Trisha Yearwood Reveals Goals for Garth Brooks Duet Album and Tour; Garth Announces Canadian Show
Trisha Yearwood is currently in the studio working on a new solo album, and her long-awaited duets record with husband Garth Brooks may be on deck after that.
Garth has said that he and Trisha will probably hit the road again for a big tour in 2014. That's when the youngest daughter in their family heads off to college.
"That would be the time to release a duet album because if you're touring together and you can actually sing the songs together onstage, that would make the most sense," Trisha tells ABC News Radio.
In the meantime, fans can see Trisha making regular appearances onstage with Garth at his one-man show at the Wynn Las Vegas. This marks the first time the couple has worked together onstage for an extended period of time.
Trisha comes out towards the end of most shows, and she says, "I'm like shiny quarter, and people go crazy and it's fun. So, I get that little moment of getting to go out and shine, and then I'm done."
Trisha's glad that fans are really getting to see Garth's goofy side at the Wynn shows, but she admits she has to be quick with him.
"If I say something really funny, the next night he'll say it before I come out there," Trisha says. "Like, he just totally rips off my stuff."
Their onstage dynamic allows Trisha to realize a childhood dream though. She says, "It's kind of Sonny and Cher-like really, which I love because, you know, I've always wanted to be Cher anyway."
Garth's shows at the Wynn continue April 20 and 21.He's also announced a one-off show Thursday, July 12 at the 2012 Calgary Stampede festival at the Scotiabank Saddledome. This year is the Calgary Stampede's 100th anniversary.
Trisha Yearwood's new Food Network series, Trisha Yearwood's Kitchen, premieres April 14.
Yes I seen this earlier today and was estatic, I can't wait for new material and Trisha as well. It seems like all my favorites are working on albums right now (Jo Dee, Lee Ann, LeAnn, Faith) I can't wait to hear all these albums. As for Jessica I'm thinking the label she is going to sign with will be Bigger Picture, she gave a hint in the interview that Marcel worked with the labels artists a few times and Bigger Picture is the only one he's done more than one video for.
New Trisha Yearwood music? Count me in! I need this woman's voice back on my radio.
Does she still have a label?
I don't know, but she probably has millions of dollars and is married to the best selling Country artist of all time. I don't think finding a label would be too hard of a task.
I can't wait for new music! Her voice is so pure and unique!

yeah it seems to be Bigger Picture. I have all her albums, been a fan since she first came out. Hopefully radio will play her when she releases a single.
and I agree, glad to hear Jo Dee, Lee Ann, LeAnn and Faith have new albums, as well as Trisha. Hopefully female country singers can have a resurgence at country radio

This. I think she's gone from Big Machine, but that doesn't mean she can't easily find a replacement to promote her album. She's definitely not the selling power or the radio hitmaker she used to be, but she's still an incredibly well-respected country name that any label would be happy to host, even if just for one album and maybe a single or two.
And naturally, her duet album with Garth will be a huge success when they decide to go for that.
I was at the All For The Hall concert tonight and it was THE COOLEST moment ever to see this happen for Keith in person. SO happy for him! He definitely deserves it! Wish I had recorded it!
After Rascal Flatts performed, Vince Gill told Rascal Flatts to come back on the stage and bring the gift they had for Keith. Diamond Rio and The Oak Ridge Boys also came back on stage. RF had a big black bag that they laid on the floor for Keith to open. Vince told Keith that they had a surprise for him, and "No, it's not Nicole", he joked. Keith opened the bag and there was the iconic Opry mic stand in the bag and RF and Vince invited Keith to be the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry. Then Keith started crying! I was almost as excited as he was to witness this moment live It was SO awesome!

I love Kellie Coffey! I have her debut album, and every song on it is great. Her voice is truly nothing short of amazing. I also really love Texas Plates, and I can't believe it wasn't a big hit for her on radio, or at least enough to get her sophomore album released... it was such a radio friendly song.

"Yes sir , Mr. Curb , we do believe by basically renaming Curb Records the world will forget about all the careers you've damaged and/or destroyed"

Does anyone know when she left Big Machine? I didn't realize she wasn't there anymore until just now. I just checked, and she's not listed on their site, so I think you guys are right. I'm surprised I never heard anything about that until now.
^It looks like the tornado hit the southern suburbs of Wichita, and just missed downtown by a couple of miles. I am a meteorology major in school so I find storms interesting, but it is so scary when things like this happen so I hope everyone is safe.

I've had a lifelong interest in meteorology, more of a hobby. I'm glad it passed East of downtown. Close call for the Miranda show and arena full of people. Prayers for everyone affected tho!
