"Nobody Knows" is really, really good. Carrie would sound beautiful singing this song. I hope it did indeed make the album. It made sense to me that Carrie would connect with the song lyrically, because she's talking about how "nobody knows" about the darker/different sides to herself and her relationship with her husband (that's how I saw it anyway), and I'm sure she's learned a heck of a lot about being married to her husband after taking a year off. The melody/production has a hint of darkness and sadness to it as well; I'd be interested to see her take on this.
That's a great observation about the OZ references; a lot of people have speculated if "Blown Away" also connects to that theme in some way. One complaint I had about PO was that it isn't as cohesive as her past albums, so I'd be really thrilled if they used a kind of creative connection throughout the whole album.

I love Nobody Knows and think Carrie would take an already great song to the next level. I'm way more excited about Blown Away than I was before. In the case Carrie passed on something like Nobody Knows, then she must have had something better up her sleeve.

Has it been confirmed that Nobody Knows is an actual track on Blown Away or are we just assuming it is? If so, this would be a big departure from anything Carrie's recorded before which would be really refreshing. When Carrie mentioned this would be her best work, this song would certainly fit the bill.

Nobody Knows really is a great song, and I'd love to hear Carrie sing it.

Wow, that really is well written. I hope it makes the album. Certainly there's a spot for it.

LOVE the song! It better be freaking on the album or, if they turned it down, something even more fantastic better be on it. I love the piano so they better keep the arrangement the way it is....

The Single Up to #14 itunes ALL GENRE, #1 Country. Rascall Flatts is catching up fast. It's #15 all genre and #2 country and it has potential to pass GG anytime soon. KEEP BUYING The RF song is an iTunes countdown single...they're releasing one track per week until their album comes out April 3. I guess it could pass "Good Girl", but it'd be very brief. "Changed" will begin to drop next week when the next countdown single comes out, whereas "Good Girl" will probably stay fairly steady, maybe climbing a bit yet, as its airplay continues to build. Yes you are so right . RF's changed is not shadowing GG anymore. Changed is down to #18 While GG up one spot to #13

The messages of "Good Girl" and "Nobody Knows" are polar opposites. That man you're with is no good/you know nothing about the man I'm with! Really like the song though. Carrie would sound great on it. Looking foward to a track listing.

I'm hoping Good Girl is kind of being used as a transition from the Carrie we know to the adult woman she's grown up to be. I really am hoping this is a more mature album, and if Nobody Knows is in fact on the album, then I think we may be in store for that.

So B.o.B is releasing his album on May 1st aswell... and with a collab with Taylor Swift... I wonder how much of her sales power will help his album against Carrie's...

I'd be shocked if it affected his album sales that much. The song will probably be the best selling from the album, but it shouldn't increase sales so much that it challenges Carrie for the top.

In response to the latest discussion on the album release, who else is releasing an album May 1st? Will Carrie be up against stiff competition? I see B .o. B, but is there anyone else?
Thanks!

Why are people saying in the comments on the GG video on YouTube that the album will be 99 cents?

Not a full list, I'm sure, but this is what I have noted: Norah Jones - Little Broken Hearts Carrie Underwood - Blown Away Faith Hill - (TBA) Marina & The Diamonds - Electra Heart (April 30) B.o.B. - Strange Clouds Switchfoot - Vice Re-Verses (Switchfoot's is a remix album that's getting a digital release that day after being available physically on Record Store Day.) I don't follow sales all that well, but I don't see Carrie having a problem reaching #1.

Yea, it doesn't look like Carrie will have much trouble at all.

Why are people saying in the comments on the GG video on YouTube that the album will be 99 cents? There's no way they will be doing any kind of 99-cent deal on its opening week. Billboard has made a rule that any album sold for less than $3.49 within the first four weeks of release won't be counted toward its album total, so it would be a really foolish move.

The Cover of "Blown Away" gives the impression of a stormy/windy theme.... but I'm wondering since Carrie likes playing with the meaning of words this era ... and the fact that she has mentioned there is a body count on this album, if the song "Blown Away" is about someone getting shot.. since it is also sometimes reffered to as getting blown away...?? just a thought...

Norah Jones won't be any threat since her last opening was less than half of Carrie's, and that was, what, 5 years ago? B.o.B shouldn't be a threat in the slightest, and Faith Hill's album name isn't even released. The date might be pushed since no news has leaked, and the pegged release date is less than a month and a half away.
Yeah, Carrie should get the #1 pretty easily, unless B.o.B or Norah Jones miraculously spur some mega-monster hit that completely takes over within the next 4 weeks.

That fall of GG from #18 to #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart really lets me down :( ... It does not look like GG is going to cross over. Yet. :/ Even CC had its peak (#11) in its 2nd week on the chart. Well, I was hoping for a no-problem-top10-entrance. Still a great song!

Carrie Underwood has had ten major (top 20) hits on the Hot 100. They are: 1. Inside Your Heaven-2005-#1 2. Jesus, Take The Wheel-2006-#20 3. Before He Cheats-2006-#8 4. I'll Stand By You-2007-#6 5. So Small-2007-#17 6. Last Name-2008-#19 7. I Told You So-with Randy Travis-2009-#9 8. Cowboy Casanova-2009-#11 9. Remind Me-with Brad Paisley-2011-#17 10. Good Girl-2012-#18 Not bad for someone who refuses to remix her songs for other formats. You can make a greatest hits CD from just her pop hits alone.

I think GG is actually showing more signs of crossing over than CC did. Hot AC is already picking up on GG (it has over 100 spins on that format and is in the top 50 on mediabase), and at least one Top 40 station has given the song a few spins (apparently with great feedback from listeners). I don't recall CC getting much attention from non-country formats until it had already peaked on country.

It is not about someone getting shot. The setting of the song is a house in Oklahoma and the weatherman calling for a twister. ....

I do not think Carrie Underwood wants to be associated with violence.
