I bought this album at a used CD store for $1.95. All I can say is... you would have NO idea how great her career would be based off of this album. There's some good stuff, though. "What Made You Say That" is lots of fun and extremley catchy. That video though...

Yeah, this album is so different than the three that followed. I remember her saying that she wanted to record more of her own songs for the album, but Mercury didn't think she was ready. So, she ended up having to record other people's songs (except for "God Ain't Gonna Getcha For That").
There are some pretty good songs here - namely, "What Made You Say That", "Dance With The One That Brought You", "God Ain't Gonna..." and "When He Leaves You".
It's funny how this ended up going platinum after the success of The Woman In Me, when it pretty much bombed initially. TWIM revitalized its sales, much like 21 revitalized sales of 19 for Adele (except that Adele's album was fairly successful when it was first released).

I actually really enjoy this album. While it's nowhere near as good as the three that followed, it's still a very solid record all the way through. I love, especially, how all the songs give me a very nostalgic feeling when listening. I'd actually say "Still Under the Weather" is one of my favorite songs by her ever and probably one of the most overlooked gems in her discography.

Oh yeah, "Still Under The Weather" is a pretty decent song too. I remember the singles from the album getting a fair bit of airplay here due to CanCon rules (especially "What Made You Say That"). I never would have guessed that she'd go on to have the career that she did.

While I rarely revisit this album I always liked "What Made You Say That" and "Under The Weather" for songs and thought she made great videos for all three of the singles!
