Why it is pointless? It is the truth LOL
You guys complain about the promotion? Maybe because Madonna thinks that it is pointless since she has already done the best ever promotion on the planet and the song still was a massive flop regardless of its peak. People are just not interested in her and it is mostly Madonna fans that will buy her records now. Thats not a bad thing, at least she still has fans willing to support her but you guys should face the reality, that Madonna isnt what she used to be and stop pretending she is still somebody who cannot be touched.

Las Vegas and Kansas City are the biggest markets where the song has been added.

We do not need to pretend anything. Maybe you should stop going in a Madonna thread and talking about the wrong song and shoving your opinion down everyones throat. You seem to be ignorant of the music business. Most artist that if they are lucky to be around after a period sell mostly to their fan base. No one has a peak that last forever. Your also confusing quality with commercial success. It is reactive. You sound desperate and jealous of something. No one is what they use to be, Adele in 10 or 20 years will not be what she was in terms of commercial success or anyone that is currently hot for that matter. Hopefully if there a hall of famer (like Madonna) they will still be releasing music and have fan bases that can get them top 10 or number 1 albums.

Going into today, I was thinking GGW might get around 12 adds - anything less than 10 would have been disappointing, 15 would have been good, and 20 was the most I was expecting. So 21 is definitely a good start - probably the most single-week adds for any of Madonna's second singles since DTM.
Now I hope all these stations give GGW some real spins, not just overnights once per day (as tended to happen with Sorry and GI2M). If GGW can average 15 weekly spins at each added station, the song will be threatening to go top 50 CHR/Pop by this time next week. And perhaps a few additional stations will start spinning over the next few days. The next test - is it a one-week phenomenon, or can the song attract additional stations next week?

As of 28 March, 2012 1:00 AM US iTunes#82 Girl Gone Wild - Madonna[/b] Girl Gone Wild by Madonna from the album MDNA (Deluxe Version)This isn't the Single release that is charting. it's the track from the Deluxe edition. Would this still be cumulative on the single's perfromance as a whole????

Another interesting article from UK: Madonna should take cues from Adele Madonna’s single Gimme All Your Luvin fell out of the top 50 after launching her new song to an audience of 114 million at the Super Bowl. As far as press and promotion, it doesn’t get better than this. The single has dropped out of the Top 50 in the Official UK and iTunes charts. The world watched Madonna lip synch her greatest hits at the Super Bowl which received mix reviews. The Telegraph’s music critic Neil McCormick said the stunt was a “shameless promotion of her return to the pop front line”. “This was Madonna’s first performance at the Super Bowl, and the “it-girl” of 1980s pop confirmed she is no longer at the height of her popularity or provocative powers with a tame, somewhat leaden performance.” (Indianapolis Business Journal) Early critics said the only reason Madonna was tapped for the gig was to attract a large share of women viewers for the Super Bowl. Regardless, It is one of the worst showings in almost three decades of chart hits for the singer in a career that has generated 13 UK number ones. The record executives signed Madonna to a three-album deal earlier in the year are scratching their heads. Madonna who has conquered the world of music has failed to see the latest trend. The world fell in love with Adele, the exact polar opposite of the material girl who swept the Grammy Awards with her sophomore album that pushed past Whitney Houston’s soundtrack to “The Bodyguard” for the longest command for an album by a woman in the chart’s 56-year history. Madonna appears on stage like a Gucci-coated cheerleader, carried out Cleopatra-style, by a group of dancers dressed as ancient warriors. Adele sings in front of a band never ceasing to wow her audiences. Nothing flashy. Nothing over the top. Adele said in an interview: I like having my hair and face done, but I’m not going to lose weight because someone tells me to. I make music to be a musician not to be on the cover of Playboy. Madonna should take cues from the new queen of pop. Source: www.kingsofar.com/madonna-should-take-cues-from-adele/Seriously .... GO TO HELL

GO TO HELL If they really want to go 'Adele' with Madonna's record, put out "Masterpiece" as a single. "Nothing Fails" was the last proper ballad. It's about time.

..and I still swear that peterparker and oinapead are the same person. They always show up at the same time, and defend each other every time someone questions their posts, or opinions on something.

Especially when they go out of their way to just find whatever negative thing possible. Their is a difference between stating an opinion and just being a biased hater. You will not find one post by me in a forum on an artist I'm not into, because I have no interest in them so what is the point.

According to a posting by Medazzaland at DJRicoMixshow, a CD single is supposed to be released on April 17, and a 12" vinyl picture disc on April 24.
Travis at the same board mentioned that a 3 track CD single was given in the gift bags at the GLAAD's event in NYC over the weekend.
It had the following tracklisting: 1. Album Version (3:47) 2. Justin Cognito Extended Remix (4:48) 3. Dave Audé Remix (8:07)
I hope that if they do a physical release, it has more than 3 versions on it. No word on an iTunes release date.

Are we going to get another batch of remixes soon? Was hoping it might include an Avicii and Benassi mixes that were played in Miami this weekend. I liked both of them.

April 1st week would be ideal and not middle of the month.

Suggestion. Ignore those two, why ruin this high, with people whose only intention is to tear M down. She doesn't have anything to prove, she doesn't need to learn anything and heck, she doesn't need anyone to tell her how to manage her career. After 30 years, she may not be the best selling, but she is pretty freakin' awesome and not any little queen can take that from her.
Back to M's Girl Gone Wild.
