I'm actually pretty surprised by the level of hate for "Black & Yellow". My least favourite is "Moves Like Jagger", but even that I thought was passable when it first came out.

I don't think Black and Yellow is horrible either, it's just the worst of the bunch.

Grenade. Black and Yellow is probably the worst song in all honesty, but Grenade is one of those songs I just wanna puke my guts out while being forced to listen to it again. I don't even listen to radio much, but I could not escape it. I've heard Black and Yellow maybe once. This, exactly. These two were the worst for me, but Grenade was inescapable. It makes me wanna put a bullet through my brain.

I appreciate the message and all, but I just can't listen to Born This Way.

"Black & Yellow" is my least favorite, but it's still great. There haven't been any particularly bad Hot 100 toppers this year.
If we looked at CHR/Pop though, "Stereo Hearts" is dreadful.

"Grenade". To people voting "Born This Way" over some of this other garbage, I can't.

Moves Like Jagger/Born This Way.
I think Grenade; lyrically, melodically, vocally, is worth a hundred Born This Way's. For what it's worth.

I don't remember Wiz's song so I voted for S&M.

This is a tough call between "Last Friday Night" and "Black And Yellow." I guess I'll go with Wiz, but that could change.

Hold It Against Me @ #60. You know, the song that sold 411k in its first week (and broke the record for biggest female debut.. ofc Gaga broke it again like 4 weeks later), and then fell off the chart in less than 20 weeks..
#noshade, but I gotta say, that was an awful chart run.
Reminds me of Crack a Bottle, which coincidently was a record breaking week (biggest opening week) that got broken again soon after. And then fell off the chart really fast.

I guess i'm wondering what the "worst performing" #1 was. And in this case, it's Hold It Against Me. No?

Chart wise for 2011, I would say so for HIAM.
Not sure about all time though. Those American Idol winners singles (especially Taylor Hicks) probably have it beat in weak chart performance.

"Hold It Against Me" is my least favorite. "S&M" and "Last Friday Night" are up there as well. I still think it's odd that "Black & Yellow" hit #1.

Firework and Born This Way were two appalling atrocities from artists who otherwise have shown consistency in churning out quality pop hits. And then there's Hold It Against Me from the always unflattering Britney Spears. But really, there's no denying that the biggest musical abomination of the year was Black & Yellow.
