pushed Alien as the first single. That's the only song off Britney Jean that has staying power with me and I really think they could have made that into a career song for her.

Either way, I hope she releases Alien if not for another tool to entice more Vegas turnout even though it's been sold out since it's debut

Does anybody else think TTB would sound great on radiio?! To me, it's one of the clear choices for a single, along with ISBE and NTIFY.

"Perfume" peaked back in December. At this point there will be no third single and that's not a problem because I feel that neither Britney or her team really care about this project so why even try? I'd rather them release nothing more than to randomly throw out singles with no promotion or effort at all. It's a smack in the face to all of us who actually care about Britney's music and career. Maybe over this year she can work on an album that she actually likes and then come back in the fall actually ready to promote and perform. Honestly, it's not like she needs to be every performing. Just the big punches like the award shows and maybe one or two big interviews.
I actually really enjoy Britney Jean but it was an obvious decrease in quality and at this point in her career that shouldn't be happening. She needs to work with brand new producers that will bring her a new, inventive sound because that's what we know Britney for. Always bringing us the best of the best.

Perfume could have performed better with something to ignite interest, like the originally planned video. Without that, it was just left to sink or swim with no performance and a video that was a non-event and would have been just as well off not existing at all. I think that TIG and Passenger could have both out peaked Perfume, especially with decent videos or performances, however if neither of those things were going to happen these are the two songs that could stand on their own feet.
Britney has always been a very visual artist. You have to get the full picture - the video, the song, the performance - to appreciate the impact of her singles. Only WB even almost had that this era. They threw Britney Jean to the wolves.

Her videos, choreography and performance usually bring her songs to a whole 'nother level. In general, I feel music comes to its best in visual forms but with artists like Britney, Janet, Michael, Madonna, etc. is where it really shines so we're gonna need her to bring it back.
