"Tuskegee" WAS advertised by their label too. Then again, it's been at #1 on the all-genre iTunes chart ALL week, sold 20k in an hour on HSN and will have the best opening week for a country related album this year (that is until Rascal Flatts outsells it this week). Not so fast. From HITS: Big Machine country stalwarts Rascal Flatts’ Changed is on target for sales between 100-125k The band’s last album, 2010’s Nothing Like This, racked up 160k in first-week numbers on the way to 1.1 million total. That seems pretty low to me, especially considering how well both "I Won't Let Go" and "Easy" sold digitally in the last year or so.

Big & Rich working on new album, ‘Hillbilly Jedis’
Big & Rich hasn’t had a new studio album in about five years, but Big Kenny Alphin and John Rich say that’s about to change.
“Everything about Big & Rich is kicking back into gear in 2012,” says Rich. “People said, ‘Where you all been for the last few years?’ Well, it’s pretty simple: writing songs and making babies.”
The duo spent last summer on tour with Gretchen Wilson and realized its fan base is still intact and hungry for music. So, they’re logging studio time with famed producer Dann Huff and making music they describe as “explosive.”
“We got a song called “That’s Why I Pray” that I think is going to be a landmark, career song for us,” Rich says.
And thanks to rocker Jon Bon Jovi, Big & Rich already have the title for their new album: Hillbilly Jedis.
“It came out in a writing session we were doing with Richie Sambora and Bon Jovi we were doing the other week,” Alphin says. “They are going to record the song on our new album and a line in the song was hillbilly jedis with attitude. All of a sudden, Bon Jovi stops and says, ‘Hillbilly Jedis? That’s it. I’d buy that shirt.’ We were like, ‘Hey, that’s about a descriptive as you can get of what we are.’”
Alphin says the new album is similar to the duo’s first, Horse of a Different Color, in that it offers “that same kind of heartfelt, poignant songs and a lot of good fun and pushing the limits as far as we can.”

^ Love the album title and cover, and his current single is one of his best ever. Definitely at least interested in checking out if the album is any good when the release date rolls around. I've never voluntarily purchased an AJ album, though I own Freight Train after receiving it as a gift. When he's on point, AJ is a pretty solid artist, but I can never get into him or enough of his material to truly become a fan of his though.

I think you're the first person I've ever heard who isn't lol

Bradley Gaskin released his 4 song EP today on ITunes. itunes.apple.com/us/album/bradley-gaskin-ep/id514362803Wow this is traditional Country at its best! If this guy had been around in the 90s he would have been a superstar. Too bad radio doesn't play this kinda music anymore from new artists (Mr Bartender proved that). A song on here called "Satan Knew My Grandma Well" is one of the best real traditonal songs I've ever heard! All tradional fans should check this out!

You can preview Kip Moore's album on iTunes now. I like it quite a bit...I think "Somethin' 'Bout A Truck" is my least favorite on it, lol. Anyway, there will be a deluxe edition of the album featuring 3 additional tracks, one of them being "Mary Was The Marrying Kind". There's also an acoustic version of "Somethin' 'Bout A Truck" and another track called "Motorcycle".
Here are the writing credits for all the tracks except "Motorcycle", which I haven't been able to find just yet.
Track List:
1. Drive Me Crazy (Kip Moore/Keifer Thompson) 2. Beer Money (Kip Moore/Troy Verges/Blair Daly) 3. Somethin' 'Bout A Truck (Kip Moore/Troy Verges/Blair Daly) 4. Everything But You (Kip Moore/Trent Summar) 5. Crazy One More Time (Kip Moore/Aimee Mayo/Chris Lindsey) 6. Where You Are Tonight (Kip Moore/Troy Verges/Blair Daly) 7. Hey Pretty Girl (Kip Moore/Dan Couch) 8. Reckless (Still Growin' Up) (Kip Moore/Dan Couch) 9. Up All Night (Kip Moore/Brett James) 10. Fly Again (Kip Moore/Dan Couch/Dave Lapsley) 11. Faith When I Fall (Kip Moore/Brett James) 12. Mary Was The Marrying Kind [Deluxe Edition Only] (Kip Moore/Dan Couch/Scott Stepakoff) 13. Motorcycle [Deluxe Edition Only] 14. Somethin' 'Bout A Truck (Acoustic) [Deluxe Edition Only]

Yeah, thanks for that link, mairy. Greg's album is absolutely flawless. I have no doubt he's going to be a big star. Republic seems to really be behind this guy and they've done wonders for The Band Perry and the Eli Young Band. I think they've got the next big thing in Greg.
Greg is registered on BMI and there are 141 titles under his name. I found the writing credits for all the songs on his album, except for "Brothers". The hook in that song is nearly identical to the one from Dean Brody's song "Brothers", but the songs are different. I did find a YouTube video of Greg performing his song "Brothers" and he said he wrote it, but I can't find it on BMI or ASCAP anywhere. So, aside from that one song, here are the writing credits for Greg's self-titled debut:
1. Go Time (Greg Bates/Shane McAnally/Jimmy Ritchey)
2. Fill In The Blank (Greg Bates/Shane McAnally/Josh Osborne)
3. Brothers
4. Did It For The Girl (Greg Bates/Rodney Clawson/Lynn Hutton)
5. Lost In Caroline (Greg Bates/Donald Poythress/Wynn Varble)
6. I'm On It (Greg Bates/Aaron Scherz)
7. Whipped (Greg Bates/Barry Dean/Andrew Dorff)
8. The Smallest Towns (Greg Bates/Donald Poythress/Tony Wood)
9. Hurtin' On Me (Greg Bates/Shane McAnally/Josh Osborne)
10. When You Love Me Again (Greg Bates/Justin Weaver/Jon Mabe)
11. Nothin' A Country Boy Can't Fix (Greg Bates/Justin Weaver/Jon Mabe)
12. Kissin' (Greg Bates/Shane McAnally/Josh Osborne)

Thanks for that. Really liking this guy. Go Time is as good an up-tempo as I've heard in a while. It would be a risk as a single, but it would be quite refreshing to hear on the radio. The only song I didn't really like was Brothers, which was a bit schmaltzy for my tastes (though not as nauseating as the Dean Brody song). Kissing was kind of cheesy, but it had a likeable charm to it. On first listen, I'm not sure it's quite as good as Easton Corbin's debut, but it's darn close, and that's saying something. Really hoping he takes off in a big way; Easton Corbin's going to need some help keeping this kind of sound alive.

Just found out via Matt mason Facebook page that his 6 song EP titled "Chasing Stardust" will be out May 1st.
Matt Mason was the winner of CMT's Next Superstar last year and also a contestant on Nashville Star the year Chris Young won it. Great country sound and he really rounds out the class of 2012 in a fantastic way!

Carrie's "Blown Away" should now have no problem debuting at #1, as Colt Ford has moved his album back to June 5. [sigh of relief]
