John Legend is one of the writers of this. I'm curious to hear it.

I'm really anxious to hear this. I'm especially intrigued considering it's a John Legend song. Does anyone know if he (or anyone else) has recorded it before?
Hopefully this is a little more radio friendly than "Come Home". I do think that country radio would welcome her back if she gave them something that they could play.

I am so excited to hear this. "Come Home" was just not doing it for me. I hope this one will be better

I am curious to hear this, and I have my fingers crossed that this is a 180 from Come Home, because it would have to be for radio to latch onto it. Although, I'm a bit concerned since she seems to be reaching for yet another off-the-wall cover song, after that method failed miserably the first time around.

If it's a ballad or midtempo I'm going to claw my eyes out. She needs a fun uptempo song after the hot mess and fiasco that 'Come Home' was.

To the best of my knowledge, Faith Hill is the first one to record it. The only reference I can find to any sort of performance of it is this article that mentions Hill performing it for the pilot of a proposed John Legend TV series.

I'm really hope that this next single is different than "Come Home". Not that it was a bad song, I just think she can do so much better!

Faith debuted three new songs at the CRS event for Warner Brothers. This song wasn't one of them and there was no mention of it or the fact she had a new single coming out at all. Needless to say the reviews of her appearance received high marks and lots of excitement. I was hoping she'd play this song but the two that were spoken about sound interesting. Faith debuted 3 songs this afternoon at Warner's lunch: "Heaven in my Heart," "American Heart" & "Illusion" played we dismissed. #crs2012 -- musicrow"Hill introduced "600 Years" and sang it live for the first time. The romantic ballad draws heavily on her gospel influences, both musically and lyrically. However, Hill did not indicate it would be her next single. If it is released, though, expect to hear it at weddings for years to come." "She followed that with "American Heart," insisting that such a thing can never be broken. New Orleans and Detroit get shout-outs in the lyrics, as do California and Texas. Her longtime label would be wise to release it as a single soon, now that we're just a few months out from the Fourth of July." -- CMT news

Glad to hear some positive reaction to Faith's new material. This is probably my mosy anticipated album of 2012.

Thanks for posting those videos! I love Faith and have been eagerly anticipating her return...but I must admit....I've been underwhelmed thus far. From the sounds of the video the song "600 Years" doesn't entice me either.

I really hate to say it but I think the Faith Hill we all know and love is gone. She's just not the same anymore

Plus, it seems to me like she's having difficulty singing. I've never described her singing as effortless before, but it seems to have gotten worse. My enjoyment of a performance is considerably diminished when it looks like the singer is in pain.
Well, she'll always have Fireflies which I thought was a pretty good album and introduced us to Lori McKenna.

I was cheking BMI yesterday and looks like she wrote a song called Wilderness with Chris Martin from Coldplay.
I'm getting a little scared with all these non-country names getting involved on this project.

^ I think we have seen in the last couple of day that the songs really don't need to be Country if they are good.

What are they waiting for? I don't think this is the single. In all honesty, I don't think they have any concrete plans yet. "Come Home" didn't do what they wanted, and she's probably trying to figure out how to finish the album. So they might be putting a lot of thought into what they should release next and kinda just "writing off" CH and almost looking at the next single as the one they need to get right in order to launch the album.

^Could be. She didn't sing this song at the recent CRS thing. I think they need to get something out there soon though.

If they are smart it'll be something like 'The Lucky One'-- perfect blend of pop and country.

^I think that would be a safe bet to stick with the Fireflies format. At the same time I like Faith pop aka Cry-era so I'm a little torn and I'm sure she is too as to what type of music she should make. I think this is a big problem for a lot of the country/pop artists of the 90s, 00s, and now. I would love a cohesive album that flows together well but I almost think it would be better if she just made this next album have a lot of variety on it that is country, pop, and soul/rnb which will hopefully go over well with all of her fans.

I think one of the main reasons that "Come Home" failed at radio is because Faith waits so long between releases. It's been almost 7 years since she released a new album, and in that length of time radio receives so much material from newer artists. So with each album she is seemingly trying to make a comeback.

I don't think Faith has honestly cared about her radio career since the 90s. Since 2000 she has had an increasing "F You" attitude toward the industry which started to emerge publicly around the time she won FVOT that year at the CMAs. I don't think she even knows what kind of music she wants to make. I mean she said she scrapped 2 albums in the last 7 years that she said was her "best material in her career" in order to complete this 3rd unreleased album only to be led with "Come Home" which is nowhere near the top quality of her previous material. I honestly don't expect to see a new Faith album anytime soon. She's probably going to scrap most of this and start over again. I used to be a fan of hers in her early and peak years but throughout the last 10 years I've liked her less and less as an artist.

^you might be right but she did choose to sing this new song while in Australia and I would think if she intended on scraping it, she would have just stuck with her older material.
